  1. No power could be a couple things. Both have been mentioned. If main fuse has lost continuity no power can make it to the switch. But what caused the fuse to blow? I can also go with Pucs theory. Usually when the charging system goes out to lunch you can notice erratic lights goes dim then brite, or engine will begin to miss and lack of power then DOA.
  2. I know this is not close to you, but hey price caught my eye. Maybe an hour and half from my house. 2009 Can Am
  3. Puc, I got involved in the CanAm thread there and was looking down this way in Fla. Then along comes this "for sale" ad. It looks like your bag.
  4. Steve I'm asking around for John on Delphi. I think he does have 2 threads very close on there for some reason. He is located in Midland Mi.
  5. WOW them Harley guys are tuff. Ridin one of them cookers in shorts. Braver then me. I wouldn't have no skin left.
  6. When I lived in Oklahoma, if it was visible you could carry side arm. Where I was it was common to see folks with a side are off and on. Lot of ranches and farms. Could not carry in banks and court house. So whats the insurance your talking about for?
  7. No I don't know where the diode is. I assume your talking the one that is in the side stand circuit? I don't know why there is even one there Best I can tell the circuit grounds to the ECM. Your guess is about as good as mine. Somewhere in the fuse box area in center there makes sense.
  8. Hmm even though your bike is "out of production" as is mine (Victory) I don't see a nice for them to fit in.
  9. Back in my day.........You could poke fun and make jokes and you better be ready to get some back. Back in my day.........You could complement a lady and not worry about getting sued. Now your "harassing them"
  10. Man Dan it just seems to come in waves sometimes. Sorry for his issues and we will pray all works out. Sounds to me like 1 dead nobody hurt.
  11. I would say half or more of the guys I know that have the tour styled HD, street glide, ultra, electra and heritage type bikes. They seem pretty content with tearing the valve train apart @30k or so to replace lifters, push rods and valve parts. I'm like really that's only 4 or 5 oil changes or 2 years if you ride it instead or trailer it everywhere. Now that I'm over on the Victory forums, I have not heard of any major engine issues. Some of those guys are well over 100k + But all the 106 bikes have oil coolers on them also.
  12. Instant off. Just like cut switch off. So I and others are pretty sure its electrical. He jumpered the side stand switch today, and has put 150 miles on it. So far so good. You know I was looking at the tip over switch in the wire diagram last night and wondering that. And oddly enough some of the Victory's have a problematic issue with a tip over.
  13. I am kind of helping a fellow out that is having an intermittent stall problem. He has a good fuel pump in it, (few weeks old) and just had the ignition switch out and checked it and cleaned the contacts. No rhyme or reason to it or pattern I have been able to pick up on. Will be riding and bike cuts off, will refire right back. So I have suggested by pass/jumper the handle bar kill switch. Also we have talked about the kick stand switch, but does that not only have something to do with start only? I'm kind of running out of ideas and leaning towards the pick up.
  14. I didn't like the small washers on mine. So I went to hardware store and got some fender washers to help displace the force.
  15. Steve, do we have to be nice to them for a little while to get info before we start treating them like family, and picking on them?

    Eclipse

Local news around here was sayin the welding helmet would not provide the correct filtering. But I had a class of students at the time today anywho. It was a weird shade though here in central Fla too. It reminded me of when the football stadium lights are just starting up.
  17. Yup I have been on the octain merry go round threads before. It is true the higher octain burns "slower" which is why typicaly they dont spark knock. Some of the reasons they run what they do is emissions. Faster burning fuel can give them "cleaner" burn. Depending on how long it sits you could run 87 and for winter storage fill with non ethanol.
  18. Yea that kind of stupidity is amazing. So typically I will say us folks on scoots pay WAY more attention to what we are doing then cages. So some joker in a cage comes along texting his girl friend and BOOM.
  19. Most of the time Motorcycle Super store has the best price for me. The E-3 are on the way out as Dunlap has released the E 4. I had good mileage out of the Michelin Commander 2, Price wise the Shinkos are a bargain, good traction and I thought the wear was decent for the price.
  20. If you want to make miles, you got a good bike for that. The Wide Whites look good there. Best part about them are they are on your bike, not mine. LOL I hate white walls, I turn them in on my cars if the tires come that way. Enjoy your ride.
  21. I would be pretty sure Indian had a tent there. There aint an SAE bolt one on that bike. Of course I understand the Motor Company bikes are getting some metric stuff mixed in on some bikes also.
  22. I think it's easier to use the pure gas app and find non-E10 fuel or just go the the airport and get some "can gas" Av gas 110 low lead. I use to run it all the time in my legends car and other race cars. Benn a while but I actually think it was cheaper than the local marina.
  23. What about a solar charger. How much charge rate do you need.
  24. I don't think the RK pipes will fit further back than like 05. I can be wrong, but are the pipes on this bike stacked over under? Is there baffles in them? Maybe just need new packing.
  25. I had a pair like these mounted on my crash bars just above the clamps for the highway pegs. I have a pair just like them mounted on my Victory now. They work pretty well with an extra light looking towards me for cages to see me. And they supply light at night when aimed right towards the road and the edge where I put them. Being LED they don't suck a lot of power either. If you get them off e-bay sort thru as there are different lumens (brightness) available.
