  1. Oh yeah, me too. Drove several hundred dollars into the ground. Stuck one in the lake/swamp when I was down here in Florida last year. The swamp birds looked at the plane come in as to say "bummer landing dude". Electrics don't like the salt water..... BOO
  2. Neat site, gots to play with that site some more later. Boo
  3. Were we all watching the same thing??????? I only saw about 20 laps of racing. I've been watching racing all my life and Nascar is stinking up the place on the plate tracks. Just more follow the leader and let your buddy lead a lap.... I did like the winner though. He's a good kid and races well... Hey, don't be bad mouthing the kid, he's about the only only one that tries to race. Well maybe he thinks it's bumper cars but he helps the sport in his on way. Did you see the picture of the new Indy car?? Now that's something to whine about... BOO

    Finally!

Knock it off Dan. Glad I wasn't down there a couple of weeks ago when it was so cold. Gonna be 80 on Friday..... BOO

    Finally!

I usually leave the first of Feb to go to Florida. I'm suppose to be retired BUT I took on this job a few months ago to remodel an old 4 flat into a duplex.. Figured what the heck, two or three months should be done. The job drug on and on AND finally was jeopardizing my time in Florida. Finally finished installing the counter tops this afternoon and I'm out of this cold and snowy weather first thing in the morning Wahoo, Wahoo.... Should be in southern Georgia by tomorrow night then on down to the Fort Myer area till the end of the month. No bike though, just the cage. Did I mention the shorts and flip flops? AND I don't want any of you northerners sending down any cold weather, just keep it till I get back. Had to clean three inches off the drive this evening but I was smiling. BOO
  6. Yeah I got the same thing recently, the bad part about it was our provider was making a change over so things got very confusing. I emailed the provider and they said to not answer any of the emails I was getting. Seems they alreay know all the information about my account. Sure looked legit though. But I do answer the ones that are giving me money, gonna be rich just as soon as they drop that money into my bank accounts. BOO
  7. Yeah that plug can cause all kind of problems. Once spent a couple of hundred bucks trying to get a radio fixed to find out the plug contacts was the problem. Use pencil eraser and or contract cleaner tools and of course the spray cleaner. emtdouggood: I don't know how much the radios on ebay run but back when these bikes were new the radios were around a grand at the dealers. Good luck, BOO
  8. Carpentry was what I was talking about when I mentioned the glasses with bifocals top and bottom. There were actually the regular cut ones, distance in the middle and up close top and bottom. Worked great for trimming doors etc but thats about it. I've have also checked 2 by 4's more then once because they didn't look plum. And if I move my head from side to side you can get a wave effect with the 2 by 4's and some vertigo to go with it LOL. BOO
  9. Sounds like there is a problem with your glasses. One of the problems I had was the center to center measurement was slightly off so I also was turning my head slightly and only using one eye to see, after they fixed it with a new pair things were just fine. BOO
  10. I too have the progressive glasses and have had for years. I actually started the bifocal years with the progressive so I haven't had much trouble with them. One time a guy gave me the wrong procription.... tried to use them for several weeks before going back and discovering the mistake. Because of the work I do I had a pair of glasses made one time with bifocals in the top and bottom. Loved them for what they were but don't going trying to walk across any roofs with them LOL... Randy just make sure they are made correctly.... having them off a little will drive you nuts... Good Luck, BOO
  11. AND I don't usually care what time it is either, don't even carry a watch..... Just me though. BOO
  12. My left one was a little loose and it would slip down a little every once in a while and one time I was moving the bike around and sure enough it broke just like yours. But a very nice guy here on the forum happen to have an extra one and he sent it to me... no charge.... Great guy that ECK.. I shouldn't say his name, he has a hard time finding a helmet large enough to fit the way it is...... Mine are several years old, probably 6 or so and I notice they are pitting from the sweat I presume but I really like them so when the time comes I will buy another set..... You might check on Ebay, they are for sale once in a while, some people don't like them I guess. BOO
  13. I myself will probably not have a trike but a friend is researching and will probably end up with either the trike or the Landing Wheels or whatever they are called. My neighbor also has a trike which he likes a lot, it's a Motor Trike. His is a 1500 Goldwing, he says his gas mileage dropped to about 32mpg and he doesn't care either LOL. My question is about the extra "few hundred pounds". Hannigan website quotes over 300 pounds and I am wondering is that in addition to the over 800 the bike weighs to begin with or is the equipment taken off the bike substracted from that 300 lbs. What I'm getting at, does the bike weigh 1200 lbs after it being triked? Thanks, BOO

    "go vikings"!

28 all now.... I'm not a vikings fan and was sure the Saints would win but I find myself sitting here routing for the Vikings. BOO
  15. Won't stay and they get run over by the semi's behind you....don't ask me how I know... BOO
  16. My Dad rode, an old Henderson or something similar I'm not real sure. My older brother belonged to somewhat of a wild group in the late 40's and early W's. The middle brother had a Harley about the same time. I don't know about my dad but the brothers both crashed at some time or the other. I had a mini bike that I must have put 10,000 LOL miles on and been riding almost non stop every since. My three kids have had mini bikes, dirt bikes and when they got old enough they had some real crazy crotch rockets that I wasn't real happy about but at one time the boys both had real fast bikes and the son in law had a crotch rocket. If I worried about these kids I would be in a 10 by 10 somewhere. The Daughter is 40--no bikes-- the older boy is 38---no bike-- but the baby 33 tomorrow still rides with his dad from time to time on a 1100 shadow. They had a few wrecks along the way but every thing is fine. I think it's harder to ride with the kids then to let them ride off by themselves. LOL. My grandson is 7 and I don't know if his mother(my daughter) is going to let me buy him a bike when the time comes but we'll see. BOO
  17. Yep, just jump the connector at the switch--after you unplug it--- should work if the switch is bad. BOO Wait Wait Wait after I went back and read the thread, I don't think the switch at the kickstand is the problem. I believe it's the indicator switch inside the tranny, sounds like it's not working properly. BUT I didn't know it would have any effect on the starting of the bike so I guess I am confused as to what's happening exactly. BOO
  18. Glad everything turned out okay, Take it easy, BOO
  19. Good luck rooster.... Hope to see you again this summer.. BOO
  20. I suck......60... U guys cheat... I'm taking my clubs and going home...... BOO
  21. After umpteen years of driving the Pontiac Bonneville's last summer Jane bought a 2009 Chevy Malibu and she just loves it. Has so many toys on it I just stay out of it. She got an email from onstar that her left rear tire was low-----give me a break---- of course I had to go air the darn thing up when it was zero outside-----I'm already not liking this car. Dam I love my little S10 2003. BOO
  22. Like they said sounds like it might have had a float sticking a little bit. When you get a chance you probably could get it out on the road and run it for a few miles and things might clear up. Not to much Sea Foam, at least it won't hurt anything. Sounds like you will have a fine 2st Generation when you are through. They are nice bikes. BOO
  23. As you can see I also live in Illinois. Where in Illinois do you live? If you don't want to say on the forum that is fine just send me a PM so maybe we can get together for a little meet and eat or something. I gots lots of gossip about the weirdo's on the forum that I would be more then willing to share with you.... LOL> PS: Mini thks for the link.... BOO
  24. Okay so where's the post that caused all this crap, I didn't even get to read it and I don't find it either. How in the heck did you offend ECK? Didn't know it could be done, I've been trying to do it for some 3 or 4 years now and I didn't think it could be done. Whether you stay or you go that is your choice but I want to see the post....... BOO
  25. BOO

    Hey RandyA
