SO we have had our SENA SMH10 for I dunno maybe year and half or so. My biggest complaint is the sound quality of the speakers, especially with music. So I have looked at you tube and on the net for mods. Some of the mods I have seen recommend a Panasonic headset and a couple a sony, dont have the numbers handy rite now. But have any of you all done this mod and does it help? One of the videos say to stay with the same ohm rating. What if I go with some rated @ less ohm resistance? Will they be louder? The SENA are allegedly 32ohm.

I had the std size OEM windshield. It was fine most of the time. Rain was bad as I am short enough I couldnt see over it no matter what. I had a old Memphis shades shield I took of my Kawasaki. I laid the RSV shield over the top and cut it down. Then trimmed some on that until I got the right height I was looking for. It was free so I wasnt out anything. There are a couple aftermarket jobs I would have tried.

I certainly don't miss living in Southwest Oklahoma anymore. Much better weather wise here in central Fla.Well except its been mid 90's or higher already and its only April.

My 2nd gen I usually got around 36-38 on long trips. But I was usually 2 up and loaded with gear. Yesterday we ran up and back to Leesburg Bikefest on the Victory. I got 41.6 mpg, winds picked up considerably on the way back. Probably 10-12mph gust and 8 steady.

Meet Bluebeard up in Leesburg today. Not bad in AM, but we left up there about 2 and hit some temps by the bike thermo were showing 100. I know its high by 2-3 deg but still ugh. And its only April.

Should be OK by us. Might go by my sisters in Nokomis after being we will be over there. Leaving about 8 am tomorrow to go to Leesburg. Seen tons of bikes heading north on US 27 today.

Agree a lot of left footers rest their foot on the pedal. Mine is only there or hovering in traffic. I dont ride them because it wears out brakes. If I did ride them I doubt I would get the kind of mileage out of a set of brakes I do. LOL We have a large population that turn all the way across 3 lanes of traffic to go to far right lane. I mean how the heck else you gonna get over there to the Wal Mart? Or they ride in the left lane 10 mph under the limit staring at the GPS blocking a 1/4 of the windscreen, so they can go to the Dr.

I read an article several months back about transmissions in cars here in North America. By something like 2020-2022 you probably will not be able to by a stck car or truck under 3/4 ton. Its all to do with EPA and CAFE the federal fuel milage thing. They can make cars shift via the ECU, you on the otherhand shift when you feel best. Not good on fuel milage. Look around. Se if you can find a pick up with a stick in 1/2 ton. I love my Cummins stick. Oh and I am a left foot braker from way back in my drag race days.

I think the guy was prejudiced. Because your over XX age and get to travel, he was jealous and want to delay you from enjoying your retirement. Come to Florida, a fellow drives maybe a mini van as the biggest vehicle during his life. Retires, buys a 45' or bigger motor home with air brakes and needs no kind of special endorsement. If I went to work for say a lawn company with a 20' truck that had air brakes, I would have to have a special endorsement for air brakes. Go figure. Good luck next time around

Have never used the liner things. WE use "space saver bags". They are like a big zip lock you put your clothes in, roll and it pushes the air out. Keeps them dry and easier to pack. Plus as you wear clothes you can segregate and keep stinky ones separated. Carry a easy folding cloth type bag like your reusable grocery bag and you can put the bags in those to move into the hotel room. The luggage rack we used every year when we travel. Usually jackets. Pack the heavier stuff low, you need all the low CG you can get.

I never had an I anything before the Victory. It had a connector for it so I started looking. You can find the little Ipods with 6 gb or so and you can just sort of change them out. But I bought an Iphone 4s from a friend and just use it for music. I dont think its got 3gb of stuff on it rite now.

Bake issue I would look for an rotor with excessive run out. You need a dial indicator to know how much, but to put an eyeball on it should be not to hard. Jack bike up so front wheel will spin free. Then you will need something to be stationary that will reach the rotor. So then you want it close to the rotor and spin the wheel and watch for a wobble look between the item and the rotor. A jack stand may work. The carb/running thing would need a little more trouble shooting.

You can probably buy an older I phone with the space you want vs an actual I pod touch. I do have an old Galaxy S2 or 3 I think. I can see what the capacity is if you might want to use it as a music storage.

Been awhile since I Have had mine. But if memory serves the radios are a "black box" mounted under the fairing, the cassette deck hole may be large enough to find a radio with what you want included. but you will most certainly have to build some brackets as the current radios sit sort of in a horizontal position vs the cassette deck position at say a 40 something degree angle. Plus your handlebar control will not be able to be used.

Folks @dliddle and I met up the other day when I delivered some parts to him. We talked a spell about Leesburg Bikefest this upcoming weekend 4/29. Rough plan was to be in Leesburg about 10am Sat morning. Preliminary are to meet was the drill team demo are by Rats Hole. Still working out our travel plans and KSU times. He was planning on coming across SR 64 to US 27 where I'll meet up and then head north. I'm awaiting confirmation from him as to any changes and his departure times as he is picking up a friend along the way. [h=1][/h]

I'm going over to Bradenton Fri for a Dr appointment. Also along the way dropping off a relay kit and carb sync I dont need anymore. I forget the fellows name rite this minute. But I will tell him about our happy little group. lol I too am going to ride up to Leesburg next weekend. SiverT usually the winter is more um desirable for the rides due to temps. Barry, Steve and I are just crazy. We will ride about anytime.

I used mine twice this winter. LOL I will say that now I have them it is nice when you want a little warmth. I have noticed it helps not have cramps or sore hands when it get cooler.

Well yea on the manual trans. But thats why any more you see a lot of little 4wd jobs. Not many vehicles are even made with a stick. So they buy 4wd and throw the transfer case in neutral.

+1 on the drive shaft. Exactly what I was thinking. When you tow a car behind say an RV you have to disengage the drive shaft, because the constant turning without the normal lubrication kills the bearings/bushings.

Pretty sure no insurance company is going to carry anything beyond liability on a title marked salvage. Also absolutely no resale value, but he does have piece of mind of mechanical condition of vehicle. And that mean a lot to me anyways on a daily driver. I could give 2 shakes what it looks like. My old 96 RAM 2500 looks like crap, but I dont worry to much about folks pulling out in front of me or infringing on my space neither.

Yea it was tight. I think I drilled a hole in the plastic inner fender and used a 10x32 screw to hold it there. As far as securing the fuse block if you put it in the trunk you can use the gorilla velcro stuff. Still need a hole for wires, and a grommet. What if you used the velcro to just stick it to the bottom of the trunk up out of the way and hidden.
