  1. So is thing easy enough a Cave Man can install and run I E Puc or me?
  2. I have since change settings to what Don mentioned. I think I should be good. I am however thinking about this ORACAL thing someone posted. If it would allow some games I have that will not run on Win but did on 98
  3. I have been laughing at some of these posts. That is until I started my PC the other morning while having my morning coffee before work. There it was a blue screen with something like "welcome to windows 10" Oh no you dont!!! It asked something about continue with install. I promptly clicked on NO and it reinstalled Win 7. P PHEW talk about your close calls.
  4. I was on my home from Daytona Speedweeks. Riding south on I 95 it had funneled down to 2 lane construction, jersey barriers on one side, orange barrels on the other. @ trucks tieing up both lanes, back and forth neither making any more speed than the other. Cars stacking up behind. So there is 1 car in front of me and like 3 behind me and about the same on the other lane. Like 20-30 min later it felt like we finally got no barriers, and I think the truck in the right lane made an exit. Finally the car hauler I was behind moved over about the same time we gained a lane. I moved far right and maneuvered to get by this mess. About that time I heard the slap slap and then POW a blow out on the trailer. LOL Karma is a B. Lock up 2 lanes for 30 min and never think about moving over. GRRR
  5. I just use an inexpensive soft sided cooler. Actually 2, one inside the other for a little xtra insulation. Smaller one, I guess you could fit a 6 pack in it but not much more. Toss a cold pack in and sandwich, chips and a couple cookies.
  6. Not mine.
  7. Send Microsoft a bill for the new PC you had to buy because it buggered yours up.
  8. I posted it here somewhere. But Oct 15 I was going to take a ride up the Dragon. As I approached the very first turn up from the South end there where the Gas station/restaurant is a big a$$ 18 wheeler comes rounding the corner, completely in my lane. Truck to the left and..... well like 2 maybe 3 ft of grass on right then.......Well a motocross bike wouldnt do me any good. Lucky I managed to get just far enough off the road to miss the truck and not go tumbling down the hill. I was blowing the horn and all kinds of stuff, but the truck didnt even stop to see if he killed me. I will not go back on the Dragon until the eliminate those things being allowed on there. I dont know maybe put a concrete chicane or something at the beginning of each end. If you make it thru you get a pass.
  9. Couldnt you just use the restore feature and go back a week or so to last restore point?
  10. I have an LG G3 and cant wait to ditch it. This phone has been shutting off, changes screens to something different than I want. All kinds of bad things. Been doin this for like 6 months or so now. It must know the contract is about up. So far both cell carriers I have had Sprint and Verizon both have needed a booster in the house to work. Sprint would "lend" you one as long as you had service with them. Verizon I had to buy a $200 "extender" so my phones would work in the house. So I am looking at Total Wireless service. It runs off Verizon towers but I can not get a definite answer if my $200 booster will work with that service. Between Verizon and Comcast I work like a week and half for them. I bought a used Iphone from a friend solely for the ipod use on the Victory. But I am thinking if I can figure out how to use the phone after being android since smart phones came out I may just activate it.
  11. I cant see nothing. No picture to look at. Kind of har to vision what your saying. But if the spring has a flat plate and the axle does also, yea I can see it being bolted direct.
  12. I wouldn't use any petroleum product on rubber. Petroleum and rubber dont mix well. Now a little dielectric grease which is a silicone product will do the same and not eat the rubber.
  13. AGM need an entirely different "battery tender" thing from what I have read. The way you charge up a AGM is suposedly different. I dont know how when your bike is going to charge it the same way as a wet cell.
  14. You can do multiple in a post
  15. Great. It was all I could do to get them to fit in the dang box. LOL I felt like I needed to leave at least one together as an example.
  16. We could use some of that there cool weather. Been in 90s for a couple weeks now. Humidity in the 60,70 range
  17. My RSV got the same thing. Only way I could get rid of it was take the handle out of fixture, and I used either moly grease like you use on rear splines or I have used anti-seize. Get it on the bolt and also on bushing in handle if you can. Clean out the area where the plunger is on handle are also. The grit could cause noise.
  18. If you are just trying to protect from scratches, this stuff works pretty great. I installed a pretty good sized kit like 8 or 10 pieces. Like static cling.

    OIL

Ran the Rottela T6 almost the entire time I owned my RSV. When I didnt run it I had Mobil 1 20w50 in it. I ran it in my 900 Vulcan also. It is a JSMO rated oil, so all is good there.
  20. I think your going to have to cut foam out of her couch back there. And I'm gonna bet she aint gonna like that.
  21. Congrats. They are a looker to be sure. I had a few "what the heck" moments when reading reviews and such on the bike though. Its a touring bike (sorta) and the GW has cruise, so why in the hell would you not make the bike with cruise? Saw a matte finish sort of like yours and a guy added some neon or shocking green graphics to it on bags and fairing. Nothing huge just sort of like pin strips but angular swoopy style. Looked sharp and caught your eye.
  22. One point on the heat issue between the Roadmaster and the Springfield. the Roadie has the lower leg fairing I believe. If they are anything like the XCT Vic you have to sort of "learn" how much opening actually cools behind it vs wide open. You would think more opening would be better. But alas I can confirm no it dont work that way. The Springfield has no lowers so should be much better in that way. The Kawasaki Voyager is still the nut roasting king from what I read. The price on the Indians once you get to the bigger ones is shocking to say the least. If you want to try a V-Twin again wait for a dealer demo day and try a Victory Cross Country. the Visions I have rode I think the engine heat is better off than my XCT. I do find it odd the Indian dealer offered a low ball on a trade though. I dont buy cars/trucks/bikes with the intent of resale value, but you would like to recoup some of your money. Had a Harley salesman run the BS of better resale yada yada past me once. I told him I wasnt using it for retirement investment.
  23. Chris, did you get the previous owners name and #. He can be some good info on maintenance and things of that sort. Looks good, and I always liked the blue ones too. I would say the wife misses the pillow top seat the most on the Victory. So much that I ordered a Drag Specialties pillow top for the Vic. http://asset.lemansnet.com/edge/0/8/1/08101542.png?x=381&y=381&b=ffffff&t=image/jpeg
  24. I loaded the Raindar one here a couple of months ago when someone posted something about "favorite apps". I also have used Rider X which originally was a Victory App. but it is not like it was when first came out either. Accuweather is main one on phone and I also have wundeground. This winter I loaded a wind chill app to just for a reference. Brenta wind chill.
  25. guys I am looking for a luggage rack that actually goes on a HD side hack. but looking around I have seen similar ones on like a velx or something like that. Anyways I think possibly any of the "classic" styled side cars rack would do. HD dont make the rack for theirs anymore and I can source one. I want to mount it on my Victory Cross Country. The big HD tour pack ones are just to large I think. Here is a pic of the side car one mounted up. Thanks for the help.
