  1. I have often thought of a hack myself, so my 4 legged friend Jake (who Is no longer with us) could go with me when I ride.
  2. Guess again I had to loan them an extra blanket......What's that say about your theory now.
  3. 1st time I have ever heard newly weds say they need a heater for the bed .
  4. I CAN HELP WITH THAT ---Got stuff that needs a new home. just give me the cubic feet of space you need to fill so I know how big a truck to borrow rent or steal.
  5. Here in Ontario its drivers who use the 2 or more passenger commuter lane just because they can and then drive slower than the rest of the traffic flow or less than the speed limit holding back everyone who try to use the lane legitimately.
  6. Oddly enough I was actually very quiet.......fact was this guy was so talkative that trying to get a word in edgewise was even worse than trying to out talk you two. Was almost like both of you all rolled up in one, all I could do was sit and listen:icon_lurker:
  7. Are you nuts and Jonas thinks I need Psychiatric help just because I happen to like his Black Death.
  8. You just gave me a real scary thought. By the time customs assessed the value of the two legged Relic (sorry Relic) the duty cost would be so astronomically High I'm not sure even my wife would have paid it.
  9. Id say you hit a pot hole and and the side car linkage bounced up and hit what looks like a shock. As for myself, I too had a fantastic time with my favorite bunch of friends (and that includes newly made friends). MJ, my wife loved the picture of you giving me a ride in your side car. She made some comment about roll reversal and chuckled. Larry Thanks for letting MC Tom and me take your sling shot for a joy ride. Even as I was leaving to go home Tom and I looked at each other and started laughing again like two school kids playing hooky and getting into trouble (probably a good thing we actually never did go to school together). My only Regret is that there were far too many people that I did not get to spend more time with. It seems like you have all the time in the world to spread yourself around and then before you know it, it's over and your saying good bye to everyone inc some you did not even get around to talking too. Hopefully many of those will be there again next year so I can make up for it and WNY people don't even think about not doing this again next year as that would be a major criminal offense. I also need to thank The count (Steve and Michelle) for bailing me out when my air mattress blew and the replacement I bought was defective and would not hold air, by loaning me a spare mattress they had. Craig and Kim thank you for the loan of your shower. Sure beats standing in front of a sink full of cold water. Big Tom, Robin, Pioneer Sports and everyone else involved in making this annual event (yes I said annual and it better remain so) happen, thanks for all your hard work and another successful and fantastic event. As I tell anyone who asks, If I can only make it to one VR event WNY will be at the top of the list. It was a bit scary When while packing up everyone started yelling at me to get my butt over to the walkway ASAP and be told Kristjan got rear ended. Thankfully it was very minor as far MC accidents go and I was able to leave for home knowing that he was OK. Jonas as always good to see you and Kristjan again ( and I am considering your advice about getting psychiatric help ) But is it really that strange that someone actually likes BLACK DEATH As for myself I made it home safe and sound despite a minor setback http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?108698-Home-from-WNY-But-not-without-incident and I can't finish this sentence without giving thanks to Marcarl (Carl) who in his usually caring fashion got permission from customs to come back through and see if he could help get me up and rolling again. Until next we meet everyone Ride safe and stay healthy
  10. At least I got over the hump and rolled forward into Canada. It could have quit 50 yards sooner and I would be rolling backwards back into the USA. Super Glad I had CAA/AAA with MC coverage included. Sure got my moneys worth out of it this time.
  11. Gotta tell you Kristjan.... I am in the middle of packing all my gear getting ready to leave a great weekend behind me, when people are shouting and waving at me and yelling at me to drop everything and get my butt up to the walking path, to be told you just got rear ended. Not the sort of thing you want to hear. specially after such a wonderful weekend. I was so glad when I saw you before I left looking none the worse for wear . Hopefully there will be no after effects and that you will be in great shape before long.
