Squidly I can not disagree with you there. There is also much to be said about maney folks doing things differently I would have to admit as much faith as I have in a good quality tire plug I still would only trust the ones I install myself. there is no room on the road for a shoddy repair. You are are also very right in say if one is to make an error in judgement do it in the direction of safty. I also remember your tire incident and am very glad you are still with us.

Night riding on the interstates -- what's the big deal?
saddlebum replied to Dave77459's topic in Watering Hole
I love night riding after a hard day's work I find it very theraputic -
Remember not all plugs are equal in qaulity the two brands I mentioned in my earlier post are extremly reliable I have even put 2 in large holes and never had one leak or fail . but there are maney out there I would not give the time of day to. So when it comes to plug or not to plug product quality is a BIG factor

Excuse me but the summer before last I took Rocket on the back of my first gen to Marcarls great and meet than proceeded to allow him a comfortable rear seat ride ( which could only be accomplished with a 1st gen) when we all went on a cruise. Further more on the way Home we left a bunch of harly's that didn't want us to pass them on the highway eating our dust and that was with 2 up each of us over 225 lbs. So not only did this 1st genner offer the olive branch but had the power to spare .:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:I must shamefully admit that I did threaten to throw him off at the 1st sign of a good looking female hitchiker:lightbulb:

Sorry to disagree with you sguidly but I too have vast tire experience and 1) a patch on the inside only prevents air from leaving the tire, the puncture is still open to the enviroment . on the othe hand a good quality plug such as perma or techcan seals the entire hole . and I have never had a tire fail from using these plugs and in 35 years of fleet maint. I have inserted hundreds of them and using the proper tools does not hurt the belt any more than the original object may have the tool tends to spread the belt which intme close back up on the plug

If it didn't loose any fluid laying on its side it wont hurt anything just charge it if it fails to charge throw an aspirin ( pure aspirin not tylonal or advil etc.) in each cell and continue to charge . If it lost fluid just adding distilled water is not a good enough you have to add electrolyte (acid) Its not the same as when you loose fluid under normal use because evaporation only depletes the water not the acid were spillage depletes both.If

I havent changed a tire in years . I always carry a tirre plug kit. check out this link http://www.premaproducts.com/PREMA-Kits.50.0.html I use these on everything right up to transport trucks. the mobile guy who sells us our stock has had 250 plugs in the side wall of his front tire (an area normally not recomended to repair ) and they were there to the day the tires wore out. these are the same plugs shown in the kit you see if click on the above link.I have plugged holes up to 1/4" in diameter with these and never had one fail.

I don't seem to be getting any response from silvercrew with regards to his mailing address.I think it is only fair to move to the next person on the list so the DVD doesn't get tied up. So since Marcarl is next on the list I sent him a PM requesting his mailing address.

I watched and it cost me :mo money:I done went and ordered one inc ride the dragon and surviving the mean streets. I think the best tip on this was ( when in a tight spot look at you escape route not at the pending hazard) ALSO: I am still waiting for silvercrew to pm me his mailing address so I can mail ride like a pro to him. I don't want to skip anyone on the list but I can't sit on it forever either . If I dont get it soon I will mail it to marcarl (next on the list)

This was written by a black gentleman in Texas . And is so funny. What a great sense of humor And creativity!!! When I was born, I was BLACK, When I grew up, I was BLACK, When I went in the sun, I stayed BLACK, When I got cold, I was BLACK, When I was scared, I was BLACK, When I was sick, I was BLACK, When I bruise, I'm still BLACK, And when I die, I'll still be BLACK. NOW, You 'white' folks.... When you're born, you're PINK, When you grow-up, you're WHITE, When you go in the sun, you get RED, When you're cold, you turn BLUE, When you're scared, you're YELLOW, When you get sick, you're GREEN, When you bruise, you turn PURPLE, And when you die, you look GRAY. So who y'all callin' COLORED folks?

These are from a book called 'Disorder in the American Courts' and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place. ___________________________________________ ATTORNEY: This myasthenia gravis, does it affect your memory at all? WITNESS: Yes. ATTORNEY: And in what ways does it affect your memory? WITNESS: I forget. ATTORNEY: You forget? Can you give us an example of something you forgot? ___________________________________________ ATTORNEY: Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning? WITNESS: Did you actually pass the bar exam? _________________________ ___________ ATTORNEY: The youngest son, the twenty-year-old, how old is he? WITNESS: He's twenty, much like your IQ. ___________________________________________ ATTORNEY: Were you present when your picture was taken? WITNESS: Are you ****ting me? _________________________________________ ATTORNEY: So the date of conception (of the baby) was August 8th? WITNESS: Yes. ATTORNEY: And what were you doing at that time? WITNESS: getting laid ____________________________________________ ATTORNEY: She had three children, right? WITNESS: Yes. ATTORNEY: How many were boys? WITNESS: None. ATTORNEY: Were there any girls? W ITNESS : Your Honor, I think I need a different attorney. Can I get a new attorney? ____________________________________________ ATTORNEY:How was your 1st marriage terminated? WITNESS : By death. ATTORNEY: And by whose death was it terminated? WITNESS: Take a guess. ____________________________________________ ATTORNEY: Can you describe the individual? WITNESS: He was about medium height and had a beard. ATTORNEY: Was this a male or a female? WITNESS: Unless the Circus was in town I'm going with male. _____________________________________ ATTORNEY: Is your appearance here this morning pursuant to a deposition notice which I sent to your attorney? WITNESS: No, this is how I dress when I go to work. ______________________________________ ATTORNEY: Doctor, how many of your autopsies have you performed on dead people? WITNESS: All of them. The live ones put up too much of a fight. _________________________________________ ATTORNEY: ALL your responses MUST be oral, OK? What school did you go to? WITNESS: Oral. _________________________________________ ATTORNEY: Do you recall the time that you examined the body? WITNESS: The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m. ATTORNEY: And Mr. Denton was dead at the time? WITNESS: If not, he was by the time I finished. ____________________________________________ ATTORNEY: Are you qualified to give a urine sample? WITNESS: Are you qualified to ask that question? ______________________________________ And the best for last: ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse? WITNESS: No. ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure? WITNESS: No. ATTORNEY: Did you check for breathing? WITNESS: No. ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy? WITNESS: No. ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor? WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar. ATTORNEY: I see, but could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless? WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law.

Here is were the trouble lie's . All you people think we have a justice system (this goes for both Canada and the USA) We don't . What we have is a legal system. The difference being that the verdicit and resulting punishment can be influenced by (a) wealth, (b) who you know or © who you are.True Justice does not enter the picture.
