  1. Looks professionally installed to me. The one I posted on my 900 Vulcan was supposed to be for a HD Road King or something. SO I had to make mount brackets also. I used part of the Memphis Shades bracket. But also had to make the sort of half moon brackets like yours. I used some sections of floor planks I had around. Almost same thickness at the stainless brackets they sent and way easier to drill. I used cardboard first to mock up, then the wood and when finalized drilled metal.
  2. The lens and all is sealed (bonded) to the headlight bucket. There have been some to make it work and I have seen a couple threads around. But basically you have to split the lens off the OEM headlight and figure out how to mount the LED headlight to whats left.
  3. Nice touch. Bet that is a service a lot of other sites dont offer.
  4. Ask Larry. But what I would do is bend the connector that goes on the horn at a 90 deg, then zip tie the wires up so they stay off the exhaust. I built my own bracket and harness, but thats what I had to do as space is limited there. Had to do the same with the one I mounted up in left front foot fairing.
  5. OK first I have to say I have no video camera past my phone. So bear with me on some ideas. Is there a GO PRO user forum? Maybe ask the folks on the site you want to post about it. If you have uploaded there before, I just have to believe it is something in your settings. Is it a compatible format? I'm sure you have done some sort of search.
  6. SAw one like that with a hack on it in Daytona @ Bikeweek. It was at one of the sidecar dealer places, but looked sharp.
  7. Nice color there.
  8. Looks to be a Windjammer SS. the decal is simply "sportster" I think. Does look pretty nice. I had the Windjammer fairing on a couple bikes back in the day. I can say they were probably one of the best built aftermarket items on the market.
  9. Yup far as I know all send gens have only a heel toe. Maybe one off a stratoliner would work? Pretty sure the Tour Deluxe are same shifter as 2 gen.
  10. Ride till it stumbles, flip to Res and look for fuel.
  11. They do make the under armor shirts in a different style besides the "compression" ones is which is the ones that fit really tight. But yea I get what you mean. I have also been thinking about the sleeve things.
  12. I have heard the connectors on the back part of the motor for the stator are pretty bad about burning and corroding. But you just replaced the stator if I read this right. If you have a jumper cable connect to the ground @ battery and to a good engine ground. This should help if its a problem like MiCarl had. I had issues with the main fuse connector being all corroded.
  13. Worse case it hangs the float up and gauge dont work right. But you can figure pretty quick how long a tank of fuel will run you.
  14. Oh geeeze sounds like a Harley salesman.....Yikes:doh:
  15. Check out fellow member @M61A1MECH ads. He makes custom rear lighting for bikes.
  16. Had some that looked like that. They were USAF issue and about 4yr old when I needed to use them. Not so useful when I needed them. So now I have 2 sets, one for boss and one for me. They are kind of a mixed bag. The pants I us are Tourmaster and have sort of a no skid piece on the but. The stirrups are all stretched out and got hung up on controls and stuff so they are gone. There is elastic on the bottom so they stay down rather well. The set the wife wears I got with a belt on the jacket @ waist figuring she can adjust it to keep it from blowing up or maybe get a bit more air thru. Hers has a mesh net type stuff on the inside supposed to make it easier to get on and off and improve air flow. how much is does ???? IDK My jacket is a Nelson Rigg AX1 Dont think they make it anymore it is PVC I think, the other one is more flexible so I think its Rayon or something and lighter. My next suits will be the Rayon or Dacron whatever material not the pvc as they are lighter and pack smaller. Brite colors for me to, as in rain visibility is already reduced, mine are yellow, Wife hates orange and them other bikes made in USA tend to make everything in that color so they can blend in with construction barrels on the side of the road I guess. OK to maybe give you a little direction, or just confuse the heck out of you. For a reasonable priced suit I would say this one would be on my list. Its from a place I have dealt with quite a bit JAFRUM. Good service decent return policy and good range of equipment. Here is a page with their suits. Cycle Gear is another place I have ordered from over the years and they have brick and motor stores around depending on where your located so you can actually go and try it on. Last place I'll give you is Leather up. They have all sorts of stuff from travel bags to pants, jackets do rags whatever. I have bought decent fitting riding jeans from them twice now and got the pants for about $15 a pair, beat that in you local store. They have a store brand "Xelement" is good quality on most things. I dont care for the Frogg Toggs things. I have not had any, but a couple friends have and not had good luck on long days in them. If it is just short storms they were alright. Holes melt in them pretty easy, they get caught on something and poof instant hole. Just my opinion on them. Have fun. Red1- Yea almost forgot the gloves part. I have these. They do OK but I have been in rain that soaked them thru and thru. They do as well as the $40-50 pair I had before them I guess. The expensive pair split a seam between the fingers, man that acted like a big ole scoop. I poured water out of the gloves once. Rain gear is hot and a nuisance to put on. So summer time I try to look the rain clouds over and figure if its a quick rain or a soaker. A quick rain and its already 95 deg I'll press on. But with my past observations on rain and clouds, the wife says I probably should not apply for the weatherman job.
