I resealed that but it was still getting in . However I just recently noticed a hairline crack in the r/s corner of the lid so its time to get the plastifix out (it looks and functions just like plastex) I picked it up at the airport in Brantford. I am hoping it is the same but won't know until I try it. It looks and smells the same has the same applicators (actually slightly better). All in all I am pretty convinced it is the same stuff under a slightly altered name and I can get locally.

Now Carl shame on you.......At your age you should know better than to leave your stuff lying around were the young ones can get their little curious hands on it.

Glad to hear Hope is so successful in he chosen field. It is sad to hear however that she needs a hip replacement at such an early age. Hope all goes well for her and give her my blessings.

Nice to see you back Charlie. As for you new comers its probably a little confusing because it concerns an old issue that only a certain few are aware of and I believe Charlie has made his comment in such a fashion as to connect with those who are aware of the issue without involving/dragging other additional people into it. I myself do not know the exact details nor do I care to. I just remember there was a chain of events that went bad and emotions ran high. Hopefully we can all put whatever it was behind us and once again get back to the order of fun, motorcycles and FRIENDSHIP. Once again good to see you back Charlie

This may well be true but like her mother she also listens well giving the other person a chance to talk as well She is a younger version of her mother not her father ----any more questions All In all she did a very fine job and both Mom and Pop should be proud

Sorry you feel that way Carl. These days WTF or any of its equivalent are very important ingredients for just about everything from top notch advertising to top of the charts hit music. Without it we would still have to resort to old mundane tactics such as talent and imagination. Were would we be then? OH by the way I almost forgot. :witch_brew: :witch_brew: :witch_brew:

I am inclined to agree.I don't like that everything seems to have to be slid, floated or faded around. Simply just being able to click stuff off and on like before was just fine.It might be OK if it was used with a touch screen but I like positive touch and click type systems.

So when this Ural thing was 1st posted it tweaked my interest speacialy after watching some of the u-tube clips. After watching this I decided some how I gotta have one. Trouble is there is a small matter of money standing in the way. Hint my birthday is coming up

Thanks Mike I'll check it out, Hopefully it won't turn the grey matter between my ears into more mush than it already is.

Don't you mean previous life -
I called Dell tech support at 2 am this morning and spend about 2 hours online and on the phone with them and I think I'm even more confused now than before. I tried to remember how to do some of the things that he showed me and just got stuck deeper in. He even put a website for Windows on my favorites tab, that was supposed to help me understand window 8 better but now I did something that won:t let me find that back. I lost it and can't figure out how to get back to the favorites tab.

Ok so as the title states I swallowed a big pill and bought a new Dell laptop. The laptop is great but I sure wish It came with windows XP. Instead it came with windows eight and is driving me crazy This new windows program seems to have a mind of its own. Seems to do what it wants to do not what I want it to do and it is full of mysteries. For example When I clicked on the picture file I expected it to just show me some of the so called example pics. But some how it had a set of pics loaded in from when I went flying in a stearman biplane a few years ago. How in the heck did it do that I certainly did not load them on. I have only had this thing for two days and none but me has even touched it I think I am being spyied on:backinmyday:

Quick diaphragm question
saddlebum replied to luke000's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
The JBM also does not use the nylon washers that the stock one uses. You basically have three choices. 1) My Personal preference. You cut/split the washers off then slip off the original diaphragm saving it but sacrificing the washers. Then carefully slip the JBM over the small metal lip onto the slider. Do not over stretch it. 2) Not my favourite choice but you can carefully remove the metal sleeve from the slider than replace it with either crazy glue or green Loctite. 3) Just run it with OEM diaphragm also not my favourite choice as I would prefer to have the diaphragms uniform because the JBM is a bit stiffer but works well. -
Yah and what about your PULLUPS

dessicant replacement in canada
saddlebum replied to Black wing's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Some truck shops or truck parts suppliers for transport trucks may still have replacement desiccant cartridges for the old Bendix AD-2 air dryer used to remove moisture from the truck air brake systems. Open up one of these cartridges and you should have enough to do a few dozen of our little air dryers. -
What are you laughing at REDGREEN is a handymans must .....A visual BIBLE Of how to fix or patch just about anything. Some segments even teach you how to build things you may not otherwise be able to afford to buy. Now some of you Americans, are worried about not being able to buy AMMO. Well once you watch REDGREEN You will realize matters could be much worse WE COULD RUN OUT OF DUCT TAPE

My Day Training with "Ride Like a Pro" Jerry Palladino
saddlebum replied to Barrycuda's topic in Watering Hole
Its like I tell my apprentices at work. The day they realize how much they don't know rather than how much they think they know, is the day they just got a whole lot smarter. Taking the course would be the best option all around. But not everyone is so fortunate. Next best thing is find a parking lot that is completely empty and practice, practice, practice. I have been riding for almost 50 years and I still do this just so that everything remains second nature rather than always having to think about what I am doing, (sometimes you just don't get time to think). So even if you were fortunate enough to take the course it is still good to practice. All our big rig chrome comes wrapped in HUGE sheets of HD bubble wrap. Want me to mail you some -
Number one.is a seat you can sit in all day long. Everything else Is just secondary

I have always preferred my tom tom GPS to my Garmin one. The only thing is the Garmin is more visible in bright sun light. Route planning and accuracy as well as directions have always been better on my tom tom.
