This may cause inaccurate readings, including the speedometer and fuel gauge. Special Coverage Adjustment This special coverage covers the condition described above for a period of 7 years or 70,000 miles (110,000 km), whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership. Dealers are to replace the instrument panel cluster after the condition has been verified. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer. For verified failures between 70,001 miles (110,001 km) and 80,000 miles (130,000 km) on U.S. vehicles, dealers are to provide the customer with an instrument panel cluster (IPC) only. Any additional costs, including labor to replace the instrument panel cluster, will be the responsibility of the customer. Dealers are responsible for the return of the customer's IPC back to the Electronic Service Center. For vehicles covered by Vehicle Service Contracts, all eligible claims with repair orders on or after September 28, 2007 for 2003-2004 model year vehicles, and March 23, 2009 for 2005 model year vehicles, are covered by this special coverage and must be submitted using the labor operation codes provided with this bulletin. Claims with repair orders prior to September 28, 2007 for 2003-2004 model year vehicles, or March 23, 2009 for 2005 model year vehicles, must be submitted to the Service Contract provider.

  12. Not all road gaters are the fault of recaps. As a matter of fact you will be suprised to find that most actually come from 1st time casings that have suffered what is known as tread separation. This is usually the result of a tire that has been run low on air, overloaded, or improperly plugged allowing air to leak between the belting material and the tread. For the most part a quality recap is as sound as an original tire.
  13. I know a lot of people here Have said over and over how Venture does not seem to want to introduce more high tech into their Venture, but I for one do not mind. First I like a bike that I can repair myself. A lot of the high tech ignition and fuel systems require computer software in order to diagnose it, and having been a Mechanic for almost 40 years I have seen the changes, and believe me high tech is not without its headaches and frustration. I see truck drivers spending more time in the shop then ever, most of it due to high tech electrical issues, try tracing a wiring problem in the data link wires, while a driver impaitantly paces the floor because he is loosing time and money. I also like the cassette player ( don't all boo me at once ), but then I also prefer to listen to whats around me rather then have music blaring in my ears when I ride. If a cd player is that important you can always install one designed for boats. They have a weather proof cover and are designed for a rough ride. Just some food for thought:think:
  14. Seeing as how Yama Mama decided to only wish Happy New Year to all the Lady VR Members and snub all the male VR riders Here is a great big HAPPY NEW YEAR to all VR riders :dancefool:

  19. I have an Ibanez electric, a suzuki classical, and a seagull s6. just like Don I prefer my seagull, which just happens to be Canadian built. BTW one trick I have heard of but never tried, is to coat your finger tips with liquid bandage (also called liquid skin) . You can find it in the drug stores.
  20. I rode my canam 250 TnT through 2 snowstorms in 1976. it wasn't half bad until they plowed the road--- thats when the fun began---the slick surface they left behind was a nightmare.
  21. You mean your the one in the white blouse........Who woulda thought
  22. I am in the same bracket. I go strong for awhile and then stuff gets in the way or I get discouraged because my think stubby fingers can't do certian chords. As far as the finger tips go i found it only takes about a week of steady practice to toughen them up to the point were they feel no pain, and as the calouse's devolp the strings become easier to hold down. because they dont sink into your skin so deep. All of this I am the worlds best expert on because I don't think anyone has quit and started over and got no were more than me. P/S before tweaking your own guitar which is easy to do, have an expert show you how 1st, because although most of it is very easy to do it also very easy to screw up, I broke the neck on one guitar following a do it yourself guitar repair book. Now even though I still can not play well I got pretty ggod good at tweaking and making adjustments to them. Key here is if things are way out only make small adjustments over a period of time so things have time to settle into place. NOW IF I COULD JUST PLAY THE D*** THING :bang head::bang head:
  23. Unfortunatly even though upper level employees (VIP's) may know as much as a year in advance as to what is going on. Lower level staff are usually kept in the Dark until the 12th hour. Not that this helps any. I myself believe that once a decision has been made it should by law be honoured by what ever company takes over the policy. Otherwise employer's would just simply keep switch insurance company's or change policy plans when ever they feel like it in an attempt to cut expenses.
  24. Glad your Son is better Tom and that it was nothing more serious then what it was, bad as it may have been. Also, Sorry to disagree with you on this one Marcarl. But I firmly believe there is no excuse for not makeing "May I help you" or "What seems to be the problem" to be the first question out of her mouth.
