devastatation of earthquake in Burlington Ontario
saddlebum replied to saddlebum's topic in Watering Hole
The insurance won't include the beer in the claim due to the fact that there is apparently no proof as to how much was actually in the bottle prior to the quake.:bang head: -

How far a day traveling 2 up with camping gear?
saddlebum replied to 1joeranger's topic in Watering Hole
When I take a vacation ride it's not so much about the miles as it is about what there is to see along the way otherwise you may as well ride with blinders on. Of course its different if you have a specific destination in mind and want to figure out when you will get there. -
Good luck to your daughter hope all goes well with her and her baby

New here and a question
saddlebum replied to willysman's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Congrats on buying the bike. You will find on this site all the help you will need, there is almost always some one here that knows something and collectivly I think it would be safe to say if it can,t be found here it probably hasn't happened. Even if the plastic isn't perfect it is not a write off , as there are products such as plastx that performe great. My own bike was written off in an accident 2 years ago, I bought it back off the insurance companyand 3/4's of the plastic I repaired instead of replaceing and the bike looks better now than before the accident. -
Hey Charlie, that would put you in burlington around noon, and I don't go to work until 3pm so if your planning a short lunch break give my cell a call and I will join you for a cup of coffee. My number is in my profile

Sorry to disagree with you on this one Monty. But wheel bearings should be torqued snug while rotating the wheel to make sure they are properly seated. Then back the nut off 1/2 a turn and readjust until you have between one to five thousands of an inch of bearing lash. Test it by giving the wheel a slight very soft spin and watch as it comes to a stop. If the wheel is too tight it will bounce back a bit when it stops rotating. If it is adjusted properly with just a little play it will come to a smooth stop with no backward bounce.

Get your self a spark tester , not the enclosed one but one that has an adjustable gap from 0"-1" or 1&1/2", they are cheap about $5, this way you can check your spark strength, it should easily jump a 1" gap or compare to a good cylinder. If the spark is strong try another plug, even new plugs can go bad. If it is weak check your wiring for bad grounds dirty or corroded connections faulty primary wires.

You must have finally figured out how to get a full 24 of bear in the trunk or you would not be saying that:group cheers:
