Anyone have info on FOBO system? It has monitors for wheel, but your phone or Ipod is your screen. It can send out a warning to your wireless headset if you are so equipped.

Yamaha probably sold rites to tool to KD or Lisle. They make the majority of automotive specialty tools.

Yea I saw something on VH1 or Paladia or somewhere a year or so ago on him. He was looking pretty ill then really. Guys from that era are all almost gone. Some went at a really young age, they lived hard. Like they were 8 ft tall and bullet proof. There are some good bands coming along in their footsteps. Black Berry Smoke comes to mind and a young guy Chris something I think.

Shell Rotella T6 is full syn oil and can be bought from Wally World for about $21 a gallon. Oil filters are getting kind of prickly. Purolator changed their design up a year or so back. The Mobil1 I think it M101 is a good filter as is the wix which is a bit less. There is a thread here about the purolator filter no longer fitting. It will explain what to look for.

Here is link for XP patch.

I just looged in to Yahoo to check mail and saw where one of the members of a great Souther Rock Icon band passed away. Greg Allman of the Allman Brothers band passed away @ 69. This is probably one of the number one bands I listened to as a teen and have dug them ever since.

Flat one is for FJ 1200. Same as whats in a legends car and some dwarf cars. The RSV uses the same shims, but you need the hook looking one for the Venture. I guess I should dig mine out and throw some shims together and make a package deal..

My thoughts is V-Twin. They already have a big inch one they can put in it. Hopefully would have useful sized bags, so low pipes. A frame mounted fairing would be a plus. What if it had a pair of those oval pistons that Honda tried back in the 70's or 80's in thier GP bikes? Would that qualify as a V-4? Puc probably knows which one I talkin about.

You all need to share your drugs. I sure as heck cant see nuttin in those psyco pics. You can "think" your seeing something, but the pink rabbit aint there. I have a friend on the "other" Yamaha site that got tired of all the years and years of drama. He just bought the GW. Pretty cuss, its black and silver. I have not seen any like his.

Here ya go folks. A bit pricy but they work GREAT. I had a couple when I had the race car. Heck of a lot easier to fill and dispense. And if your car has one of them lazy mans gas caps you can shove the hose in and fill it without holding a funnel, the can and your breath.

June may be tough for me depending. First weekend we have a neighborhood garage sale, second weekend is a Grand daughter B-day party @ our house. If things work in my favor the 3rd I may be on the road back from Wis. But so far this aint looking very promising.

I always ran the longer version filter on my 2nd gen. My thought is more filter media has to be good. And full syn oil. Usually Rotella T6 -
Apply for patented first, then send note to update. I have reverse occasionally too. She rides on back.

Just a couple thoughts on names. It seems now a days marketing companies, TV shows and a bunch more lack any imagination. Look over Fords way. They had a Galaxie 500 back in the olden days. Then when they started to phase out the Crown Vic (Oh yea another name that was brought back) Taurus was the "new" car. they tried changing it up and called it? The 500 imaginative huh. Dodge same thing resurrected the Dart name on some econo box because they didnt think Fart would sell to good. So my thoughts are they will stay with a name that will be recognizable and maybe add to it. Venture Journey or Journey Venture Besides something like Pathfinder would have to be an Indian rite?

Dont know about how the first gens ar on shedding rain. but the second gens my experience unless its a frog choker I never really needed rain boot covers. Using the type of boots you have mentioned (combat) if you keep them polished up and use some mink oil on them they will shed water fine. I also last year started to use the "camp dry" stuff on the new boots being as they have the mesh/material sides to them instead of 100% leather sides. I use the same on my chaps. A spray or two the day before we leave and let dry.

I'm not a steel toe boot fan, but thats my choice and goes back a long ways. So on ward. I bought a nice pair of mid calf slip on boots, good fit but I found out after some rides I forgot the soles are leather. Its OK but with the hot pavement, sand oils etc they can be slippery at stop lights. SO I bought a pair of Bates side zip boots. Basically they are the same type of combat boot I had in the USAF. I see they do make a composite toe also. I have been looking towards some vented pants for longer trips. 2 good places to shop that I have had good service from is Jafrum and Cycle Gear, CG has brick and mortar stores all over so you can go in touch and feel products.

Got an oil change due on the Vic soon. I will need to go get my parts so I'll try to post and let you all know what I find. -
A couple things. All of the above. Also check the book to see what is window for difference. Usually around 10-12% high to low. After the first compression test all around, do a "wet" compression test. A little oil maybe a 1/2 teaspoon per cyl and roll it over again. If they come up to allowable range it would indicate rings. As mentioned, if the valves are out of adjustment they would "hang" open some and lower compression on those cyl. Dont panic yet, low milage, any reason to think something major is not a worry yet.

The RSV manual I had I think said 5k on oil changes. I ran full syn oil and would run 6 sometimes 7 k. The Rotella t6 is cheap enough I dont feel real bad about 5k oil changes and I do run the longer filter also.
