Silver, dont take it to hard. Hind site is always 20/20. You figured it out and now your spreading the word. Out of all the by-pass relays I have built I bench check every one before shipping. I have had one DOA from a supplier and 2 I think have failed in the field for one reason or another. Loose connection causing overheat on a terminal and melting. And I think one with a wire that pulled out or something. So out of like 50 I dont think its a terrible track record.

Rafterd, I sent you a PM also.

Well I had this foolish idea that while school is closed (and I'm off) I might talk maybe Barry into a Ib ride up and back. LOL I know for him its bout dang near impossible to get time off. -
I transferred my gifted one from Barrycuda over to the Victory.

I have had a couple. The last one was "from Microsoft" and the nice man was informing me I had serious infections and bugs in my system. I said really which one? He say your home PC, again I said which one? Third time he says your home PC, I repeated myself again. then he says how its going to lock up and all this stuff. I'm like "really" So I ask which OS is he speaking of. Well windows 7 and your severe yada yada. I said well you have me confused with someone else, because my home machine is on XP. Good Day Habib. I got a similar FU.

OK I have been thru this thread a couple of times. Either the date is in code or I am just missing it. Puc, when is this. Dont know if I can make it, but I have a hair brained idea if its during the summer month I have off. -
Be advised though, if you have the "chrome" covers OEM filters from what I experienced WILL NOT fit. I think they are shorter or something, I forget now.

Ipod is about your only option if you want to use the handle bar controls. I was going to look into finding the connector and stuff to use the CD cable. But I traded before I got to far along that path. -
Had feelings once. Then I went to work as a race official, and I got over that. LOL Thanks Don for the reminder of what this place and others like it are all about. If you want to get the agreeable luke warm responses that agree with your opinion, best you dont ask others. I always think I have to read thru reply's, sort it out for what seems correct or sounds rite and do some research.

LOL First pic, and I'm goin "Hey that must be Puc's other bike"

Up and down weather seems to be what I may get. Certainly am going to have to wait until a lot closer to going to worry about weather. The weekend we are looking at would be St Patrick's. So from what I read it will be packed over weekend. I am thinking about Wed nite to Fri nite.

Thanks, yea we have been to Savannah quite a few times. Stayed out in Pooler once or twice. Went to the Air Force museum they have there, that is interesting. I was kind of wondering on weather. I would really like to ride the bike up, but if its like 5 days of rain and 2 of not, I think it will stay home. Riding in rain for 500 miles is not my idea of fun.

Well the wife and I have 3 days paid for with a hotel resort thing we have to take soon. So next time I have enough time off to use it we are looking March 13-20 I think is the dates. I'm trying to see if they can get us rooms in one of the middle Keys Islamorada or what ever is the next one down (CRS kickin in) My other thought was Savannah as I know they can get rooms there. Not exactly downtown more out by Pooler or the I95 area. I'm thinking about riding the bike if the weather will cooperate. Anybody got an idea how the weather is in Savannah that time of year? WE usually go there in Oct

Seems I remember a switch like that on the Britt bikes from like late 60's early 70" maybe.

If I look around I might find the J&M headsets I had before changing out to Sena

OH man I will probably get whacked on this deal but here goes. I have been working as a instructors assistant @ our local college in the auto technology course. I have had 2 batches of "introduction to auto mechanics" students. You can not teach mechanical skills IMOP. If a guy dont have the skills he will struggle. He might learn enough to change his own oil and keep his rig going, but being a tech is a world different now then when I came up thru the ranks. WAY WAY more electrical knowledge and understanding is now required. Even down here in Fla where we ride year around shops are doing more and more work on the side by side things and jet ski. I looked into going to work at a shop not to far from me, fair pay (not what I think a guy with 40 yr mechanical experience shhould get) When I initialy talked to the HR person we talked about hours, and what days etc. Some shops you are expected to work 5.5 days. So not much time for riding or much else. From what I have seen you are right the pay courses are expensive. MMI and the like. A friends son graduated last year from whatever one is in Daytona last year. His "bonus" when he graduated was he had a good start on a set of tools. 4 moths after graduation he had like 2 offers for like 8-9 bucks an hour. Auto wise a dealership is probably where the money is. But I dont think I could work in one. I would say I am a mechanic and fabricator. I have worked on aircraft and race cars too long to be in a dealer. I enjoy making and fabrication to much. But you talk about a hard industry to get into, racing is it my friend.

So did you transfer over the heated grips also.

Some Yankee left the dang door open too long.

Yea pretty easy for sure. Undo the clamps on the hoses to the air boxs. A couple of 10mm head bolts to un-mount from brackets. Then I think its like 6 screws to take the the halves apart.

Pulled the "barb" out of the fuel cock ....

I have had it happen a couple times on different bikes. I have made the end just slightly egg shaped and then red or green lock tite it back in with same method described, a tap with mallet or block of wood. -
Will a MKI trailer hitch fit on a MKII?

Man there looks like enough heavy gauge steel there to aim the headlight to the sky. The weight of the steel would scare me into being over weight. what did ya pull with that thing? A 5th wheel? -
Dont forget to pack a pencil with you, so you can rewind them things when they get wound up in the deck.

OK sport glad you found the reason they dont light. BUT do you know why it blew the fuse? A relay is the way to go. While LED will not draw as much power, a relay is just a safe way to wire it up.
