Well take this for what you want, but here is my advice. I have a few years as a auto tech. I have worked on my own stuff as long as I have been driving 40+ years. So why did you tear it down this far? Are you doing the work yourself or paying a tech to do it? Do you want to chance having to pay (or do) it again in a few months possibly? I may not have the rite year for your scoot but I think they are all about the same. Anyways Ricks electrical has new stators for about $160 I have used his parts before and they have been a higher charging unit than OEM kawasaki I put it in. So you choose, roll the dice if you want. But my thought is your already there, whats another less than $200 to know you aint going to have issues in 5 weeks or so when its time to ride. My luck would be it would crap out when I'm pulling out the driveway on a trip.

A couple years back bought my son and his wife one of those 10x20 garage cover things. We tied it down with 1/4" steel cable to wood privacy fence on one side and screw in tie downs on the other side. Shortly after we put it up we got some heavy rains and had to do some work on the tarp cover. Then was good for maybe year and half. Then we had some strong storms come thru and he much have got like a micro burst or something at his house. My daughter in law texted me and sent a picture. The wind had got under it and lifted the one side and flipped it over the fence. It was one huge pretzel. No more cover. Long term if I needed something to store stuff in, I'd be saving up for one of them storage sheds from Home Depot, They can get pricey.

I think I just locked it up against a boss in case with a drift or something, then tightend down. A bar like your showing would be fine also imop

Du-Ron what are you trying to do? I had an 07 VN 900 and installed the rear overdrive pulley and later the front one. Now weather or not I can find pictures of the area your working in I dont know. I may have some notes or something around here. I also had to replace a stator on the thing as it went out about 35K.

If your talking here in Fla, I dont think time of year makes much difference. Other than maybe July or Aug.

My pillow top seat is one of the things we miss on long trips on the Victory. But I am a shorter guy than you. Mikes idea of the waffle pad thing may work for you. It may rais you up a bit, but you can stand that.

Power issue mid RPM

The OEM HD pipes shouldn't make any performance differences. Mine would maybe "blubber" a bit more on heavy deceleration. Plugs may be worth a look to make sure gapped correctly to get the most mileage out of them. I thinking more in the direction of carbs. Have you sync the carbs lately? -
Well that tatoo would be almost as bad as all the Dale Jr fans that had the big * tatooed on their arm. They lucked out and could add another 8 beside the one they had and bee good to go when he changed teams and numbers. So I guess you could always say "next year" and make it L II, no problem.

Well here in central Florida, it has been unusually warm. I think we have had maybe 5 days under 60. I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop so to speak. I have made the trip up to Daytona for bike week and froze my butt off. So guess there is time for a major cool off.

I dunno why, but I always kind of liked them style milk trucks. Would be neat to refurb one and make a food truck out of it. I figured Puc would lay eyes on that blue HD. I dig the old check marathon also. They sure had an eclectic collection of goods.

I dunno who got MVP, but I would guess the cheater leader. But the guy that should get it is the receiver that caught that finger tip catch. Because if that went the other way their sails would have been let out. The Pats only played one quarter, but I guess evidently thats all they needed to. Atlanta played a way better game, but I think they ran themselves out of gas at the end. The other thing that irks me is they are making a mockery out of what we raised our kids on. "cheaters never win" But yet here they are.

I think you can sign up for e-mail notification from USPS. But also if they have a package for you and your not home. As mentioned they leave a message on door or in box.

He looks thrilled! LOL Congrats

Hmm got me scratchin my head on that one. I thought for sure all the diesel pickups I have worked on (got a stint in a Dodge dealer) had 2 batteries in them.

Yamaha is going to buy up the V-Twin design from the folks over @ Polaris and make Victory's. Thats my story.

Nuutin wrong with computer controled EFI. Just have to understand it. That said carb parts are getting hard to find. Holley and some others make aftermarket bolt on throttle body FI kits that work pretty dang good. On the lift for the bike, I have been looking around some for something like that. you see them for bikes under say 400 lb or so. Hard to find one for a 1000lb bike though. Would need so much more support than just a bumper.

The fuel pump runs for a "duty cycle" when you first turn on the key. This is to fill the carbs and get some fuel to them. Then once bike is running it will or should get power in kind of an "off and on" deal to supply fuel. Now weather that is done by a timed relay or a electrical impulse via the ECM.

My stebel got swapped over from my 07 Kawasaki to the RSV. I worked fine when I traded in 2016. Once in awhile I had issues with some corrosion causing it to not work. Mine was mounted by my left foot inside the crash bar there by removing the plastic cover. Some dielectric greased helped out. Since then I have bought a couple knock off looking stebel/bad boys on e-bay. They perform the same in my estimation. Had them on the wifes car and my truck for probably 3-4 years now.

Dont that just figure, the storage place would be all the way back there? By the looks of the bog, even 4wd wouldnt have done much for you. Some of that stuff looks like it would just load up the tread and its like having slick tires. No grip. Those King Ranch jobs are optioned out nice.

I know you will, but shop around. If you want new, probably price wise yea the class C. However if you look used withing say 4yr old you can probably find a Class A gas rig for close to the same. Get more room, slides etc. Most of the ones I saw last week are on a Ford Chassis and had V-10 in them. Check out RV Trader if you havent already.

So if we come up north of the boarder for a visit with my say 14k toy hauler, will they not let us in without some kind of endorsement.
-
Did some research today on the 6.0 IF you "bullet proof" one they pull, and are reliable as heck. But parts alone are like $2500. Replacing head bolts, EGR cooler, oil filter by pass and relocation and engine oil cooler. I think I'll pass on this project. Partially because one of the things that has to be done to work on the motor is take the car completely off the chassis. YIKES As for the driver license thing. Far as I know as long as its a "private use" no special requirements. Funny we as motorcyclist have to have a endorsement here in Florida to operate a motorcycle. But Elmer who hasnt driven anything bigger than a Crown Vic can by a 300k class A motor-home with air brakes and dont need anything! If I went to work for say a lawn care company with one of those little Izuzu flat nose trucks with air brakes I would have to have a commercial driver license with air brake endorsement. Just dumb

Its called RAM mounts X mount. I looked on their site and collected the part numbers I needed for bits. Then searched e-bay for prices to see if I could score a deal. I think I still ended up buying from Ram mounts, as no deal was found on e-bay or amazon at that time.

Yea the toy haulers weigh a bit more per foot. I presume because of flooring and cargo allowance. So this Fuzion I am looking at has ship weight of 13,480 and a carrying weight of 3520. So if I am beginning to understand all this stuff I add those 2 together and I need a truck that will have that or less listed as max tow capacity? 17,000#

WOW Am I confused now. Trying to find out, figure out what size truck I need. I see these huge triple axle toy haulers and have a fair idea based on what models/manufacture they weigh. So now I am using some calculators online and plugging in numbers and am surprised on the results. Probably the majority of these F350 pulling these rigs are illegal based on weight overloading. Most 350/3500 rigs are 15k jump to a 450/4500 and it only goes to 16k. Dang some of these 5th wheels are 16k shipping weight. So add in a motorcycle and some LP clothes your probably close to 19k. You need a Volvo over the road rigs. I did find a rite priced F350 with low miles. But its an 06 6.0 diesel and those had all kinds of problems, so those years of the 6.0 are out imop.
