  1. Victory sells saddlebag lids with speakers in them. Pretty sure thats what they are doing is marine grade. HD makes some also. So your not the first to look into it.
  2. That looks like an accident waiting to happen. Probably about the same to back as a hay wagon. Which I never figured out.
  3. What about >system>display>resolution That should adjust the size of icons etc

    gas price

I use an app called Gas Buddy to check out gas prices if I'm going on a trip. Our local prices have been pretty steady since say June or so. $2.35 to around 2.45 or so. Few pennies up or down. I think mid summer was high 2.40ish.
  5. A good bit of that would hold true for Oklahoma also. Although our DQ did stay open year round
  6. Emergency use maybe. Might be OK as an addition to a tool kit, but I wouldnt want to use as first defense in my tool box.
  7. I thought J&P was still family owned. I had noticed lately that most of my Motorcycle Super Store stuff had a J&P logo and stuff with it. This looks to be a pretty bad deal. Like Steve said man this will cause a huge hole in aftermarket parts. They will surely have to cut some of these companies that double up on the same stuff out. I can see Tucker Rocky staying as the ADV cycle market seems to be one of the strongest. Kury will probably live on. But you have to wonder about Roland Sands and some of the other fluff brands included in the group.
  8. Down here in Fla this is the best 3 months to ride. Cooler temps. Summer can get nasty like this past summer. High 90's it seemed from May til October.
  9. Just looked on e-bay. 64gb i phone 4 goes for around $60. I would have to go look to see what mine is. But I know just before our trip in Oct I built a playlist with over 4hr of music, and I have 3 or 4 more that have a couple hours each on them. I still got space.
  10. 5g for that rig is a bit steep in my book too. Put 5k with what you have to trade and may have a pretty nice rig. There is a couple big big RV dealers up by where you are.
  11. No mention of price. But I think I would put it on a short list if I was in the market depending on the $$. Its not a V-Twin but hey....... LOL
  12. Toy hauler is the way we have been looking to start. Room to store bike. Plus makes a bonus room, bed room or porch when parked.
  13. WOW I was under the impression RO was "the" balance system. I have been using the beads. I know 2 different schools of thought.
  14. Nice color to boot. I think Barrycuda has one of them. Can you tow another trailer behind the 5er? I see it in some states but I dunno what the rules are from state to state/Provence. I see bike trailers on craigs list off and on for around $500 that look decent.
  15. I also would think the product as it gets colder would be less liquid until it gets a bit tossed around. Kind of like the old nylon tires would thump until a few miles and belts warmed up.
  16. Yammer Send me an email with the specifics. Year make model engine and trans type if you know. I have access to the data you need at school. If I can copy the info I'll send you info. PM would work too but I'll probably get the email quicker.
  17. OMG How do you get all that weight,(bike, trailer and hack) stopped in a reasonable space?
  18. My 96 (also a 12v cummins) takes like 11 Qt plus filter. Any of these bigger filters like the FL1 that I can stand filter up so oil dont run out I fill with oil prior to installation. It takes valuable time to pump it full with engine.
  19. No Beuno. Photobucket clogged up accounts here a few months ago. If you no pay, you no can link.
  20. Good to hear from you Mike. Sorry things are not going smoothly for you. With the hurricane damage, I kind of understand the whole insurance thing. Hope to see you at a meet and eat when we get one together. Keep working at it.
  21. Yea and the truck is pushing probably twice the air.
  22. I just had to buy another while on our trip to Tn and NC. My Nelson Rigg blew out first night up there. LOL It was like 5-6 yr old. Had a small rip when I put it on Sun night. Monday morning it had a tear from front to back seam. I had to go with a XXL to get it over trunk on the Victory Cross Country, thats the same size I had for the RSV.
  23. Is that Willie after one of our past presidents?
  24. I have a couple sets I use. I bought a pair of foam ear buds for the wife when we had the Venture. One pair I use a bunch are a pair of Sony ear buds. It does take a bit to get used to fitting helmet without knocking them out. The others are molded ear buds I had for my radio @ work. I dont use those a lot as I guess Im afraid they will knock out to much side noise. Ear foams I think is one of the companies that makes them. Also if you want I think I have an adapter you can plug in so you can use earbuds along with a regular headset on the RSV.
  25. While the lowers on my cross country add to the "touring" look of mine, I like the air flow without them. I put them back on for our trip a few weeks back mainly for storage and wind protection in case it got cold. I really miss being able to use my tank bag on trips.
