    I have to agree with Squidly (don't ask why I should ) But I had the markland as well and switched to the kuyakin's also. My old clamps are yours for the asking if you still want them.

    Here in Ontario they go crazy with the stuff sometimes there are more road snake then asphalt. I find them the worst when you get a sudden rain after several hot days.

    Here are few more suggestions. Does it fade out if you exceed 70 mph, if so then tire balance most likely is your suspect. (tire vibration from badly balanced tires tend to gradualy come in at certian road speeds and fade out as you exceed that road speed ) Does the bike feel like it dancing from side to side a bit or bucking. then possibly bad tire. Do you feel it increase slightly as you back off the throttle suddenly and coast down specialy in the lower gears, then driveline possibly bad u joint in the shaft drive. Also check your wheel bearings.

Butttt Next time can you start your tale of whoa with (Nobody got hurt but heres what happened) so I don't have to worry all the way through a long tale just to find out nothing overly serious Happened. Your as bad as Wizard (Wayne) when he kept us in suspense over a base ball injury and let us all think you went down on your scoot.

    Mini If you unplugged everything and its still popping fuse's . Look at he face plates of the outlets and see if any have traces of smoke residue either on the plate or the wall around it. Some times the connection on the outlets are not done secure enough and over time due to ressistance of the bad connection the wire heats up bakeing off the insulation causing a short in the box itself. If that is the case, then I suggest not putting in any more fuses. Best you spend your time shopping for those cherry pie fixin's and wait for Steve to deal with it, the last thing you need is a house fire or to get yourself hurt. One las thing just because one of the main fuses blows does not mean it is restricted to a 220 appliance even a 110 line can blow the main fuse if it is a heavy enough short. just ask any carpenter who has unwittingly cut through a hidden 110 line.

    I too rode in the rain today, I was at Marcarl's when it came down and since Carl refused to put me up for the night, I had to ride the whole way home in the rain, all 45 minutes of it. Of course it quit once I got home so I consoled myself by barbequeing 2 of the fine steaks I got from Marcarl's. An hour after that my wife was home to make me supper so I was able to get over it.

    I just signed on with riders plus for 624 a yr thats 340 dollars cheaper then kingsway for the same coverage. thats close to what I had been paying kingsway until they jacked up the cost to 967

    You are over thinking it, the firefly is a CB antenna, (any cb antenna will do the firefly is just one due to performance and size that is prefered by maney, in my own case I prefered the Wilson version of the firefly both have tunable tips. The am/fm part is taken care of by the multiplex/splitter mounted inside the right side fairng (you do not need to mess with this. ) after installing simple get someone with a swr meter to adjust the tunable tip (in a pinch it is pretty safe to set the tunable tip about mid way) cb and am/fm will now work fine. I took some picks of my setup inc. one wiith and one without the tip down adaptor, I prefer without the adaptor but it is a convenient option if you tarp your bike. Also you will notice in the picture there is an extra wire attached to the bottom of the antenna this is simply a wilson feature for truck mounts or fiberglass mounting were grounding may be an issue just leave it loose as shown in the picture.
