  1. I have used it quite often and have poured it into the carbs directly. I run the the engine at 1000 rpm while pouring it into the carbs then let the engine idle while sill pouring and flood out the engine. I fire the engine up again, after letting it soak for about 20 to 30 minutes I then rev the engine a few times then close everything up and take it for a good run. I have had no issues what so ever with fouling plugs. As a matter of fact the only side effect I ever had was the huffing and puffing. not the bike.... ME from trying to out run my neighbours who are totaly ticked for all the smoke this process tends to create until it clears TIP: do this when the neighbours are fewer in number or better yet no were around.
  2. Redoing a seat mail order fashion as Rick does can't be the easiest thing to do either. Its difficult enough doing a trial and error thing for one self or with the owner of the seat being right there.. We all have different requirements based on our size, shape, weight and height, yet Rick seems to satisfy the majority of his customers. A prime example I bought one of his reworked seats some years back from another member, who was most likly shorter then me. I found myself sitting too far forward. When I uncovered the seat I found Rick had added a build up peice to the back side of the drivers seat, I removed this and drapped it over the nose of the saddle leaving the actual lower seat portion Rick reworked allone. Now I sit back a little further and the build up on the front portion keeps me from sliding forward. Most importantly the portion were I plant my butt that Rick reworked is extremely comfortable were with the stock saddle I would get a sore tail bone. Sadly the cover of this seat finally gave up the battle with UV and age, and once again I have had to replace the seat.

  5. You helped him forget . . or you helped him remmeber ....or can't you pemember which After seeing Carl put you in a PINK shirt I can hardly say as I blame him But at least you got to go. My boss ( who rides a Vulcan ) said there were too many people off, so I could not go. Guess were he spent the day. Parts guy ( who rides a star classic ) called in sick wanna bet were he spent the day.
  6. Had to pick up an 18 wheeler in welland last night, and on the way decided to stop and p/u a drink at Cassablanca. As I parked I spied a second gen venture complete with rider. I decided to introduce myself and we had a chat (No not as long as one of Carls) but we spoke just the same. I asked him if he was a member or even heard of us. Turns out he did but could not seem to find our site. So I gave him our website and then a little bit about us (not too much I did not want to scare him off). We had a few chuckles (seems like the sort that would fit right in). I let him know how we look out for each other. For eg: how us 1st Genners carry tow ropes to make sure the 2nd Genners can keep up during group rides. (He kind of laughed at that one, I think he thought I was joking.) Any way I get the feeling we will soon have another member.
  7. Buddieee----Bin there -- Done That --- got the t-shirt ----AND BOY DID I FEEL YOUR ANXIETY AS I READ THROUGH IT. The trouble is it is so much easier to let your attention side track, then it is to maintain it and the worst part is a split second of inattention can undo hours of total awarness, scary aint it. Really glad you came through unscathed. That will be one of the HAPPIEST Birthdays you will have in a long time. BTY Happy Birthday

  15. :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: The downside of having lawyers in our sociaty. They made it so a person is scared to breath, in case he gets sued. To bad more effort wasn.t put towards reprimanding real crimanals.

  17. Ah Yes the skunk game ......Know it all too well. My Airedale gets into that mess at least twice a year and sometimes more. Don't know why he persists, but it seems the more often he gets sprayed, the more determined he is to get even.......Lucky me:bang head: This is the solution I use, and it works extremely well. 1 Qt 3% hydrogen peroxide 1/4 cup baking soda 1 tsp. liquid soap (sunlight or polmolive seem to work best) Mix it just before you use it Don,t store any mixed solution, in a sealed container. 1- Wet down the dog with a hose. 2- Mix the ingredients together in a container. 3- Slowly pour the mixture over the dog while rubbing it into the fur. 4- After the dog has been bathed in this solution rinse it down with the hose, and the dog will be odor free. Double the amounts shown above, for a large dog (60 LBS and up),but if you have a small to medium size animal, the recipe listed should do just fine.
