  1. Glad you and Robin are OK and the bike suffered minimal injury. Strange though I do not remember Laying the bike over as part of the route I showed you and Carl.
  2. I better get out to the garage and check my bike. If all those gremlins stayed at your place then maybe my gas leak stopped and I won't have to rebuild my carbs.
  3. Apparently there is a guy that does nice custom seats up on the mountain in Hamilton. I'll get the info from my neighbor.
  4. "PUFF" The Magic Dragon
  5. Since when does the government show Responsibility
  6. I have devoloped the habit when in the truck or on the bike If I pull up along side someone texting or using their cell I honk my horn and wave the NO NO finger at them. 9 times out of ten they put it down.
  7. Hey Peggy nice to hear from (pay no mind to that Carl guy he is just getting ornery in his old age) Its a shame there is no MD this year. I always look forward to seeing the pair you.
  8. All I can say is the Canadian boys did there bit quickly and efficiently -----Whats the hold up with you American boys -- We even got them across the border for you -
  9. Wow I am sorry to hear that Annie. I hope everything heals up quickly for you. Here is a hug just to help you feel a little better.
  10. a young mechanic I worked with some years back, bought a boat at the boat show. They were cruising and drinking (or was that drinking and cruising ) anyway, on lake simcoe, when suddenly the engine quit out in the middle of the lake. No matter what they tried they could not get it to fire back up. Even pulled the plugs thinking they got fouled. In the end they paddled for about 2 hours to a marina. The Marine mechanic had it fired up in minutes. It seems some one bumped into the emergency kill switch. :bang head:
  11. My 89 has always been the same way. trouble is it runs so good and smooth, with lots of get up and go. When I pull the plugs they are as clean as the day I put them in and so other than doing a carb balance I just preferred to leave well enough alone. The one down side is when on a group ride I seem to use about a $1.00 US more fuel than everybody else per tank fill.
  12. I picked up the 1.2K and the 2.2K one worked the other did not I just can't remember which one worked. but no harm resulted in trying one and than the other. I am actually going to take it one step further. instead of wiring directly to the battery I plan to run it through a micro switch. The microswitch will be set up so the battery light is on whenever I leave my choke on, going out when I move my choke into the normal run position. I have a tendency to forget when i have the choke on.
  13. I buy a few cans every time it goes on sale. I now have so much seafoam I need to start buying some extra gas to go with it.:rotfl:
  14. Looks Good Carl. For some reason the pic with you standing beside it made me think of My Uncle Martian. P/S Was going to come out your way on the bike today but my couple of little chores turned into fiascoes.
  15. Ok because your new we will give you a small grace period but the rule is PIC's PIC'S PIC'S.
  16. The riding part I can do ------The Talks-A-lot will depend on wether or not I can get a word in edge-wise What about Scala Rider. http://www.cardosystems.com/scala-rider
  17. Ok, I have been busy with work and training so I have had not much time to think about this but, there is only one appropriate name for it now. --Carl's FREE steak BBQ -- --grill it and we will come--
  18. Hey Carl If you want a small compact CB for that I might be able to help you out with that. Sometimes when guys trade their trucks in they want a new CB to go with their new truck so they just leave the old one behind and most times they are cobra's. and sometimes neat little compact ones. Say the word and I will keep an eye out for one. By the way Congrats on the new ride. After our last discussion I pretty much got the idea it would be sooner rather than later, can't wait to see it.
  19. Ok Hugger and I have been texting and will be meeting up at Duff's Cornor,s to do another hand off.
  20. Too bad Canadian insurance is such a rip off or I would be suggesting keeping the venture for those times when you are riding solo JMHO.
  21. Hey Don't be using Marca as an excuse. The truth is Karl's memory has been fading. Lets face it how many times lately have you parked the bike with the kick stand up and rode it with the kick stand down. You bought this thing to eliminate the kick stand.
  22. Maybe you can buy a snow plow attachment for the front and a plow box for the rear. You will be all set for doing side walks this winter. But one thing I do gotta know when you road tested one did you check out how well it could do U_TURNS. :rotfl:
  23. I was considering a singing career .....But after that I now feel somewhat intimidated. Talk about an incredible voice for a seven year old.
  24. Oh Bad news Dingy the pipes went on:dancefool:....I mean missing:bang head:
