To prevent static discharge while soldering and even just handling electronic cicuit boards. I always wear an antistatic bracelet. Some boards can be ruined by a static spark, something like what you get when you rub feet along a carpet. I also use a wen gun that has interchangable tips for heavy medium and light duty soldering. the heavy one while solder sheet metal while the light duty is great for circuit boards. I also use a butane one due to its portability.

It is very unlikely that the chimney is part of the structure, if it is a frame house. Generally if it is a set in chimney, the house is framed with a cavatie built in to brick up the chimney inside of it after the rough framing is done. As well it usually allows for a one to two inch space between the framing and the chimney. However having said this I have seen the occasional one were the chimney was used as part of the structure but almost always in house's were balloon framing instead of platform framing was used. In any case it is always wise to make sure because a lot depends on just who built the house and why they may have done what they did or if they even really knew what they were doing.

This is true but our wonderful government is slowly eating away at it with cutbacks and less things being covered all the time, putting more burden on our pocket books.

NAKED!!! ..try freezing, the first night I worked without it, the shop doors were wide open and I thought my lower jaw was going to freeze off. Then there was the ride home at 1:00 in the morning on the motorcycle BRRRRRR.

Well the employees got together $1,006.00 to kick off the Movember drive for male cancer awareness. So in front off the entire company staff my 32 year beard came off.

Too my BEARD and MUSTACHE, which I have worn since shortly after my first daughter was born in 1979. None of my five kids have seen me without a beard. My fellow employees of Sheehan's truck centre have registered with the MOVEMBER CAMPAIGN for PROSTATE and MENS CANCERS. As an incentive I have agreed to completely shave my face if donations from work hit $1,000.00. by november 1st.
