  1. Wish I was there, would have loved to have seen Willie. Just saw Charley Pride a couple of weeks ago. Love that era of music. BOO
  2. I don't think anything from Yamaha fits the HD lights. I bought visors from HD store but they have no identifying marking on them, just plain chrome. Be careful they have some visors that fit lights with the screws on the top and bottom, while the other ones attach with screws on the left and right sides. BOO
  3. Very interesting, I had no idea. Doesn't sound like a big issue but I agree every little thing you do is a help. Thanks for the link. BOO
  4. You can email or PM Sarges46 here on the forum and he has one I picked up for him about hmmmm can't remember if it was last year or the year before but he got his for what I believe was a good price. It came with everything but the kitchen sink, lets see I think it had a dish pan. Anyway seems like a great unit. He had it down to Arkansas and I meant to go take a look at it again but didn't get around to it. I did set it up in my garage and it looked like quite the deal. Not my kind of deal but quite a deal. If you would like to see some pictures of it I will see if I can find them and post them here. BOO
  5. You need to find an old antenna and cut the end off. Usually it will be to big of a diameter so you would need to grind/sand down the cut end so it will fit into the hole. If you live close to a Ham Radio store or a Radio shack I think you can find something that will work. Can't remember the length you need for the stinger but I believe it is 18 and 1/4 inches or was it 16 1/4? Someone could go measure theirs and you should make it a little longer so you can tune it. BOO
  6. Like Don (freebird) I drink a lot of coffee, probably to much but that is the first I've heard it causes high cholesterol, my Doc does say I drink to much of it but he wants me to quit because I drink to much and it elevates my blood pressure. Anyway I also like to sip on the coffee mostly all morning and it carries into the afternoon from time to time but the biggest problem if I drink the coffee then I have to make more pit stops to get rid of the coffee. BOO
  7. Looks like he rides a RSV and I don't think Hartco makes anything for them unless I missed something. BOO
  8. That's great Cindy, good to hear. BOO
  9. I have the Alaska ones. Love em. I have a large one but think I might have bought an XL one if I had of know how it fits and it could have shrunk from being wet a few times. But it's great. BOO
  10. I never turn mine off unless I'm doing something with the fuel tank. Even if you have a float stuck these bikes won't flood as the gas won't flow through the system without the pump. I've had a stuck float and nothing happen except gas ran all over the place with the bike was running or with the ignition switch was on. BOO
  11. Whenever my wife is getting on or off I usually have the bike on the side stand. Most of the time I get on first and off last so that I can make sure the bike is stable. I have noticed a lot of different ways to get on and off the bike. I've even gotten off a few times and wasn't planning to at that particular time. BOO
  12. Try putting some gas in that hole in the top of the tank. BOO
  13. BOO

    bedford in.

Wasn't me but I'm down that way a couple of times a year. I lived in Shoals until I was 20 years old. I would like to go down and ride with the guys riding out of Corydon in a couple of weeks but it is not to be this year. Some really good riding down that way. BOO
  14. We could take some of that wet stuff up here, I don't think we have had rain for at least 3 weeks but it sure has made for good riding with the temps in the uppper 70's. Sux to be you guys, BOO
  15. Don good luck with the overhaul, sounds like you have a good plan. Jane and I will be thinking about you. BOO
  16. Didn't really consider the false starts all that bad just a steep learning curve. Sure turned out fine though. BOO
  17. Don had a few false starts in the beginning sorting out software etc but I had a single digit and I believe it was 6. Don has always said I am actually number one, wonder what he means by that? Actually this little guy was also one of the first here. BOO
  18. One of the blue ones I had I called "Blue". Pretty original huh? I'm not big on naming things like bikes but I usually got my bike "Her", the wife calls it "The Bike". One thing constant about of the bikes I have and have had when I walk past them I lovingly pat them on the "Seat" and smile. BOO
  19. Have to agree. I didn't know the computer made any noise, interesting, no wonder my bike has no chirp or whine, interesting. There is a saying I believe.......Silence is Golden. BOO
  20. It sure is a nice one, seems to have a lot of accessories but not everything. There are still lots of parts around but I'm not sure I would pay that much for a bike that old. BOO
  21. Nice catch, I do like that color. BOO
  22. Larry, That's interesting, I have always wanted to have some way to shut all the light off the bike if I wanted to. I have lost 3 or 4 stators during my life and it sure would have helped if I could turn the lights off to save battery power to get home or whatever. Of course you can always pull the fuses I guess. Nice mod anyway, BOO
  23. I could but the chances of me doing it are slim and none. Go watch NCIS or go to bed! BOO
  24. You know I had to get out of my easy chair and walk about 15 steps to get to the bike, turn on the key and hit the starter while watching the lights. After a hard days work in the mine.....sorry that is another thread......NO the lights DO NOT go out while the starter is operating. BOO
  25. I'm almost 100 per cent sure the lights DO NOT go off on my second gen when the starter is engaged. I'm to lazy to go out and check at this time though. BOO
