  1. Ditto to that. I actually had one casher call over another casher to figure out how much change to give me when the bil was $3 and 13 cents ------I gave her fiver and 13 cents
  2. Must be getting old. apparently what you used to play with in your pocket has gone too far down out of reach.
  3. Yes Bob Friendship is important and that is why I am more than Happy to wish you another Happy Birthday.
  4. I did download and run ccleaner prior to making the change. I also ran defrag prior to making the change.
  5. Just discovered I also have NO SOUND
  6. So I finally switched to windows 10. I mostly folowed silvert's directions as best as my limited know how allowed me to during the change. I went to custom settings and switched of pretty much everything. So now that I am up and running I am finding my Computer is slow often freezing up or stalling. I keep getting warning flag's flashing up and google search engine does not seem to work at all in internet explorer, it just freezes up my laptop. I have a Dell Inspiron 7520 with the intel i7-3632QM@220GHz processor (whatever that all means) 8.0 GB of RAM and 700 GB of hard drive space of which I have only used 128 GB . So I am thinking with my limited knowledge all should work well. NOT. :backinmyday:At this point I am thinking I much preferred the windows 8.1, running the shell program Wizard765 installed for me. Problem is as much as I was hesitant to switch over I have been told by more than one IT guy that eventually I would have to any way as support for windows 7,8 and 8.1 would drop off. Sometimes I thnk of the old addage ---- You would never miss the taste of icecream had you never tasted it in the 1st place.-------and how it also applies to the computer age. Though I do have to admit good things like Venture rider and other benefits would not be possible with out it but why keep making it more complicated instead of stupid simple for us average Joes or even dumber Saddlebums.:bang head:
  7. Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience and bad as it was I am glad to hear it was not even worse. Take care, heal well and may God be with you.
  8. Try to come out to some of the meet and greets and you will find it only gets better.
  9. So you make a little kayak trailer to tow behind the bike. that way you can enjoy both together.
  10. Don I bought my Ricks Stator through Amazon.ca and the supplier was LION PARTS I payed $128.44 plus $29.40 shipping for a total of $157.84 for it and though the estimated delivery time was 6 weeks it was on my doorstep in under 6 days also for all the gasket is worth I would replace it and avoid any "Iwish I hada Syndroms" try this link through amazon.ca. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/search/ref=sr_gnr_fkmr0?rh=i:aps,k:21-412H&keywords=21-412H&ie=UTF8&qid=1469545699&tag=vglnk-ca-c1030-20 OR http://ricksmotorsportelectrics.com/results Also if memory serves my correct MKII 1st gen and 2nd gen use the same stator just the connector is different. I may have one on my parts bike that you could try if that is the case.
  11. Despite a few minor personal set backs this was a great rally and would love to do it again next year. Don, Carl, Nancy and Marca did a great job in putting this together and I totaly enjoyed it. Key here too was that campers and motelers were right close to each other so that we had one big group gathering at night instead of two or three separate ones due to camp sites and motels being in different locations.
  12. As you know Dave I we just got back from the Maritimes, Primarly Nova Scotia. We had good weather so I hope you do as well. bring lots of bug spray the black flies were nasty. I hope you enjoy a wonderful safe trip and though I just got back I am still envious and wish I was going again because I had to cage it would love to bike it. Maybe next year.
  13. Hey Abdul, sorry to hear you wont be there.
  14. I initially recognized the schematics themselves from when Dingy 1st posted them and that's when I looked closer and saw his name on them.
  15. Some body forgot to mention the boots on her feet. They look kinda heavy ......Just Say'n:confused24:
  16. Like anything else there is always one apple that risks tainting the barrel but I agree most do their job and well.
  17. Very Nice Site. Look at the top left corners of the electrical diagrams. Note the name, they are the same drawings done up by our very own Dingy, some years back.
  18. My entire life, I have loved riding horses and motorcycles. So you could say I loved spending time in the saddle one way or the other. Also like the drifters in the old cowboy movies (still my favorite shows), I have hard time sitting still, always needing to be on the move or doing something. When email 1st started and we used nicknames instead of our real names, for so called security reasons, I chose the nickname "Saddlebum". After a while some of my friends started calling me Saddlebum and so it stuck. It just seemed Natural to choose it as a site name especially since now that I have made so many friends on this site, I spend more time than ever in the saddle, riding to visit or meet those friends and even less time at home.
  19. Now I feel discriminated against. When they use acronyms like LGBTQ instead of speaking plain English they are saying I am an uneducated Bum,
  20. Thats How its supposed to work ....After that the wife just say's "from now on don't do the Laundry just let me do it".
  21. ....Also I was drilling a bar of tool steel and ran out of Kool Tool. Grabbing a can of WD 40 thinking it was beter than nothing I was amazed to discover it actually worked better than the Kool Tool (not having to stop and sharpen the drill bit near as often). I have been using it for cutting oil ever since, when ever drilling steel. I also spray my Hack saw blades whether a hand hacksaw or a reciprocating saw with WD40 when cutting steel. Amazing how it saves the teeth on your blades and speeds up cutting.
  22. What are you going to do when the stands and dolly leg sink into the ground, Just say'n
  23. I do not know exactly what the correct Ball drop is , but I am pretty sure .......If you secure the Ball properly .......You shouldn't have to worry about dropping it On a more serious note I tend to prefer that the trailer sits just a bit higher at the rear when loaded but no less than level. i found from past experience, that with the front higher than the rear air flow under the trailer would have a tendency to cause the trailer to float were a higher back end would act like a spoiler and help hold the trailer down and more stable at highway speed (but not to much slope)
  24. If they allow you to buy the bike back keep two things in mind. 1 make sure it does not get branded. This usually pretty much means you cannot put the bike back on the road and 2 remember they original told me $1300.00 to buy mine back a month later it dropped to $220.00.
  25. Sure glad you were not hurt Evan. I am assuming you were by your self which is also probably a good thing. Not sure what your damages are but I have a 88 parts bike if you do decide to fix her up. post some pics of the bike nothing in the way of body parts but frame and front end parts may be of some use. If you decide to buy it back from the insurance company and fix it that is.
