Brake cleaner is not the best thing to spray in the carb for cleaning purposes. For some reason despite all that it will clean, carbon and oxidation are not one of them and those are your major dirt issue's in a carb. A good carb or heat riser cleaner is your best bet. spray it in all the orfices you can find while the engine is cool, let it soak for 15 minutes and then spray again followed by firing up your engine. Pulling the rubber caps off, may or may not change your idle speed depending on the condition and settings of your carbs. A good carb sync also makes a big difference. Also make sure your enrichment valves (commonly referred to as the choke) are not seized and move freely. If they stick open and do not seat properly your carb will suck in more fuel.

Too me it looks like a car. A 3 wheeled car, which is not really a new concept (history is full of of them) I remember seeing a few of them like the 1959 MESSERSCHMITT 1959 Messerschmitt KR-200 or the Isetta, 1959 BMW Isetta 300 3-wheel special when I was a kid. Google 3 wheeled cars and click on images and there is a whole slew of them. https://images.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search;_ylt=A0LEVjDgs5lUZjEAy1wPxQt.?p=3+wheeled+cars&fr=&fr2=piv-web&hspart=mozilla&hsimp=yhs-001

It all sounds good to me specially the 50's, 60's and 70's music . So hard to get that anywhere anymore. Even our Christmas party at work played all that thumping music and believe it or not....not a single Christmas song. Where was I oh yeah it all sounds good to me Tom. Last year you tossed in a bit variety and it seemed like their was something for everybody from those who wanted short to long rides to those who just wanted to hang around play games and swap lies....er I mean tell tales..... sorry share stories ....that,s it share stories stories. Oh and Tom this one is for you :canada:seeing as how you loves us canucks oh so much EH!

All kidding aside Don I like many others think you do a great job. It would not be the first time that either a thread or even a face to face conversation have taken a wrong or miss stepped turn, got out of hand and severed even some of the best and longstanding friendships. No debate is worth that.

New member with an electrical problem

Sounds to me like you blew the main fuse by having too much running at the same time time. Alternatively if you have had a poor or dirty battery connection either at the battery itself or at one of the connectors or ground connections you may have overloaded that connection which could have acted similar to the way a fuse works, overheated and possible melted the terminal. Also check out this thread for a good example http://www.venturerider.org/forum/computer-lights-horns-other-electrical/32359-ignition-switch-wiring-failure.html- 10 replies

Personally Don ...I think it really sucks. This has to be at least the third time ( at least that I am aware of) that you have deleted a post before I even got to see what all the fuss was about. Seems I always miss out on all the fun ones.

Pretty simple really I always loved the outdoors and ridding horses and motorcycles were among my favorite outdoor activities along with camping and canoeing of course. When email first came out and it was pretty well standard practice to use something other than your own name in your email address, people who knew me suggested that saddlebum would be the perfect handle for me, specially since a saddle could be found on both horses and motorcycles. Well it just seemed the perfect site name for me as well. -
My plan was to set reservations for 6:00 pm but the earliest I could get was 6:30 PM. I try to take into account that not everyone lives right around the corner but also that some will either be at the bike show or have to work and need a bit of time to get there. Also please don't forget to go to the calender and RSVP so that I can get a reasonable head count. I have booked for 20 but I can revise that number if I need to.

Good prices but I would recommend upgrading to the ETX20L (310 CCA) Deka Battery shown. Its an extra 40 CCA over the YTX20L_BS plus its a sealed maintenance free battery. Well worth the extra $22.00. Either way the prices shown are good prices.

Deka AGM battery hands down. part number for a 99 RSV is ETX20L (310 CCA) replaces the stock Yuasa battery YTX20L-BS (270 CCA) http://www.eastpennmanufacturing.com/wp-content/uploads/Deka-Sports-Power-AGM-Flyer-0278.pdf Mine is going on its third year and still running strong
