Yea check the fine print. I think I saw on the front of the jug or maybe the web site. I think it was 20K. But like most service intervals "under perfect conditions".

True enough. But in my world $15 for an oil filter is a bit much. -

I have 2 helmets. A Bell Mag 9 and a Scorpion shorty. I use to wear the shorty a lot when I traveled 90 miles back and forth to airport for work. But on trips I always use the Bell, its a 3/4. I'm just so use to the Bell now and having the clear shield and drop down sun shade is nice. Shorty gloves some and some perforated leather jobs some. I have a mesh Tourmaster jacket I wear often but not all the time. I also have a neon green mesh vest I tend to wear or some of those neon green arm sleeves to keep sun off my arms.

Now I'm looking foolish. Typically they don't go bad, but ya never know and its an easy place to start. Glad you fixed it. -
I use CRC contact/tuner cleaner on the round connectors under the fairing. There are a couple bundles of 5 pin round connectors. If they are corroded looking you may want to try to scrape them with maybe a small flat screw driver to clean them. Then some dielectric grease to keep them from corroding.

LOL yea who'da thunk after the heat we have had it would be a BEAUTIFUL mid 70 deg day in Fla. Glad some of the ladies got to talk and share some stories and info. Will have to do it again. Barry hope you didnt get caught up in the traffic jam on 75 I saw on the news when we were @ my sisters due to forest fires again. For kind of a short notice deal it worked out really well. I'm surprised they didnt come over and throw us out, or charge us rent. Barry sent you an e-mail with info on that GPS map making program.

Man this was discussed over a year ago. Someone here mentioned it and I had just changed my oil. Sure enough I had one of the "bad" filters. I am using the WIX 51356 from O'reilly's. I went to Advance and opened I bet 8 boxes and every one of them was convex (dish to top vs bottom) I think on the RSV I went the Mobil 1 route at the time. -

I have been buying relays for 2 or 3 years now building my by pass rig. They just about all come from China. Got a shipment made in Taiwan but I think everything else is China. I over like 200 I have had 1 DOA and another crap out somewhere over 6-8 months after it was in use. So they will go bad, but it sounds to me as though you have something leaving a circuit live. -
Well if you think its the pump, pop the line off on the carb side and see if it will pump fuel. The contacts are built into the pump. They can be replaced, but it is a "wear" item and will eventually go bad again probably. I swapped mine out for a MR gasket 42 pump. Solid state low psi. If you take the line off the pump should pump for maybe a minute or so, then off, then on cycling.

Count 2 in from Sebring.

Even going back to the pic. It could be a V-4 with some tricky exhaust pipe work, say the left side pipe would be the rear cyl and the right side the fronts? If those bags are all usable they should be fine and good amount of room. I love the Vision but the bags as big as they look, room is sparse.

Most white letter tires only have exposed letters on one side. So guys like me when they buy those tires can put them to the inside. Now @ one time the "black" side has white under those letters. The manufacture has a machine that removes just a small amount of the black and reviles the white. What you can do is get a white paint pen and color the letters on the other side. I would just go the other way and paint the white ones black. I cant tell you the last time I cleaned the rear wheel. And my bags have quick disconnects.

Without digging into the wire diagram, I seem to remember the horn system is goofy. It has power all the time and the switch actually makes a ground in the system. Mine (a stebel) would occasionally get that sick cow sound. Slow start then be OK. I would once in a great while shoot a fog of WD in the horn and it seemed to help. -
Any soap that degreases is OK. The specific cleaner, dawn, purple power should all work fine. As far as the oil goes, you probably stay with the oils made for filters. Regular pertolium based products have a tendency to eat rubber type items. I have myself used WD40 on the filters before. But I now stay with the K&N stuff and also have a can of PJ1 I think it is or Kal Gaurd

GRRR Thought I would update the firmware of the SENA SMH10. So I plug one of the units in and the software says there is an update from the 2.4 or whatever version I currently had. So updated to newest version. Then connected to SENA unit did whatever was needed, then it tells me something like the unit is not compatible with the update. Went thru this a couple times and cant get them to update. So I'll just leave them the hell alone. What a PIA.

Hmm So why would I trade? EFI-check AM-FM-Bluetooth-Check Heated seat and grips-Check ABS-Check Reverse-option -
Yes a V-twin can and are water cooled. My Kawasaki 900 was water cooled, as is the bolt and some others. They will turn lots of miles, and "new" technology has knocked out the vibrations of old HD lore. My air cooled Victory is pretty smooth, and motor is part of intrigal frame design and dont jump around like the rubber mounted HD. The Kawasaki Voyager is V-twin water cooled and pretty smooth from what guys tell me although they have been known to have heat issues. I think IF Yammi get back in a full touring dresser field it will probably be water cooled V-twin. Just my .02, Why they dont take the V-max or FJR motor and build around it is beyond common sense. Those motors are bullit proof and proven.

Well for now, I think I'm going to go with the addition of a 3.5mm switching connector. I'll have to open the unit, solder a couple wires up and mount this thing. But it will allow speakers to work if I chose to use those, or plug in earbuds and use those. I have been looking @ 40mm drivers (speakers) replacement types for like Bose headsets. I can get those for about $20-25 a pair. The size would make them same diameter as the SENA's. On a side note, did you guys know Radio Shack has closed their brick and mortar stores.

Those are a way big step up from what we use to have when we motorcycle camped. A trailer, dome tent (they were kind of new then) air mattress and a camp stove. But as nice as those new jobs look, the boss aint gonna sign off on one. No indoor plumbing.

I read up on some mods today. One fellow changed to some old J&M speakers from a GW set up he had. But the speakers he had listed I could not find anywhere on the site. I looked at a couple of the speakers they do have and for like $40 ea I think there may be better options. Some called an X3 or something are high dollar, over $100 I think maybe for my helmet I'm just going to go with the 3.5mm jack so I can run ear buds when I want good sound, and maybe just use the speakers already installed around town etc. May have to think about the wifes for awhile before I do something.

Had a Dowco and it is a good cover for my smaller cruiser. Kind of the mid range price range. I now have a Nelson Rigg cover was like a 80 buck cover and has lasted me probably 5yr of many weeks in the Fla sun at the airport. Just noticed it is starting to dry rot in a couple spots. I am kind of looking for a new one.
