  1. Yeah a local guy here changes and balances for $15 if you take him the wheel. Always thought he had a tire changer but seen him working on one one day and he had it down on the floor and taking it apart with tire tools. He does have a balancer though. Just look around I bet you can find somebody. BOO
  2. That would be one time that having concealed carry might be a problem. Funny video though. BOO
  3. I definately agree with that! BOO
  4. I hardly carry any of that stuff. Fuses but just the ones that came with the bike. Rain suit is a must. Concealed Carry The rest is all clothing and personal items. These bikes are real reliable. BOO
  5. Congrats Dan and Warden. I was married in 1967, can't count that far. Don't know why she put up with me. And Oh Yeah it seems like yesterday. BOO
  6. Dan, you are one lucky dude. Glad to hear you are getting back to work. BOO
  7. I don't know where you guys find all them nails? Black Owl use to find a lot of them also. I think I have had one nail in 50 years of riding and the tire didn't go flat with that one. BOO
  8. How did you pass the eye test at the DMV ? BOO
  9. I'm in. Oh wait my battery is dead but if you wait until the store opens I'm in. BOO
  10. and the skin was off my right big toe from shifting gears. Right Toe? BOO
  11. I use sea foam every once in a while but I have to admit I don't think it does much either. If I have a big issue with the carbs about the only way to fix it is take it apart and clean the jets by hand. I believe that is the first time I heard anything about sea foam increasing the octane. BOO
  12. I ain't never done nuthing like tat. BOO
  13. I think you guys need a relay for your relays. There must be a support group somewhere. BOO
  14. I think that's pretty good and probably about average. You could probably get a little more if you were so inclined but it don't sound bad. As far as the Sea Foam, I usually treat pretty heavy also I don't think it really hurts anything. BOO
  15. The 1986 I had was the black/copper or whatever it is called and I bought it used. All the stuff came with it. A Celebrity in Chicago owned it and had bought a lot of the Yamaha stuff. I have a sales brochure for the 1986 model if you would like to have it. Just PM your address and I will get it off to you at no charge. The picture on it shows the Maroon two tone and that may have been the only brochure they had, I really don't know. I use to have a brochure that showed all the accessories for that model year but I don't have a clue where it is. I really liked the First Gens as they are called and probably put close to 250,000 miles on the three I owned but I am really in love with the 01 RSV I have now. Fits my riding style and it a great bike. My mileage is getting less as I get older but I've put about 50,000 or so on this bike in the last 5 years. Have fun, BOO
  16. Just curious, did you get the tire gauge also? And do you have a "Sales Brochure" for the 1986 model year? How about a cover? That could make it almost complete. BOO
  17. I like it, nice saying. Maybe even true!:banana: BOO
  18. I agree. I've noticed that the ones with the loudest pipes actually wear ear plugs so they don't have to listen to it I guess. BOO
  19. Yeah the jets are all different I think, at least there are three different sizes and they vary quite a bit in size. Like Freebird said they are probably the stock jets if it's running good. BOO
  20. I've seen them things in that position before! BOO
  21. A lot of good replies and some pretty funny ones also. I have fought animals through the years and you kind of got two choices, one is to give them lead poisoning and the other is to trap them and take them to the next county. Actually I have combined both into one, trap and kill. I have several stories about getting rid of these things but someone suggested letting momma have the little ones and then letting them move out. I had a raccoon in the attic that I allowed to do that but no one moved out, they all just picked out a spot and stayed. Trapped 6 before it was over and had to have the old insulation removed and replaced with new. You have to get rid of them, they never give up....... BOO
  22. Just email Freebird and let him know and if by magic it will appear. BOO
  23. Interesting Site. Great Pictures. BOO
  24. That's great!!!!!!!!! :happy65: You guys done good.:happy65: BOO
  25. I would definitely set the float levels while you have the carbs off. Seems like most are off when delivered from the factory. I certainly wouldn't trust the dealer to have set the floats. You have parts missing, wonder who left them off? I don't remember where I took the measurement from when setting the floats but I did use V7goose's write up with no problems. If you have questions about the measurement you should either PM Goose or call him, I'm sure he can tell you. Good Luck, BOO
