  1. Second weekend works for me. Going to see the band "Alabama" on the 10th, already have the tickets. Pick the weekend you get the most interest in. BOO
  2. Jeff, We have of course had the same weather and I'm dam tired of it. By the way this is the third coldest winter for us. Also we have had nearly 6 feet of snow and its not over yet. BOO
  3. Eck, I got a new garmin in Sept with lifetime maps and traffic. I got to say I am really unhappy with it. The speed limit is not right a lot and in places I know hasn't changed in years. Also when I search for a business it can't find it and they are not new business. I shot off a blast to Garmin but nothing so far. I've been using my cell done. Hope yours works better. Boo
  4. Mine too!
  5. He ain't never going to live that down......:stirthepot::stirthepot:
  6. I also had one break but mine are made of some sort of cast metal. AND the break was partly my fault. To answer your question, yes the diameter is quiet a bit larger than the stock grips but they feel better to me. I have the throttle bosses but no weights. After 70-75,000 miles the chrome is beginning to pit from the sweat from my hands. I would buy again, BOO
  7. Sounds like the work went well and no fire in the garage either????:whistling: BOO:banana:
  8. I don't know what's going on but I don't believe there is a gallon of gas in those tanks after you run out. I have put in over 5 gals of gas more than a couple of times without running out. I don't switch mine back and forth, just leave it on reserve like a lot of others. If yours is leaving a gallon I would be looking for gas at 150 miles on the tank. BOO
  9. I don't usually read any post that long so I'm really PO'd. Got me. BOO
  10. Me First! Me First! Me First! BOO
  11. Oh....... and good luck with the surgery. BOO
  12. Enjoy your ride. Sounds like a great trip. BOO
  13. I have always run on reserve except for the old Harleys that had no gas gauge. I don't turn it to on to fill up. Mostly kind of watch the mileage. I don't know about the new Hondas but the ones I have owned had a vacuum shut off. BOO
  14. I'm in for 2014 and I might just show up for a mid Sept thing.:happy65: BOO
  15. Yep, had that happen before. If I remember correctly you can barely get your hand up in there and screw it back on. Have to take the head light out of course. BOO The cable actually comes out from the bottom end so you could take it loose there to see if it has broken. Good Luck, BOO
  16. I can't remember just when I bought the one I have but it was 2006/2007 area. $299.00 and it was discounted a few bucks more but I can't remember why. Great stand, Great people. BOO
  17. I was riding around Indianapolis several years ago and a nasty storm came up. I took shelter under an overpass, rain was blowing so hard I would have got wet if I hadn't had my rain suit on. BUT lightning hit a lamp post on top the overpass close to where I was. Did not injure me but I was glad I had another pair of underwear with me. Been caught out in storms several times in the last 50 years and it's never fun. BOO
  18. Blonde joke to end all blonde jokes.
  19. Sounds like it's working about right. Like Jeff said the gauge is not real accurate. The stators don't tend to get weak and then quit charging. They just quit charging. I think you are fine. BOO
  20. The wife and I have been traveling quite a lot this year (dodging the creditors don't you know). I check the site pretty regularly but don't post to much anymore. Thanks for asking, BOO PS: Don I still don't like it.
  21. I'm old and set in my ways... Don't like the new way. BOO
  22. I regularly get over 40 MPG. 70MPH on the interstate I'll get 44 MPG. At 85 it goes down to around 34 35 MPG. I can't say that I have a vibration in 5th gear. My bike will run just fine from around 50 MPH and up in 5th gear. I can only say I think everything is right in the carburetors so it runs just fine. BOO
  23. No matter what twist things around so it looks like it was her idea. Works for me. I'm getting a fishing boat I really want because "she" thinks its a good idea if I buy it. Now I want to remind you, sometimes this backfires. She wants you to buy something because she wants to buy something. BOO