  12. Can,t afford it Not sure what the issue is yet. I just got her home and left her sit with the Battery charger on her. I'll give her a quick look over in the morning and see whats what. faulty wiring or reg/rec hopefully. Got lots of wire and a new reg/rec from the group buy a few years ago. A stator I don't have plus its more work (which I don't need right now due to my daughters up and coming wedding).
  13. Just as I crested the top of the peace bridge my bike quit and I coasted down the other side to just short of customs. Unloaded all my gear in the parking lot, pulled the seat and tank cover, then dug everything out of my left saddle bag to get to my tools which was under a partial bottle of JD. Decisions decisions. Finally decided to choose the tool bag over the bottle. may not have been the wisest choice but there you go. Soon Carl came walking back (customs said it was OK. Anyway after a few quick checks we knew it was not going to go as the battery was flat. we suspect possible charging issue. Called CAA and had it trailer d home. While waiting for the tow truck one of the customs officers came out suggested it was too hot to sit there and would I like a hand pushing it through and into some shade. In the mean time he would expedite me through so that by the time the tow truck came I would be ready to go. What a supper nice guy. The CAA guy came out with an actull closed in motorcycle trailer which had motorcycle recovery unit splashed right across the trailer, and he actually knew what he was doing.
  14. I am heading out now myself plan on meeting up with Carl for dinner at Green acres family restaurant about 5:30. Hey tooch depending on what time you leave Casablance you might be able to catch us at the restaurant.
  15. Don i think you mean Casablanca off the Qew Niagra bound
  16. Don't say nothin Evan .... .....Tooch may be retired but he may have turned CI to pickup some extra cash to help pay for the new bike and gear But you can tell me:whistling: We'll talk later
  17. Don't say nothin Evan .........Tooch may be retired but he may have turned CI to pickup some extra cash to help pay for the new bike and gear
  18. So far based on what has been tossed in the ring, WV would be my 1st choice with Maggie valley NC a very close second choice. And yes I would attend either one (Inc Viroqua WI) making it my 5th Rally attended. We will just have to wait and see if @Marcarl will actually attend .....Right @eusa1
  19. Things are looking up . Guess I was a good boy:innocent:. I could even be leaving as early as Thur afternoon but no later than Fri am. Got fingers crossed.
  20. For myself I cannot pin down exactly when I will be going down as my daughhter is getting married sept 5th and tthat dear thoughtful wife of mine just went into overtime in thoughts and qaudrupiled my honey dew list and so I am feverishly working away at it. Hopefully I will get enough done so she will say " HONEY YOU WORKED HARD SO GO AND HAVE SOME FUN , YOU EARNED IT". So far I think I am doing good. most likly if am still able to go it will be sometime between fri morn and fri afternoon.
  21. I kind of looked at the 1st picture before I read the written part and thought you got a grandpa on camera during rutting season. Hopefully recovery time will be short. Also best they learn to gain better control over their sneekers before venturing out again. Was anyone charged under the PTA (pathway traffic act)
  22. Like what sampling the food to make sure every last bite is up to quality standards. Bet you thought you were going to get through this thread without a dig from your favorite Canadian EH! Toooo Bad.
  23. Glad things did not end up worse than they did. I myself had a close call Fri night. Was approaching the intersection at walkers and Harvester facing a green light was just considering picking up the pace a bit so I would not get caught by a Yellow light when a small silver car blew through the light at an extremely high rate of speed. Had I been 5 seconds faster he would broad sided me and drove me 1/4 mile down the road. Interestingly on Sunday while stopped at a red light waiting to turn left doesn't the same same car fly up from behind me and without even slowing down for the red light whips around the corner in a left hand turn and fly's down the road. I am sure its the same car for the simple reason that its highly unlikely that you would see two identical little grey cars with identical aftermarket roof racks .
  24. Don There already is one for tools - Mechanical assistance was just an addition to the list of check boxes that were already there. If you go into settings at the top right of the page edit profile and then scroll to the bottom you will see the list of check boxes.
