  1. WOW puc ...are you feeling OK? that post wasn't even a whole line. Hey maybe that's the issue its when the site is trying to load one of those ten page posts that the rest of us are getting 404 msg.
  2. I have tried the Venoms on my 1st gen and ended up with a really bad tail wag at about 60 mph and I was not the only one from what I understand. I did notice excellent wet weather handling and really smooth ride however, at least up until I hit 60 mph. It was only a month after I bought them that I started noticing side wall cracking, took them back to the dealer and he swapped them out no questions asked even gave me the E3's at my request. Once the E'3 were on the bike the wag went away.
  3. I agree with you on the rain part but it does improve after a time. Like I said the EIII's (at least as far as I have noticed) seem to take a little more time to scrub in then what you would like. With regards to V7Goose. He is very inquisitive when it comes to these bikes (maybe other things as well) and tends to dissect with keen interest much of what goes on with the bikes, always looking for answers. So do look into his threads and not just about tires.
  4. The only thing I miss, is that before before, your friends list would show up on the left side in column form and indicate those on your friends list that were on line, by moving them to the top of the list. Overall I am getting used to it. And glad that I can get the blue back. Red was just a little to harsh, on the eyes especially, were as blue is just soooo much more relaxing. One thing I am noticing though is that when you hit submit after posting or editing a reply it seems to take so much longer to come back to the page you were posting in. On the odd occasion I watched the whirly thing go round so long to the point were the page times out and displays an error and other times its as quick as a wink.
  5. Of course not. If the water continued to go all around the Island .......that would mean the island was in the middle of a whirlpool and therefore would have been sucked down into the oceans drain at the bottom a long time ago. .....Boy some people
  6. Hi Tim; That does seem a little premature but a lot would depend on the type of riding you do and the climate temperatures of the area your riding in. The warmer the weather is the softer and more prone the tires are to wearing. Having said that here is a little food for thought when you are buying tires based on the miles you get out of them, keeping in mind the hardness of the rubber is a big factor in tire life but can also be a trade off for traction and road grip. I will give you an example My bike had Dunlap EII tires on it and the traction was great. I am not sure what the millage was when they where installed but according to the person I bought the bike from they were relatively new. Based on that I suspect I got about 8,000 miles on them. When I replaced them I again replaced them with EII tires. Ironically I got 25,000 miles out of them and when I replaced them they still had plenty of tread. So why did I replace them? The reason was I was getting horrible traction that continued to get worse. One year coming home from the New York rally I slide over half a lane while going around a ramp on a dry road and I started noticing my back end slipping out more and more. I suspect the rubber compound had been changed to a harder compound than my 1st EII's and got even harder with age. I now run EIII's. and the balance between tire wear and traction seem to be quite acceptable. As a matter of fact I can lean the bike over under normal paved road conditions and scrape foot pegs without loosing traction (not that I make a habit of it).
  7. See what happens when you venture out of your corner. Bobby .....Your a VR member....... How could you possibly believe you are well adjusted.
  8. Do the following Edit post Go Advanced scroll down until you see Manage Attachments and click on it A new page will open , Click on Add Files in the top right corner Click on Browes find your picture and either double click on it or click once and then click on open click on upload It should appear in the lower panel then just click insert. If it does not upload it is probably because the picture is too large. In that case reopen the original picture with a picture program that allows you to resize it such as photo gallery or Microsoft office picture manager. re size it down to about 60-70 %. Then retry the above procedure again this time selecting the resized picture.
  9. just checked today and it says the site is suspended.
  10. Sorry to hear about your friend Kevin.
  11. There is never anyone there when ever I enter either. At first I figured there was one of them convex mirrors outside the door so when they saw me coming they took off. But now I know the real reason ........Its because you went hunting......They all ran for cover.. .
  12. My wife also got a new pup. A little Shytzu she named Rosie. BTW the misspelling of the word Shytzu was deliberate because if I put an i in place of the y the word got censored and came up as ****tzu. Does this mean the mods are slowly being replaced by technology.
  13. If anyone remembers, Apparently my e-mail got hacked and I ended up posting that know one open this particular link if they got any email from me. It was a link connected to a legitimate e-mail coming me. When you clicked on what you thought was a legitimate link your address book got hacked and everyone in it got the same email coming from a person they knew. My daughter, Brother and some of my friends thinking it was from me and also legitimate also clicked on the link which escalated the situation. . I have since, with Microsoft's help got my email fixed and had to reset a new password. so far everything has been good.
  14. Sounds like something my sister in law grumbles at me every time I make a comment about her while she is still within ear shot (really need to learn how to delay may comments a little longer )
  15. Once again I would like to host a Meet and Eat here in Burlington Ontario, making this the 4th annual meet and eat. As in previous years this is the weekend of the NORTH AMERICAN MOTORCYCLE SUPER SHOW, which is a three day event here in Toronto Ontario SUPERSHOW - North America's Largest Motorcycle Show . The place I have in mind will again be at TUCKERS MARKET PLACE in Burlington Ontario. Burlington | Tuckers Marketplace Restaurant . Which is about 25 minutes from the motorcycle show. Please check the events calender and RSVP http://www.venturerider.org/forum/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=434&day=2015-1-3&c=1 as soon as possible so that I can a get head count (including any guests you may bring with you) and so that I may make the appropriate reservations. As usual I will add a few extra seats. In the past we have had between 25 and 30 members attend, and a great time was had by all. I would love to see a similar or bigger size group again to kick off the year of 2015 Oh and Swifty there is a fair sized field behind the Restaurant in case you plan on Para Flying in.

Puc ....I have absolutely no idea what you would do without a computer.........There is no way .....no how that anyone could talk a line (cept maybe Marcarl) even halfway close in length to the ones you manage to post....without running out of breath 1st ........But I gotta admit I look forward to em.........Just watch out for that carpal tunnel fiend,

  22. Do you happen to have a specific BBQ sauce recipe you care to share that is best suited for this type quizine?:stirthepot:
  23. 235 to 205 is approx a 13% decrease in tire size and would throw your speedometer out by that much, increase fuel consumption by that much. If it is a 4 wheel drive all tires need to be the same size and construction type and preferably the same brand. Mainly the tires individual revolutions per mile should be same if you are forced to mix brands but should at least be the same per axle. In the case of 2 wheel drive they only need to be the same per axle but still the same construction type. Tall narrow tires are better in snow than low or wide tires. and pay attention to the load rating stated on the tire to ensure it is sufficient for the vehicale. Is it legal? that may depend on individual states/provinces. Here in Ontario it not illegal.
  24. Granted this is just a way out there wild guess. But I have feeling Toms first post when he gets back in from shoveling will be . YAHOO :dancefool: I SO LOVE SNOW :dancefool: :dancefool:ITS SO MUCH FUN :dancefool:
