  1. The guy I ride with most of the time just bought a Honda Silverwing last summer and he really likes it. Fast too. He's 82 this coming March and his hips don't like the riding style of a regular motorcycle anymore. The scooters allow you to sit with your legs closer together. Extending his riding days. So far we have not taken any long trips together so don't know how that would go yet. He just didn't like the idea of a trike or hack. Whatever it takes, BOO
  2. We do not have dogs anymore but have had several. The best dog we had was a Bassett hound. Very nice dog. BUT we took her to training school and then had to attend ourselves for a while. I think what made her a good dog was the training. She could be left alone in the house for hours on end and not bother anything. She did like to sleep on the couch though. Lived to be around 15 years old. They just need training----- otherwise they will train you the way they want you to be. Good looking dog. BOO
  3. Looks like he might have landed on the handlebars butt first. OUCH! BOO
  4. Sounds familar. Been there a few times. Trouble is I don't learn I just keep doing it. Boo
  5. At least you were not on your bike. It could have been much worse. Glad everyone is okay. BOO
  6. That is never a bad investment when you can double your money. BOO
  7. Not very often will I put it in the trunk because there is usually no room. If I am stopping for gas or going to pee then it hangs on the right mirror. When I go in to eat and cannot see the bike I will lock it on the lock. I never take it inside with me. Like mentioned above it really depends on the neighborhood. At the Indianapolis Motor Speedway one time I had it locked on the back and when I got back to the bike the helmet was gone, I still had about two inches of strap though. What really ticked me off was it was pouring down rain and I had no helmet. BOO
  8. Here you go.
  9. Sorry I can't make it. Found this picture the other day. The ugly one on the left if me. BOO
  10. Could it be the way the coolant flows through the cylinders? BOO
  11. Great pictures and very nice trip. BOO
  12. Great find and it looks great too!!! BOO
  13. Like he said I quit a million times. Last one stuck. 1980. Tough road for sure. I started chewing gum which is another nasty habit in my opinion. Chewed so much I had sores in my mouth. I was a carpenter most of my life so when I quit smoking I started carrying my carpenter pencil around in my mouth and of course chewed on them but that's what it took for me. Good Luck, BOO
  14. I have two friends that have decided to quit riding recently and one 81 year old that should stop but he will probably die in the saddle. Good for you on knowing when to quit. Good Luck, BOO
  15. d Man I don't know what you got going on there. You should be able to plug into the jack in the cassette player and set the controler on AUX and you should be good to go. Does the rest of your radio work okay? BOO
  16. It's actually the "Audio" button that changes the radio from AM to FM to Cassette to AUX. Far left button. BOO
  17. Just a couple of thoughts. You could be so far off with the length of the antenna that it would give you that kind of reading. I'm not sure what the length of the stinger part of the antenna is suppose to be. You could just use some with scrap wire to cut down or add to the length to try and find the proper length. If I understand the readings you took, the mechanical part of the antenna is good. I'm not sure buying another antenna is going to correct your problem. Just a side note here the "electrical" length of a CB antenna is somewhere around 108 inches. Good Luck Boo
  18. Also appears to be a "girls" bike. BOO

    Road Rage

I don't even care who is right or wrong, that is Damn funny. BOO
  20. There was a company making a cable deal that would allow the top to hang at the side of the bag. Don't remember who it was though and don't remember if it has ever been talked about on this forum but I bet it has. Someone will pop in with the information. BOO
  21. Brian, I recently changed out 4 of those in my mud flap. I don't know if I threw them away or stuck them on a shelf somewhere but you can have them for postage if I can locate them. I replaced them because they were faded but not damaged. They are the mini ones. BOO
  22. That is absolutely the first Dunlop tire I have ever heard of doing that. When was the last time you checked the air pressure? I hope you will post pictures here also, BOO
  23. Don't forget your friends "Mr" Stardbog:rasberry: BOO
  24. Punta Gorda certainly didn't get "wiped off the face of the earth" but it did take a pretty good hit from "Charley". I would guess about a third of the homes in this community were damaged or destroyed. It was kind of strange, two homes across the street from my brother's was blown into the next county but my brother had very little damage. The community did get a very nice new clubhouse out of the deal. Seems like anywhere you live there are issues of some kind. Anyway it's an option, BOO