  17. ea I dont know nuttin about no zombies neither. Never heard of the guy before I saw the show. Not even sure I would recognize him if I saw him. Especially if he washed his hair or got a hair cut. LOL Damn now I sound like my old man back in the 70's. YIKES There are a couple local TV stations that have like branch stations or something, anyways they show reruns of the old good TV shows and movies. One of them does "binge weekends" and they show nothing but like last week was Ironside, couple weeks ago was Rockford files. I am going to write them and see if they can do Then Came Bronson.
  18. I like the new "weather wicker" kind of like under Armour. I like the long sleeve ones for the very reason you mention. I have had some issues with skin cancer already and I hate having greasy feeling stuff on my arms. Plus on long trips even using sun screen at end of the day it attracts a lot of dirt. Target has some good knock offs as does Wally World. I got a couple for the wife and I from Target that are the brite hi vis green. They were in kind of the sports wear side of dept. If its a little cooler out I will use regular long sleeve t-shirt. The loose fitting fishing type shirts I have a couple. But on the bike I dont care for the flapping they do. I dont care for the "compression" type shirts, the slightly looser fitting ones is what I like. I do have a couple compression ones though I will wear as under layers when needed.
  19. My desk top is still Win 7. But I get some bogus warning about virus infection windows yada yada I need to call XXX rite away to get cleared up. I have run virus checks and spy ware checks and it is still there. Pops up once in awhile and cant seem to get rid of it completely.
  20. To danged funny Condor. A friend of my wife posted something on her Facelook thingy about meeting them up on the BRP I think. Said what the show was and I had never heard of it. A few days later I ran across it. Now I have watched a few of them. I just watched the Key west one last night off "on demand". Man Peter Fonda is sort of ruff looking, but he still rides so got to give him point on that. Did you notice most corners they mad had cop cars stopping traffic? How about the Chevy Tahoe following them. Saw one from Louisiana and twisted sisters in Tx.
  21. I had a Cargo Mate 14' job I hauled a Legends Car in. It had at least one if not 2 roof vents. Still hotter than @#%^& in there no matter what and no air circulation.
  22. Hey folks. Got some of my chores done early today and danged if it didnt start raining buckets. So I was looking on the ole interweb on you tube for something and got side tracked. You all ever have that happen? Anyways I found this fellows site and thought it might be interesting to someone. This fellow puts this charity ride on to raise funds for a non profit benefiting deaf kids. He starts in St Augustine Fla, but you can join anywhere along the way. Here is the site to read more if your interested. Man after sitting around this summer and baking down here, it sure sounds tempting. Here is the proposed 2017 Ride
  23. Was a Lockheed man all my aircraft carrier. Worked C-141 some C-130 and c-5.All USAF Cargo acft. On the on the end of the base we had all Boeing, Kc 135 tankers (707) and occasionally B52. But its cool they have been around a long time and I'm glad they got the new tank contract. the government awarding it originally to Airbus was a crock of BS. Why in the world would you source out a military aircraft to a country or country's that dont really like us no how?? Hopefully them dingbats will be looking for a new job come Nov.
  24. I will ad in a key on power on the by-pass relays for guys too, some want GPS or power for a phone only with key on. Does same thing only power with key on.
