  1. So when we go to the Doc why do we fill out all this paperwork and list all the meds we are on. Some its multiple, lucky for me I can list them in a couple lines. But anyways, we list all this crap and then the stuff they give us one of the first cautions is dont take if..... Really Doc what the heck????? Hope it straightens out for you. I have been lucky my bought have so far all been short term. Sinus, I did have a bought when I was in USAF that was 2 weeks or something. Man that was bad.
  2. I think wire to ground and the red to what ever is connected to OEM pump. The Mr Gasket pumps do not have the check valve in them. Could go inline check valve pretty easy. http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-8-10mm-Inline-Check-Valve-Fuel-Diesel-Gas-Liquid-Air-One-Way-HHO-Water-/381718171612
  3. Ok so that is what you need is the interface cable. You can PM Buddy and see if maybe he has any. This should be the link to ed sets. The cable looks different than what you get.
  4. Somewhere here on the site is a write up I did when I swapped mine over. I did shut off the petcock when I first did the change. Then after a few months I didnt, and never caused me any issues. But it could have been just dumb luck. If the bike was going to sit overnight of a few days I would close it off to be safe. Especially with these high temps. My thinking on this is more heat causes more expansion and if the vent cant keep up it could push fuel thru. Here is the link to the swap over.
  5. LOL yea I guess so.
  6. Puc I'm with ya on the non-chlorinated or Enviro friendly stuff. I wont clean gum off your shoe. At the race shop we had a sponsorship from Valvoline or someone for our oil and stuff. We got our Brake Kleen from them. They sent us like 80 cases of that non chloro stuff, soap and water does a better job. So if you dont have the bakelite floats and all parts are metal, what about laquer thinner and a touch of ATF or marvel in it?
  7. I had to laugh. Had one of those type metal shelves in a shed. It got a kink in it like that and I had like gallons of paint or something on it heavy. When it collapsed it was ugly. I should have turned it over and maybe put a piece of plywood on it.
  8. Hmmm SAw a thread where a fellow installed the old round thrush or "cherry bomb" type mufflers on a earlier RTC. I think he visited a local muffler shop and the made the parts for him to fit.
  9. If I ever get in a wreck with some JA messing with a cell phone, we shall then see how good their reception for signal is when its jammed up their _ _ _
  10. That stuff we used to get in the gallon can for carb cleaning was some powerful stuff.
  11. I forget what my paint cost to get the fairing painted. It something stupid expensive like $200 bucks or something back in 07. Here is some of my mock up pics.
  12. I stand corrected. I had to go look up the Sunoco E85 stuff we ran for race fuel.
  13. convicts got it TOO good. I like the Sheriff in Az that makes them guys live in some of the same conditions we did in Desert Storm. Tents
  14. You need to turn your shelf over there before it collapses. LOL
  15. Are you sure it wouldn't have been cheaper to keep the XCT?
  16. Far as I know, he quit making them due to non availability of parts he liked. So Ed sets is about the only place that has something like that. Are you looking to use the cell phone part of GPS with intercom? Or just have it play over headsets.
  17. Sorry to hear the Vic is gone. But you know better than us what you need. Just enjoy whatever.
  18. Hmm trying to remember what the motor kote stuff is. I have some stuff in a jug the label is long gone. But I thought it was motorkote. We had some @ race shop. The stuff I have is very graphite looking stuff. And if you get it on something its on there, like a stain. So I dont know maybe I have something else. I am running it in the wifes car rite now.
  19. E 85 and 15% Alcohol is same gas. E is "ethanol" and the 85 stands for how much "real gas" is in there. You would think higher octane would be more power and better milage. But what I have read and found out lately is higher octane burn slower, just the opposite of what we think.
  20. I would think some straight Sea Foam or Berrymans would do the trick with a stiff brush. Let it soak a bit and scrub.
  21. Yea have been a fabricator for decades. Aircraft mechanic by trade, but racer for ever. LOL So to be able back in my racing days to build a car where I was, you couldnt just surf the net to find race car parts. If you needed something you designed it.
  22. Looks professionally installed to me. The one I posted on my 900 Vulcan was supposed to be for a HD Road King or something. SO I had to make mount brackets also. I used part of the Memphis Shades bracket. But also had to make the sort of half moon brackets like yours. I used some sections of floor planks I had around. Almost same thickness at the stainless brackets they sent and way easier to drill. I used cardboard first to mock up, then the wood and when finalized drilled metal.
  23. The lens and all is sealed (bonded) to the headlight bucket. There have been some to make it work and I have seen a couple threads around. But basically you have to split the lens off the OEM headlight and figure out how to mount the LED headlight to whats left.
  24. Nice touch. Bet that is a service a lot of other sites dont offer.
  25. Ask Larry. But what I would do is bend the connector that goes on the horn at a 90 deg, then zip tie the wires up so they stay off the exhaust. I built my own bracket and harness, but thats what I had to do as space is limited there. Had to do the same with the one I mounted up in left front foot fairing.
