  1. Hmm nice place. Think I will not put it on my have to see list. Actually I have been there a few times, dont miss it or the traffic one little bit.
  2. I had to build a frame of sorts like the carbon1 for my RSV. My 900 vulcan before I had to make shift with some 1x2 to make it level. Which reminds me I tripped over my lift adapter today and probably need to see if I can find it a new home. The victory part of the frame hangs down like that. Had to take a 2x4 about 4" long. Drill a 1 or 1 1/8 hole in center then cut the board in half so you cut the hole in too. the half hole lines up on the frame and goes on the lift arm so your not crushing important things under there.
  3. I see now they make an "ethanol" formula of sta-bil. I dont have a clue if it really is any different from the regular stuff or not. Maybe its just the pretty green bottle. Around here its probably cheaper to take a can to the airport and buy some avgas 110 lo lead
  4. Or at least some spare parts to fix it. Glad you made out.
  5. So 4k between 2 caps, I would like to think not going to be a problem. Shoot you can almost get that in wires over 12-14" long.
  6. Steve the state loves their critters and welcomes them. Just take the varmit up to the Ocala forest or one close by you. There will be campers and hikers that leave food out and it will be fat and happy.
  7. Just so happens this is kind of the material my student had this week. Ignition systems, principals and operation. 4 ohm difference in the cap "should" not make large difference. Couple things to think about 1-is this a direct replacement IE:is this what is now the oem replacement? If it is or recommended as replacement they have figured out if it will work OK with other ignition components like the ecu or what have you. 2-possible shorter plug life because you will now have more volts running to the plug with the reduced resistance in caps. 3-Possibly interference or "buzz" in you radio and electronics
  8. The 230 has a softer compound I think. The 777 is more for heavier bikes, so should work well for you. Also from the research I was doing last month they are also what they call "reinforced" so may have more plys. Overall I think they are a good buy. I like the tread pattern on the 777 also.
  9. Getting older was definitely preferable to an up close and personal meeting with the Grim Reaper.
  10. Hopefully they used different market source analysts than Victory did to try to figure out what they think people want. Not for me. But hey I like the Vision so to say my likes are.... um unique.
  11. Yea they kind of boo boo'd that schedule up. Putting it in spring break time is a bad move.

    Weather

Well shorts and t-shirts most of the winter. I think our coldest day has been in 50's and only a day or so. But come August we will pay for it I'm sure.
  13. Just jump on some of the travel sites and put in your dates. Daytona will be more than say St Augustine or Deland, or down Steve's way in Edgewater both maybe 45 min hour away. Any of the beach hotels are going to be high and most are pretty crappy for what you get unless you spend $150 a night or more. I'm planing on going up probably the first weekend. I forget why right now but the second weekend I remember something going on that keeps me from going.
  14. 2006 Peterbilt loaded and Kz 5th Wheel Escalade with all amenities. Will sell together or separate. 58,975 for both or 38,900 for Escalade and 29,500 for truck.
  15. I have to reche k. But I think an Escalade dont know model #
  16. For the normal trips I would have to agree. But the wife and I have been talking about going full time RV. Do the work camper hing 4 months or so here work for say the camp ground, then go to another location work for UPS or someone. There are sites dedicated to posting part time jobs for folks like this. I think wow this would be kind of fun, then I think about having a 2000+ sq foot house and garage and down sizing to something smaller than we lived in when in the USAF. Dont know if its for me. Plus I HATE changing jobs.
  17. @SilverT So all this back and forth with myself trying to figure what I want to do. Size of unit then got to have bigger than F350 dualy for weight of trailer we like. Then over all cost is prohibitive. Well I think got it found on local craigs list. So I dont know what motor etc would be in this 2008 Peterbuilt. But pretty sure it would drag whatever I could hook too. LOL
  18. Hyd clutch you kinda got what you got. To change the draw (throw) you would have to change the pivot point. Or maybe a larger clutch master (diameter of bore) in conjunction with off set throw handle. My cable clutch on the Victory was really stiff. Especially right where I didnt need it to be, in that partially engaged slow traffic area. Luckily someone make a lever to put on that changes the angle on the cable pull to make it a little easier.
  19. Yup also because was Honorable should make you qualified for VA care should you need it and get signed up. It is getting tougher to "get in"
  20. So I have 2 questions. 1-Is there a tuna sandwich somewhere in all that Tupperware. 2-Good reason to have a K&N I would presume.
  21. I forget what I had to do to sign up for our account. I am retired AF and have used this service a little. As was mentioned for the most part Costco, Sams and the like may very well have cheaper prices. But the AAFES usually have "quality" type items. I mean say clothes are more in line with what say a Dillards or Belks would carry vs a Wally World. I am guessing even the Govt is seeing reduced purchasing in the exchanges as is the brick and mortar stores Wal mart, Sears and the like are loosing to amazon and other online shopping stores.
  22. Well I know its too late but here is my .02 worth. When got my RSV it had Dunlap E-3 on it, I think the PO didnt check pressures much as it was worn weird. Then it got the growl in corners. And not just fast ones. Also in the wet, not real rain just wet they were slippery. I accredited it to no cross groves in tread pattern. The center has no cross groves. So then I went to the MC 2 and used the 130 up front. They were great wet or dry and got great mileage like 12-15k. Then went to a Shinko on the rear (MC 2 on front was fine) I think the Tourmaster 230 but not positive now. So b rings me to the Vic Cross Country. Currently has the E-3 radial on it. Rear tire doing the same saw tooth thing and growls like crazy in corners. So you think you are limited on tire choices? Try finding a 180/60r16. Only 2 choices Dunlap or Avon, Shinko makes one in that size, but load rating is not high enough. So I decided to change both tires and went with Continental Milestones. Dont know it they make anything to fit the RSV. But the Shinkos are a good tire for the price for sure. Will they last as long as a MC 2? I dunno I only put about 5-7k on mine before I traded, but it looked like new.
  23. I think maybe your talking about the Phase 7 lights or something like that. LED bright as the sun. But any PAR 36 bulb will work/fit. Some are better than others. There are some cheap LED work lights from harbor freight I think some have used.
  24. Dang work thing!!!! College has classes so I got to work.
  25. The ethonal stuff aint terrible on carb stuff, IF your running fuel thru regularly. A shot of sea foam or Berrymans dont hurt nothi g either. But let the ethonal sit awhile. Because of the alcohol content it attracts and envelops moisture. Even with the FI on the Vic I put berrymans in every couple tanks.
