  1. If you are worried about the finish edge of the windshield it is a piece of cake. After cutting the windshield use the replaceble file used on automotive body files. These files have 1/2 moon edges along the file instead of teeth. File the rounded edge using a rocking motion rather than trying to follow the curve with the file. Once you have the curves the way you want them polish up with very fine sandpaper ( I used 600 grit) wrapped around a block. It will come out beautilly.
  2. Best of luck to you hopefully the surgary wont be as bad as it sounds
  3. Definitly looks good. Did you buy it as a parts bike ? if so I already see some stuff I would like to have
  4. Here are the pics of the Mom (my daughter) proud Dad (not my daughter) and my 2nd Grandson. P/S it was also my 1st grandsons 1st birthday 10 days ago today so I thought I would inculde a pic of him as well.
  5. At 5:30 this morning my oldest daughter gave birth to her 1st child. A 5lb 10oz baby boy, my second grandson. sorry no pics yet, but I do remember the rules. :dancefool: :dancefool: :dancefool:
  6. There is a place just just off Main street, Hamilton Ontario that will make windshields for just about anything, clear or tinted. Before my accident in 2007 I had a tinted windshield on mine that they made. after the accident I put the original back on. They used my friends old 1st gen windshield for a pattern (Which they still have). The cost at that time was $140. If you want they can alter the size or shape. They also make them for boats etc. http://www.paplastics.com/ P/S Looks Great
  7. Only one beer fridge?. . . What is your problem ?????
  8. I too am sorry to hear about your mothers condition.
  9. You be careful big guy, these things are nothing to fool with. If the sore is still open it would not hurt to soak it in warm salt water as much as you can.
  10. Sorry I missed your call Rocket had I got it in time I would have rode to the border with you. As it was I was home but in the basement working on an oak railing, the saw probably drowned out the phone. I really should have a phone in my baasement workshop.
  11. No plans as yet, I will probably just wing it and make some sort of spur of the moment decision or work on the house or do nothing. by that I mean go for a ride weather permitting.
  12. Ours had a remote channel changer. My dad would tell one of us to get up and change the channel:178:
  13. The kind of news you never want to hear. I hope they recover completly and quickly.
  14. I remember all of them and S&H green stamps were not just in the US. They were not called green stamps but I remember my Mom filling up speacial books with them and using them for grocery discounts. I also remember a screen overlay that was supposed to make your B&W tv seem like a color tv. Speaking of which the 1st color tv's had a lot of green faces. How about going to the candy store and filling a little brown bag with candy for 3 cents of course it seemed like a big bag when you were 8 yrs old.
  15. We should have a Tech Bulletin section, read only of course. Didn't you say you were bored Don and wanted something more to do, I am sure I heard you say that.
  16. That really was a piece of bad luck. Its amazing how sometimes its the little things that get ya. I hope she recovers quickly without any lasting side effects.
  17. what.....No MOOSE???
  18. There are many engines that run on what appears to be low oil preasure detroit two stroke diesel was one example big as it was it only ran between 5 and 10 psi. at idle and as little as 20 psi at high rpm. This was because they ran low preasure, high volume pumps. I suspect our engines may do the same. At MD I questioned V7Goose about the idiot light, Because mine would on the odd occasion come on under hard accelaration. He told me that the light is an indicator of oil level not preasure.
  19. Sorry to hear you have to go through all this and hope all turns out well in the long run.
  20. That was beautifully said Brad, the only thing that confuses me is what ever happened to that charismatic younger man and how is it that Lonna gave him up for you. Fact is you are both great and wonderful people and it warms my heart to hear how you two still love each other.
