Glad to hear your still around and kicking Ponch. I hope despite all that is not so nice that you still have a very Merry Christmas and happy new year. And just so you know you may not be arround but you surely are not forgotten your name always comes up now and again specially at some of the Rallies.

Crossing the border is easy as long as you don't have a record or been in trouble with the law (that goes for both ways) get your pass port in order and when the time comes be civil with the border patrol and answer there questions honestly and with respect and you should have no issues. Before coming over its best to check and see what you are and are not allowed to cross the border with. This can eliminate embarrassing situations. @bongobobny crosses here all the time so if you have questions he is your man.

I gotta ask ...How is your tail bone? I know from experience that its a popular place to land in those slip type falls. And I learned that nerve injury down there can effect te nervous system all the way up to the skull. See a good physio therapist it would probably be worth your while. Having said that I am sorry to hear that you fell in the first. and hope for your sake there are no serious injures. BTW there are better ways of breaking up the ICE.

That is a real shame, My bike was damaged worse than that in 2007 they gave me just over $6K for it, they had no book value on it so they went by the asking price of a few bikes that were posted in sales ad's. I then I bought it back for $220.00 and restored it. Once I was done, It looked better after the accident than before.

Burlington Ontario 6th annual M&E Jan 7th. Not a rally but a good way to meet some of the members. INFO: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=480&day=2017-1-7&c=1

Hopefully after having to bail out of the last two years to go fix my Daughters house in Nova Scotia I am going to make this one. I really missed not being there as I have always enjoyed the past years MD gatherings.

Don't let it get to you. When I sold my pickup I advertised it for $3000.00 as is and I got calls offering as low as $200.00 providing it passed a safety inspection and included the cap. I think some either just throw in a wild card to see what they can get or they just think its a big joke to try and belittle the object for sale. The latter usually brag about their antics over a dozen beers with their buddy's like they just pulled off an original prank and try to get a big laugh out of it. Ultimately you do get calls by serous buyers with more than 2 cents between their ears and before you know it with tears in your eyes your saying goodbye to an old friend.

There is also the Marks Crossover/collector. Somewhere on this site is a link, may be worth looking into.

The news I like the least to hear is when someone wipes out. I am so sorry this time Heather it was you. On the other hand I am glad your injury's given yo were on the interstate was not worse than they are. Make sure whoever you get to operate on your wrist is very good at his job. my brother had a similar injury and after suffering with an improperly repaired wrist for over a year he fianlly had it rebroken and properly set by a much better surgeon and was pretty much back to normal in no time.

Once again on January 7th 2017 , I am putting together a Meet and Eat here in Burlington Ontario, making this the 6th annual meet and eat. As in previous years this is the weekend of the NORTH AMERICAN MOTORCYCLE SUPER SHOW, which is a three day event here in Toronto Ontario SUPERSHOW - North America's Largest Motorcycle Show . The place I have in mind will again be at TUCKERS MARKET PLACE in Burlington Ontario. Burlington | Tuckers Marketplace Restaurant . Which is about 25 minutes from the motorcycle show. Reservations somewhere between 6:00 & 6:30 PM. I try to take into account that not everyone lives right around the corner but also that some will either be at the bike show or have to work and need a bit of time to get there. Also please don't forget to go to the calendar and RSVP so that I can get a reasonable head count. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/ca...0&day=2017-1-7

The place I have in mind will again be at TUCKERS MARKET PLACE in Burlington Ontario. Burlington | Tuckers Marketplace Restaurant . Which is about 25 minutes from the motorcycle show. In the past we have had between 25 and 30 members attend, and a great time was had by all. I would love to see a similar or bigger size group again to kick off the year of 2017. For you American members the exchange rate on the dollar makes it one of the best times for you to come up and enjoy some Canadian hospitality. Spend the day at the motorcycle show then come to Tuckers, for a great all you can eat Buffet dinner with friends and fellow VR riders. So make sure your passports are currant and come on up. My plan is to set reservations somewhere between 6:00 & 6:30 PM. I try to take into account that not everyone lives right around the corner but also that some will either be at the bike show or have to work and need a bit of time to get there. That includes counting those without a head on their shoulders as well

I am pretty sure most of the windows problems are windows 10 related cause I didn't have any until windows 10. and yeh I get the extended grey screen too right after an update which jumps in right in the middle of doing stuff. scares the pants off me when it happens right in the middle of me doing on line banking, I now go back to old school banking because I don't trust computers anymore. Recently I completed an important qualifications exam needed for work and the credit went to someone else. Imagine if that was a bank transaction

Unfortunatly on this continent with the way legal systems here work we are always forced to pay for someone elses ignorance both before and after the fact. No such thing here as being responsible for ones own actions or stupidity.
