  1. I just opened my invoice for my motorcycle insurance which I received in Fri mail:mad: My insurance has just increased by just over 40% to $962.00 for the year:mad: and I don't even carry collision coverage, this is strictly liability At a time when few people are lucky to even get a 2% wage increase, assuming they still have a job, how do they even justify it:mad: The Company I am currantly with is KINGSWAY GENERAL INSURANCE and you can bet I will be switching.:mad: ANY SUGGESTIONS FROM CANADIAN RIDERS WHO TO CHECK OUT.
  2. Bet you would see it differently if it washed the icecream out of your cone http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/muppet/images/thumb/1/1a/Upsidedowncone.jpg/200px-Upsidedowncone.jpg
  3. Hey Dano I know it's a last minute decision but if possible I would like to get in on the buy sent you a pm
  4. Same goes for my 89. when i 1st put the bike together after my accident I made the mistake of putting the washer between the wheel and caliper support . The result was the disc grinding on the caliper so I spaced the caliper in with 2 washers. Later I realized my mistake so I removed the added washers and then moved the space washer to the outside of the caliper bracket. problem solved. and yes that angle cut on the swing arm is normal. Make sure you have the right spacer washer though the thick end of the axle should not pass throught the washer. Here are some pictures of what it should look like note the space between the swing arm and caliper bracket or washer it does not actually touch the bracket or washer as in the MKI. When tightening, tighten the axle shaft 1st then the swing arm pinch bolt last.
  5. try the cardo scala rider I have a set and they are great. the speakers are not much larger then a quarter but the sound is excellent. plus they velcro right to the inside of any size helmit. Mine are stuck inside a half helmit close to the temple rather than by the ear and it works great. Also very easy to switch from helmit to helmit. As well they will accept up to 3 devices so you can tie it in with your cell phone or go bike to bike as well as rider to passenger since they have a thirty foot range. great when husband and wife/girl friend each have their own bike. I have used it to talk on the cell phone while riding (answer or voice dial only) and those I have spoke to say they cant tell the difference. 19. After seeing that vidio I wish I would have been able to go. I gotta say the way you handle those curves is a little different. Most of us lean the bike in the curves, you seem to prefer to keep the bike upright and tilt the road instead. :rotfl:
  20. You mean to say there is no turbo... All this time I thought that was what it was..
  21. I replaced my Elite II with Avons as well and found the same squirliness and tail wag. I did notice with the Avons the road snakes were not noticable, the ride was smoother. But when the side walls started cracking I had the dealer put Elite II's back on and was oh so glad I did. As far as nimble goes I find my bike is extremely nimble on the Elite II's and I trust it more at high speeds than I did the Avons.
  22. I was off for 15 years myself. When I got back on it was an 89 venture. Can't think of a better way to start again. When I get real old:backinmyday: and need to slow down some, then I guess i'll have to trade it in for a 2nd gen . But right now my 1st gen and me are bonded.
  23. I am afraid I have never been subjected to all these terms and acronyms. I ride my bike like it is an extension of my own body , I do not have a specific time to look as I am looking constantly at all times. I negotiate a turn by dropping speed into the turn and powering through and out of the turn. As mentioned early I seldom lean with the bike,I think because the bike is top heavy to start with a simply lean the bike under me while i myself retain a relative upright posture during a normal turn. having said that I may lean some with the bike depending on how fast i am going through a turn.
  24. i ONLY OPENED IT BECAUSE I THOUGH IT WAS POSTED BY SOMEONE CALLED BUFFY:innocent-emoticon::doh:
