  1. I Agree with all but the Rickards White and you left out Sleemans
  2. Glad to hear she is OK. Hopefully some wisdom came along with the bumps and bruises. Good to hear she wants to climb back on as well. She will likely have some shaky feelings for a while so let her find her own pace.
  3. You probably should turn it offwhen parked. but mine has been seized in the reserve position since I bought the bike in 2006 without any ill effects so I don't think you need to loose any sleep over it if you don't turn it off all the time. I guess one day I will get around to fixing it . . someday. . . maybe.
  4. I have a 14 ft boat with a 25 hp mariner engine on it. The wheel are only 8" and quite often the boat gets packed with extra gear inc. putting a canoe on top. Boat trailers due to the fact that they are constantly in and out of the water tend to be hard on wheel bearings yet I have never had any problems. Because of the smaller overall wheel diameter the wheels spin much faster so make sure you use a good quality water resistant high speed grease. I actually pack mine with a high quality white grease.
  5. Kids say the darndest things
  6. I have one of these in silver http://www.hjchelmets.com/prdc_is33.htm and I really love it. The outer clear sheild is also removable by simple movement of a lever on each side. The helmet itself has great air flow speacially when the outer shield is removed, and is ver comfortable. It also comes in full face and modular.
  7. The plastex kit comes with a block of rubber type substance that when warmed up turns to putty. form it around a good stud then use it as a mold to create a new one using the plastex. I have tried it and it works great

  12. I belive it is 1 second behind the bike to the left or right of you. 2 seconds behind the bike directly in front of you. I also prefer single file through the bends with a 3 second interval. In the bends a bike can go down pretty quick for any number of unforseen reasons and going down while in a turn usually means going side ways as well as forward.
  13. When we decided to agree and join him and Marca at mother tuckers in Burlington I called Marca and made sure she slipped his wallet in his back pocket........I am not sure he leaves it behind by accident and I was not taking any chances ...... the look of dissapointment on his face when he reached back to find it was actually there was priceless:rotfl::rotfl:
  14. for some one who calls himself IHC Truck Guy that sure looks like a western star to me. P/S don't feel bad every manufactureres trucks have gone for a crap due to emissions and electronics. Its just not a real world anymore.

  18. First thing make sure the water level is up in your battery, Your battery will not charge properly if it is very low, nor will it deliver proper performance. If not top it up with distiled or deionized water, avoid tap or well water. Then check for parasitic load loss as described in the previous threads. Finally have the battery load tested. A simple check you can do yourself is connect a voltmeter across the battery with everything turned off. Then turn on your ignition and lights while watching your voltmeter to see how quickly the voltage drops off. It should not drop mutch more then a volt or two initially. If it takes a real nose dive the battery is most likly shot. To be sure, varify it by having it charged up and properly load tested.
  19. I am pretty sure that is what my wife believes see how happy I look.
  20. Don't be too quick to condem the TCI if you have no spark. V7Goose was looking into this one time and apperantly found that in most cases people were replaceing the TCI when all they had to do was replace the spark plug boot on the end of the wire because of the resister in the boot failing. On the other hand I have had the bike run on 3 cylinders from sitting over the winter. Removed the air cleaner soaked the carbs with seafoam while cold and running at high idle then snuffed it with sea foam. After letting it sit for a couple hours fired it up and took it for a good run at high rpms working the throttle from full closed to full open while rideing and soon the bike ran great. P/S make sure you do this somewhere were you don't smokeout your entire neighbour hood. They take a dim view of this.....Don't Ask how I know.

  25. Check out this car combo built by a long time good friend of mine. He has taken hundreds of healys from all over the US and various places in Canada and fully rebuilt them. Not all with a V12 though, this one is his personal car. I believe it is supposed to produce between 80 and 90 HP/cyl http://www.britishv8.org/Other/MartinJansen.htm
