As long as you @Yama Mama bring the poles and @Yammer Dan brings the stakes you might be able to work out an arrangement. Now if I can just find an air mattress that doesn't go flat overnight. ....so far I'm 3 for 3

Yeh that has always been a sore spot with many Canucks. Problem is as long as there is a middle class there will be out of control government spending, and much of it for foolish whims. But once the middle class is gone/tapped out, who is going to support the country.

Just this week I was was going through a green light. there was a transport on my left nosed out, legally awaiting to make a left turn and a bus and a van going through the green light ahead of me when a car from the other direction shoots a left turn between me and the van ahead of me. I was forced to slam on the brakes and I swear there was barely room for a cigarette paper between us. Thankfully I was in my pickup truck but all I could think had I been on my MC the outcome would have been a whole lot nastier.

Pond monster shore's inn is still my top choice. You get a massive discount if you bring your own bedding. It makes for a big savings too. Don't believe me do the math. $0.00 minus 100% discount = $0.00 ha even a Dutchman cant turn his nose up at that deal. Ummmm there may be a surcharge if you use Dons kitchen chairs to substitute for missing/forgotten tent poles.....Just sayi'n

The 1st Gen is my favorite. Was almost going to buy a newer bike a couple years back but wife said only if I got rid of the 1st Gen. You know,,,, she one sneaky lady!!!! she knew I could not part with my 1st gen no matter how many bikes I bought. But yes I do believe they are the best all round bike out there and not too crazy for most joes to do their own work or find someone who can show them how.

Battery is toast
saddlebum replied to ReinyRooster's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Still worth the money. Picked up mine from ACME battery in Hamilton for $89.00 CA compared to $120.00 US and it is going into its 5th year and still going strong. -
Lets face it In Canada Crime is legalized in some areas such as insurance, 407 toll fees and taxes, Don't try to make an honest living just to survive because if you are your probably breaking some bogus law designed to protect the legalized criminals from the middle class criminals. OOPS I now see what you taking about Don

Very impressive. And if you weren't chewing your finger nails before .......I bet you'll start now.

With the age of some of those explosives I would not want to be in the same state if something unstable in his collection should go off

Not sure if this was mentioned but a very important consideration is that with that much weight and overhang behind the axle you run a big risk of the trailer whipping out of control from side to side. Having experienced this and being extremely fortunate to regain control after whipping back and forth across two lanes I can tell you first hand you never want to get caught in that situation because the odds of regaining control like I was lucky enough to do are extremely unlikely. Someone was definitely looking over my shoulder that day.

My buddies solution is to eat them. His mother would parboil the hind quarters then they would either roast or BBQ them. Never tried it myself but he insists done right they are good eatin. Oh dont grab them by hand, did that once got the bugger and tossed him in a cage but also got saliva in the eye (apperantly worse than a bite if it is rabid) and got a nice round of rabies shots. Apparently I am good for ten years now but when I asked for a tag like my dog gets they threatend me with more needles. FYI they dont give it to you in the stomach any more. I'll tell you I was re-leaved when I got to the hospital and found that out instead it is by body weight and they spread out by giving you so many in each shoulder and each hip. and you only have to go back six times instead of fourteen, in the stomach. over the years I have got lots of raccoons, skunks and opossums. Once got a skunk that I fed hard boiled eggs to for about four days before I had time to relocate him. by the third day I could feed him out of my hand. When I carried him into a wooded forest in the cage I had no issue and passing hikers were amazed. However when they wanted a closer look I would not allow it on chance that my little friend got scared and sprayed all of us.

But can he shoot from inside a tent with no poles

Things we should of never done growing up
saddlebum replied to Doug royal86's topic in Watering Hole
combining all the lists so far posted is there anything that anyone of our generation did not do. i'm bettin that todays kids only did a fraction of that and most of it on virtual reality instead of real life. Like I told a gu at work one day when he wondered why at my age I could climb the way I do even at the age of 64 and my answer was cuss I grew up climbing real objects not virtual ones. I sit at work listening to the young guys going on about winning fights only to find out they were virtual fights on laptops and I pads. Boy whats the next generation going to be like. I am convinced that star treks society of collective cyborgs are only a generation or two around the corner. SCARY:yikes: -

Boy do I remember all of those. I think they were standard don't do/must do items in the litlle boys hand book. ALSO - Climbing to the top of pine trees as far as possible. then whipping back and forth until you could let go and catapult to the next tree. Slid down the trunk once and when Dad put the old iodine soaked sponge to the raw inside of your legs you better not dare flinch or cry, or he would give something to cry about. KIds today can barely handle a small scratch. - using the protruding bricks on the school wall to get the ball off the roof, even if there was no ball up there. teacher would tell parents Dad was secretly proud Mom mad telling Dad to punish you for it. - stealing fruit from the neighbors tree. Not our fault, everyone knows stolen fruit taste better then store bought. - school yard fights. none of this cowardly cyber bulling. Teaches gave detentions. Parents did not sue, Dad just told you in front of Mom you should not be fighting then took you out back out of sight of Mom and gave fighting tips and pointers. You went back to school the next day beat the guy that beat you the day before and you became friends after that. -
Obviously the guy who who wrote this is poking fun at some of the antigun lobbyists. If you read closely the article is full of satire. However I do remember as a Kid BB guns were readily available to any kid that wanted one and yes at times they were a danger in the wrong stupid hands. Things like cars being shot at, though not lethal in itself, a BB in the head through an open car window has caused accidents. But like anything, everything in the wrong hands is dangerous. I think the biggest danger of a BB gun is not to others but to the person carrying it due to today's gun related crime levels and there realistic look could put them in danger from some over zealous law officials.
