Yes I definitely will my friend but I decided not to pull the Bunkhouse camper with it so that weekend I won't have it. I'll run down though with it for sure. I got the turn signals working and was getting ready to put the fairing back on and discovered a leaking anti dive valve so I'm swapping out the foeks with some ones I picked up real cheap on ebay with some r6 calipers. I'm putting in new seals and progressive springs then I should be on the road. Have a hitch setup for it but not sure if I want it on there. We'll take a motel trip down there.

I'll send you out a check for two today Steve.
-
We'll plan on heading down on Thursday or Friday and staying until Sunday unless you evict us earlier. LOL I'll bring my carbtune and other assorted tools along.

Hi Bob still have the parts available? May be better for me to run out there with my trailer and hauling the parts back that way. I'm due for a visit to the Buckeye state anyway.

Slow Tachometer
Morev4 replied to Morev4's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
okay thanks a bunch, I'll see if I can get rid of the sticking minutes button also at that time. -
Okay before I dig in what should I look for on a slow reacting Tachometer on my 83? Only happens when it's down below 50 degrees and reads but only so far up. I can rev it up from 1200 to 4000 and it will go up slow and stop around 3000 max. When it's warm it works fine, as far as I can tell. I'm thinking the gear inside the instrument cluster is sticking.

Tires- No Debate!! Just a poll that's all.
Morev4 replied to ENG2242's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
One thing I have noticed with the E3 is that I never get any front tire cupping.I ran the last one down way farther than I normally do and it was smooth all the way across. -
Just saw this yesterday so I took a ride out into Western Wisconsin, where I live, with my passenger floor boards down. My Dad had a 75 cb750 and I was his passenger(until I was too cool to ride as one). He loved to ride these hills and valleys out this way. My Dad passed on June 25 at the age of 75 from advanced prostate cancer. I didn't have a camera along but will duplicate the ride tomorrow and post some pics.

e3 front and back with the 130 up front. May go back to the wide next change just to see what difference as I have the levellling links on after the thin tire. -
I'll try and get that Thursday and Friday off. Not sure if I'll have Diane along but I'll bring the red 83 with me. probably see you before then.

99 110k and still roars with the Bub mufflers with Kyryaken slash tip mufflers, rides better than when it left the showroom floor and looks good all these years later/. I pulled into a local bar a week ago and some dude asked if it was new. "Nope 14 years old he absolutely could not believe it. Told him one coat of canuba wax every year, keep it in the garage, is all I do.

Thanks Gary know where I can get one? Like your bike and that 2nd gen vmax project BTW.

Looking for a spin on oil filter adapter for a 1200 motor, if they exist. I know they do for the 1300 86-93. Anyone have one to sell or can provide a link, greatly appreciated.

Dan, Yooper wanted me to repost your mixture but I couldn't find it and thought a scientific analysis would prove it's about the same as the real stuff. . My Dad and Granpqaused this back when Sea Foam wasn't even readily available in their boats. Use what you want but to each their own. I wouldn't use it every tank but I do almost every other. Stick with whatever you want I'll save money with the same results\, thank you very much. I should mention my cylinder index is over a hundred and I normally would use 5-7 gallons of sea foam a year @$50 a gallon for sea foam.
-
I know this is been posted before but I have been using this the last year and it has cleared up most of my fuel related problems. http://hildstrom.com/projects/seafoam/index.html
