Even here in San Antonio we have wild fires all around us. Camp Bullis was on fire, several times! I live is the subburbs norteast San Antonio and we have lots of open fields around us and even we have our bugout bag or in our case large tupperware container with everything we need should we need to leave STAT. We have about a two week supply of MRE's ready to toss into the our F150. CAN'T WAIT FOR WINTER!!! Rick A. aka Sidecar:Venture:

As a native of California don't tell me about earthquakes. I lived in Pismo Beach when the Selmar quake hit, shuck me out of bed and I was 300 miles away. The east and northeast got what I like to call a minor attention getter. Rick A. aka Sidecar:Venture:

Need Prayers for Ponch!!!
ashley9187 replied to Sweetnothing's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
I am very glad that things are moving along so well with Ponch. I know what its like to be on a vent. and having a machine breath for you. It will come out "Oh what a re-leaf it is" Rick A. -
I have tried many of the location links and lots of them bring them back to my general location here in San Antonio TX. Its possible the others will find the same thing, they click on a location link and find them back to their location also. Rick A. aka Sidecar:Venture:

I have a LLama Mini Max 45 and a Tarus Millennium PT 140 Pro 40. cal. for my wife and I wanted to use it when I went for my CCL renewal. I had to forget that idea when we got to the range. Ever time I fired the weapon the mag would fall out. I had to send it back to the manufacturer to be re worked. Now it works fine. Great weapon now to get my wife to the CCL class. I love my Mini .45. It's just a short barrel copy of the 1911 version and a little easier to conceal in a shoulder holster. Rick A. aka Sidecar

I finally had it done. It was easy and missed my RSV for only 4 days. I had all the electrics re-organized under the seat to where I can actually see the battery. I wish I can say I did it myself, but no, my local independent bike shop did it. They do a lot of work on my bike. So much so I almost have stock in the company. They did a great job and you can see all the photos of my bike in my photobucket account. A good place to start is here: http://s1213.photobucket.com/albums/cc474/ashley9187/ Now the only thing I have left to do is install my new Utopia back rest when it comes in. Rick A. aka Sidecar

Had the PGR mission on Thursday (my first). Everything was fine until we got to the Ft. Sam Houston Cemetery and started the flag line. We kept hydrated but we were standing in direct sun with IT directly over head. Water was available and handed out to anyone that wanted it. But to tell the truth I was on the verge of falling out of the formation. So I drove home impaired from minor heat... something or other after the funeral. But the local PGR directer was happy that no one fell out due to heat related problems. Now it looks like we have another funeral coming up soon due to another KIA. I think this will make about 6 in the past 5 weeks or so I'm told. When I was active duty in the 1st Cav. I pulled funeral detail once. We traveled to north TX. I said I would never do that again. Now I'm doing this and I have never been prouder. Rick A. aka Sidecar

My wife and I have a PGR mission tomorrow morning. It's going to be very warm with long waits outside on or near our bikes. Having a bike with a sidecar makes it easy to carry lots of really cool drinks, mostly water, to make the wait more bearable. Temp tomorrow suppose be around 101 w/high humidity, even here in south Texas. Rick A. aka Sidecar & Rosebud:Venture:

Sounds like a real cool system. Here's my situation, I have a sidecar mounted to my RSV and and the passenger headset cable is routed across and behind the back passenger backseat and the passenger in the sidecar helmet connects as if she was on the back seat but she cannot use the passenger mounted ptt button. Is there a work around? Rick A. aka Sidecar:Venture:

I have my 6 pin plug mounted on a 1/8th inch alum. plate I made that mounts behind the license plate is very sturdy and stays up and out of any road spray from the rear tire during inclimate weather. Easy plug in ' I hope this link works for you. Rick A. aka Sidecar:Venture:

You might want to give this company a look. http://www.tourtank.com/TourTanks.html Since I have a sidecar I needed the extra fuel just to get back what I lost with the weight of sidecar and passenger. I have it in my trunk and it feeds into my main tank or I use it as a stand alone. Rick A aka Sidecar:Venture:

I am soooo sorry that I left Annie and Allen with a bad impression of me. I made her ill because my bike had a fuel leak from my reserve tank on my bike and and gas fumes over came her and she had to be taken to her hotel room. I never saw them after that, never said our good by's Again I am so sorry. Rick A. (aka Sidecar)

We were suppose to hit the road at 0600 hrs today but the weather was a little on the ruff side. Waited until it let up and got on the road at 0900. We are spending the night in Atoka OK this evening. We plan on an early start at about 0730 in the AM. The hard part is keeping hydrated while on the road. I think we are making good progress. We are no real hurry. Rick A. (Sidecar) (Rosebud)

It's almost that time!! Packed and ready to go. We hit the road at 0500 in the am. We will take our time to get there thursday, what time we are not sure but if you see a black cherry with sidecar and a trailer, that be us. Can't wait!! Rick A. (Sidecar) and (Rosebud)

We will be leaving San Antonio Wednesday morning, not sure of our drive time or arrival time. We are looking at check in some times on Friday 24th and check out on the 26th. After check out on to Branson and the Holiday Express for a couple of days of fun and shows. This will my wife and I first vacation in 6 years!! Rick A. (Sidecar)

Know what you mean, been to that area lots lately. Thanks for the warnings. Rick A. (Sidecar)

I have had that problem from the start. Wife's audio is at MAX volume, but that poses a miner problem for me. Wifee sits in a sidecar with head and helmet & mic closer to the engine and muffler, so her mic picks up and amplifies the noise coming from the bike. Haven't figured out how to reduce the ambient noise short of enclosing the sidecar, not an option. Rick Ashley (sidecar)

Fairy?? Oooh, Ferry, ferry. Had me confused their for a second. I thought fairy was some kind of super natural twisty road of some kind. A boat ride. Rick A.

After my wife and I leave Eureka Springs we are heading for Branson Mo for some shows and a little more fun. Anyone heading in that general direction?? Rick A. (Sidecar)

My wife and I are going to Eureka Springs next week over the 23rd, 24th, 25th and then heading to Branson Mo also. I took the Austin toll this past winter I just drove thru and took the hwy 71 exit, no traffic. Few weeks later we get the bill and we were riding my RSV with sidecar. Rick A. (Sidecar)
