So which day will this ride be on? There is the Niagra falls ride on Monday. the Lake Erie ride on Wed. If possible I would like to get in on all three.

Is anyone else getting strange quick links in the posts they read . The first time I noticed one was in Marcarls post re: the niagra falls ride from the international. I have come across it in three other posts. It will usuallly appear as keyword highlighted with double under lines. You think it is a link to something to do with the post but when you click on it you get advertising. In Marcarls post it took me to an ad for womans clothing. Once you close the post and come back to it, it is gone. The word the link was attached to is still there but no longer highlighted or underlined. -

Check the rubber caps that plug the carb syncing tubes. As they age they crack. A couple of mine had the closed ends all but fall off. Also check you diaphrams and sliders. I had one come completly apart ( the metal thimble that the diaphram sits on came clean out of the barrel). Both resulted in similar conditions you described. -
I have been giving it some thought myself, now that I have three Grand Children plus the fact that my dog Jake has to stay home a lot in the summer, where as normally when driving the truck, he usually goes everywhere with me, providing he does not have to sit and wait in a hot vehicle. The trouble is I would want a second bike for this and my wife would not a give into this easily. I have driven a hack before (a friend of mine having owned a Russian bike with side car) and it is a different ride sensation.

So. . . . Your the reason I sit up all night.

It has only been I believe the last three years that we have been asked to pay a membership fee. Prior to that, It was FREE with Don basically supporting it it out of his own pocket, minus occasional donations. As far as I am concerned wether he now makes money of it or not matters not to me. At the very least I hope he does get enough so the site is at least self supporting. If he does make a bit out of it, so what, for all he has put into it all these years he deserves it. No one is forcing your hand, either you feel its worth $12 to you or you don't, your decision. For myself I have gotten more out my $12 spent annually to be a supportting member here, then for any dollar I have spent anywhere else. Information, education assistance and real friendship is all here to be had for those who want it. Try getting this much out of a simple magazine subscrption costing a whole lot more filled with 50 % of worthless advertising and probably generating bigger profits. Sorry Buddy but you are crying up the wrong tree in my book. P/S if you honestly believe it is that lucrative then maybe you should start your own site and bask in the millions you will be earning. Nuff Said. Hey Yammer got room in that cornor for a fellow big mouth? can I bring my teddy bear?

That is fantastic you two. In this day and age that is an accomplishment. Mopeds hide must be as tough as leather to with stand forty years of assorted whips. My hat goes off to both of you.

Wow how did I miss this thread. Happy Anniversary you two. Hope you had a great one.

Since your leaving from the international any way. Consider planning your trip through Vermont and Maine. I prefer that route even when coming from Ontario verses going through Quebec.

Tried to get the day off but was denied

Generally speaking CB radio signal tends to radiate across the longest section of the body mass. in other words if you imagine your vehicale as a rectangular box and mount the cb antenna on the right rear cornor of the rectangle your signal will radiate furthest in the direction of the left front cornor which is ideal for conversing with oncoming traffic. Mount it on the left rear and your CB will radiate furthest towards the right front ideal for conversing with the cows in the field ahead, But wait they don't have CB's. This is why Transport trucks usually transmit better towards the rear than to the front because there is more body mass behind the antennas then too the front off them and by using twin sticks there radiation pattern is in a long oval pattern in straight line with the truck rather than a cicular patern. Therefore ideally the CB antenna should be on the right rear of the bike but make sure the cable for the the CB antenna is also routed to the right rear. Quite often the music radio cable and the CB cable are connected to the wrong antenna by the stealer

I don't no about all areas but so far most of the guys I have ridden with use 29. Also if you are stay on the one channel primarly then yes it is a good idea to tune your SWR to that channel. However if you are all over the board then tune to the middle channel of the spectrum and recheck it at each end so that channel 1 and channel 40 are about the same.

Is the noise there with the engine both running and shut off or only with the engine running? If only with the engine running does it increase with increased throttle / RPM. If it only occurs with the later try adding a noise filter to the power supply lines of the radio system.
