  1. I fully understand what you are going through as it was only a few years ago that I had to go through the same vwith my father. My sympathy to you and your familly and may your father pass peacefully when the time comes.
  2. All I get is sound no picture, just a white screen.
  3. What I have used on many occasions like this, is to find a torx bit just a bit bigger than the hex hole in the bolt. Take it to the grinder and just touch up the end so that the corners on it are sharp. Next assemble the bit, the bit holder and an extension together and then pound it into the top of the allen head bolt until it has cut its way in as far as it can go. The pounding will also help jar the bolt loose.
  4. Just got home from work when I saw this post, so I am just a bit late in saying this, but. Happy Birthday NAugh-T.
  5. I actually see no reason why it would not work with the double banjo set up. Some may be concerned that pressure may not apply equally, but the pressure in a closed system is actually self equalizing. Just make sure both calipers are the same.
  6. Skydoc17 sells a kit that does the job nicely. It includes four lines a splitter and every thing else you need to del ink the brakes find him on our vender list
  7. A very beautiful job. It is sad however that there will be those who see at as monument that glorifies war rather than a monument that glorifies those who fought to stop or end a war.
  8. I have built many trailers including boat trailers for boats as large as 18', and have been thinking for some time now to build myself a canoe trailer . Looking at the picture I would prefer the axle further back. I have visions of that much overhang catching a side wind and taking control of the bike. I have had too much sticking out of the back of a short car trailer when hauling a load of dry wall or lumber causing the the whole works to sway. Also with that much overhang you always have keep in mind that there will be much tail sweep when going around corners. When I get around to building mine, the axle wil be much further back than the one in the picture. If I load gear in the canoe I will make sure most of the weight will be at the back over were I place the axle.
  9. Caught this a little late but just an after thought check your caps that go on the tubes used for the sync tool to connect to. The rubber tends to develop small almost unnoticeable cracks that leak. Small pieces of vacuum hose plugged with a small ball bearing make a good substitute ( make sure the ball is big enough that it can't get sucked into the tube) Other option is a solid bucking rivet ( these are the solid rivets you flatten one end by hammering).
  10. My personal reason for delinking my brakes is because I have had a couple incidents were due to loose sand on an asphalt road, I could not stop without locking up the front wheel despite using only the foot pedal no matter how light I applied them, and the wheel would slide out side ways forcing me release the brakes and to gun it through the intersection. I guess maybe this is one isolated case were ABS may have been OK although I am inclined to think that the ABS would have just released the brake same as I was forced to and I would still be forced to gun through the intersection hoping no cars came the other way.
  11. I agree. On every vehicle I owned I have always disabled my ABS and Traction control. Traction control on rear wheel drive vehicles really sucks. If you want to punch the throttle to swing the back end so you can pull it out of a front wheel skid, It cant be done because of the way traction control cuts your engine and applies brakes to the free spinning wheel. With regards to ABS I have lost count of the number of times a customer got in a rear ender and complained had it not been for ABS they would have stopped in time. It is all geared to accommodate those who do not know how to drive or handle an emergency situation. With regards to ABS on MC's I can't really comment as I have never driven one with ABS but I suspect I would still prefer to have full control over my brakes as I see fit.
  12. I am in bed between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM. then up at 10:00 AM.
  13. Instead of using bolts to secure the extension piece. Why not make sure it slides in and out about 6-8" freely without being sloppy and use a couple lynch or clevis pins instead. This way you could compact it quickly and easily for storage.
  14. That does put things a little more in perspective, but still overall, its is a high cost for ridding.
  15. I have to agree. I believe the major 2 reasons for high costs in Canada is A) Canada does not have the population numbers that the US has, resulting in costs being shared/divided among a smaller number of people. B) Canadians as a whole do not tend to speak out enough as a group against politicians simple using excuses to fatten their paychecks without having to work for it. Prime example is the newly formed Colleges of trades of Ontario, that has taken trades licensing over from the Government in Ontario. Their first step is to increase our trade fees. Instead of paying for our licenses once every three years they are going to charge us the same amount every year. They claim it is to allow the trade to be self regulating the way Doctors and Lawyers are and to improve the trade public image B***S***...The fact is its just another bunch of lazy parasites trying to pull a wage off of the backs of those who actually work for a living. Nor will it do anything to improve the wages of trades people, definitely not matching the doctors or lawyers they use as an example. But you cannot get enough people together in Ontario to put a stop to this cash grab.
