  1. Also Faucher (I think that's how you spell it) I also thought I saw some at princess Auto. At one time I had some in my tool box junk drawer at work. If you haven't found any by the time I get back from my trip the end of next week drop me a PM and I will check to see if I still have any. You could also check Lee Valley and Some other hardware stores. early kitchen cupboard doors used to use a ball and matting spring clip to hold the door closed
  2. I know the fifth wheels at Milton and Grimsby carry a big selection. I am not sure how much the one at Dorchester carry's but it should and I believe it is a bit closer to Turkey point
  3. Drop in on any of the major truck stops like the fifth wheel or Husky. Most have a big selection of CB antennas and hardware.
  4. May you should stop selling those gremlin bells and but as many as you can fit on the Harley......yoooosse gonna need all the help yooossse can get :confused24: just sayin:confused24:
  5. Actually all the bashing is just in good fun just like 1st gens versus 2nd gens. Ok maybe a little retaliation due to the fact that so many Harley owners look down their nose at those who own anything but a Harley. I can't even count the number of times I have been told how nice my bike looks followed with {{ but I own a Harley}}. I have to admit though that this attitude has been changing and I have met many Harley owners in recent years that do not have the Harley attitude of years gone by.
  6. Does this mean that next years MD would mean no ventures would get worked on because .... All the Kings Men Would be Busy Putting The Harley Back Together Again
  7. If we had a harley tech section our membership fees would skyrocket do to all the additional space Don would have to purchase for the web site
  8. Hey the Newby catches on fast :backinmyday:and you two have been around how long Don and Reiny:confused24::rotfl:
  9. I think you may be right about the coil. It is not uncommon for a coil that is on its way out to start breaking down at high RPM
  10. There is no master carb you sink the front and rear carbs on the left side to each other, using the screw on the left side. Next you sink the right front and rear carbs to each other using the rear screw on the right side, and finally you sink the left pair to the right pair using the front screw on the right side.
  11. Bobby at your age there should be no new lessons to learn by now you must have made every mistake known to man kind
  12. This is the route that Trader and I will most likely be taking, stopping over night at the campground in Benton Harbour. My plan is to stay clear of major areas. This is not the final plan as there may be some refinements https://maps.google.ca/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=2309+Fassel+Ave,+Burlington,+ON&daddr=Benton+Harbor,+MI,+USA+to:I-39+S+to:Galena,+IL,+United+States&geocode=FcJilQId-EM--ynJz6As3WEriDH8YcBmDHhHEA%3BFWKmggIdU9DY-inXXt2rbsYQiDGQCNha1-xyAQ%3BFYk7dwIdrg-x-g%3BFSI6hwIdpymc-imx3cevo8_ihzFQ1tvZFKkTpA&aq=0&oq=peru&sll=42.359385,-85.116515&sspn=7.208214,14.545898&vpsrc=0&hl=en&mra=ls&ie=UTF8&t=m&z=6&layer=c&ei=YwzoUfH_N4bOwQH28oD4AQ&pw=2 After opening link. 13. I believe the Canadian law is - If there is a visible minority person who can do the job then no Canadian can work.
  14. I am in.
  15. In Ontario I do not know what the regs are in these situations. I searched the highway traffic act and found nothng. Spoke to members of local bike clubs, no clear answer was offered. I cross 2 sets of lights every day on my way home which do not respond. When I drive my truck the opposite light goes yellow as soon as I am within 10 feet of the intersection within 20 seconds my light is green. So using this criteria I stop wait 25 seconds and if the way is clear I go. I was stopped once and the officer asked me if I was aware that I went through a red light. I told him I was and that I do so most every night and explained why. After awhile we just chatted for a bit about how he always thought about getting a motorcycle and then parted company.
  16. Not a clue but I am sure it can be figured out. Worst case scenerio I will have to leave it with someone until I do. Enough Canadians have made crossborder purchases that I am sure someone has the answer.
  17. Way to go Reiny. My favourite colour too. see you soon
  18. PayPal sent for down payment on MY trailer (balance owing $0.00 ):dancefool:yes Trader you are right trailer is coming North. (to Burlington ON that is).
  19. Ok here is one I don't see mentioned. I have re-decked a lot of transport trailers over the years and here is a suggestion. Go to a transport trailer shop or supplier and ask for decking for a flatbed. shop around because it comes in varies types of wood. it is usually 2x6 or 2x7 shiplap lumber. generally 1 1/2" thick. being shiplap you get almost a 3/4 inch overlap at the edges which will prevent road crap from coming up through the boards. Cut the boards to fit then before installing them treat all surfaces with wood preservative including the end cuts. If the metal on your trailer is at least 1/4" think you don't need carriage bolts just use the self tapping flooring screws used on transport trailers. It will last a lifetime and be strong. And if you are concerned about weight distribution, consider that lift trucks / tow motors run up and down on these flat decks all the time. Just make sure it is the solid boards and not the laminated butcher block style. The butcher block style although it would look nicer, is only good for inside dry van trailers.
