    congratulations to all those who were fortunate enough to have loved ones home from the war zones for christmas and may they all soon return permanently, safely and in good health once and for all.

    I have the Tom Tom rider 2 and am very happy with it. the blue tooth scala rider headset is included and works with all helmet types. It has seen as many, if not more wet days of riding, as it has dry and has stood up vey well. Cell phone function through the blue tooth feature is excellent and conversation quality is even better then the cell phone by itself, even while moving.If the unit sense's road speed it wil allow you to answer calls and make voice activated calls, but not dial out. However if you bring the bike to a stop you can dial out and once the call is established continue on your way. Other functions that may distract the rider are also disabled, when it senses road speed. If used with the car mount which you purchase separately many of the road speed disabled features are allowed. Downside, No built in speaker, they are built in the car mount which you have to purchase separately , and visibility in direct sunlight is not that great. My reason for buying it was that I got a super deal about 1/4 of its normal price because it was a display model and about $600, cheaper than the garmin biker model. Mapping and routing on it however has been excellent and very accurate.

    There appears to be no more country music stations in the toronto plus area of southern ontario. 95.3 just got bought out by the same head banging music supporter that killed the last country music station some 15 years ago. It seems like all you get any more in this area is either head banging crap. so called dance music or asian music. I love country music and I love early rock and roll but nobody seems to want to play it anymore.

    That law has already been implamented here in Ontario. Funny how all it seemed to do was encourage people from talking on the phone to texting. They think they fool everybody too because they hold it down low so they can't be seen. Of course this reguires looking down instead of straight ahead, and its even worse when they have one of those phones with the qwerty key pad because they have both hands off the wheel. Don't get me wrong I am all for the ban of cell phone use while driving but how do you deter those who text, before they kill.

    According to my wife .....way too often.....seems to have this idea I pay more attention to the forum then to her....(not true I always turn around and kiss her good night as she heads off to bed). She also claims I don't do anything around the house anymore. Also not true I take the garbage out every sunday night.

    Sorry Tom !!........But those reindeer have to cross Ontario 1st....And I got all my permits in place so you just may have to settle for slim pickins......or more icecream:big-grin-emoticon:

    It could just be that the idling / fuel mixture is set a little lean. You could try pulling a plug and comparing it to a spark plug colour chart, to get some idea. Personally as long as it is not so lean as to burn valves, I would prefer it this way. If you richen out the mixture just for easier cold starting you may also increase the amount of fuel you use. My bike needs no choke at all to start and that has always bothered me because I feel it is running too rich, but I have procrastinated doing anything about it, prefering to ride it then play with it.

    I wiil just have to start collecting pop bottles again -----Lets see at 2 cents a bottle ---that would be 12/.02= only 600 pop bottles---- I think thats do-able if I start soon enough Hey if you buy enough 12 packs you can collect enough bottles to turn in for the deposit money, and use that to pay the membership, that would be like a free membership

    In the wreck I had, Were a guy suddenly came out of a left hand turn lane and cut me off because he suddenly decided he did not want to turn left there was nothing I could have done different. Believe me I went over it a thousand times in my mind and there was nothing. No escape route nothing. What I learned out of it is every cager bears watching no matter what lane he is in, and to always expect the unexpected

    Just don't forget-- Those replacement lenses light up in the headlights----last thing you need is some redneck mistaking you for a dear the next time he goe's out jack lighting deer. And in your case Tom if you happen to be licking a big rasberry icecream at the time, Somebody's gonna think there just about to bag rudolph.:rotfl:

    How about having it on the side stand as the person gets on only to have it suddenly lean the other way because the ground was higher on the left side of the bike then you thought. As far as using the kick stand to shut off the bike I got out of this habit because all too often I walked away from the bike leaving the key on and coming back to a dead battery. This usually seems to happen in front of a bar were you end up buying a round for the people who came out to push start you.

    I went to the eye doctors today. While sitting and waiting my turn I happen to notice a pamphlet on lasik eye surgery. On the front was a picture of Tiger Woods who according to the write up had it done 15 years ago. Thats when it occured to me that the lasik I surgery may not be so great after all.--- look what happend to tiger ----- ------- HE DEVELOPED A WONDERING EYE:rotfl: :rotfl:
