Full blown here in Fla. 80+ 20 mph winds one day. Then tornado watches and pouring rain. If I didnt know better I would think I was still in Oklahoma.

I loved that movie. I can remember seeing it at the drive in wben in high school. That was first time I ever saw flat track racing.

Was reading there is a firmware update for GPS. BUT reports are it has bugs. So folks are waiting for a new one. It may be out by now as my info is about 4 weeks old.

Ran really hot today

Couple things would be thermostat. Next would be to make sure it is flowing once thermostat opens. I would have to do a little looking but some systems require bleeding because the fill port is lower than system basicly. -
Help! On side of road and gas coming up from under gas cap
djh3 replied to Phishhead61's topic in Watering Hole
The 2nd gen would get a clogged hose. Bugs or daubers just plug up and no vent then it has to vent somewhere and the seal on cap is next. -
I have taken ours to a tax professional for years. Traveling for work, expenses, mileage etc it was worth it. But 2 years ago she kind of went flaky, was hard to find and got things done in time but I started in Feb and didnt get a hold of her till April. So last year I gave up and found another guy. This year no travel related and we decided to use a "free" turbo tax. So by the time wife gets done inputting everything our free tax return is $50 or so. Too boot she did some comparing this year to last years and I got screwed out of a couple hundred bucks. So I guess he was not working in our best interest. Dont know if we are going to re-file the 2016 or not.

Unfortunatly its a couple weeks early for me. Classes are not done until the 16th I think it is. I really want to hit the road on a long trip.

So once again someone is subjected to something perpetrated by someone who is committing illegal act that should not be here. Here illegally for 3yrs, no insurance (which I am paying for to cover my azz if he hits someone uninsured motorist) and not licenced to drive. What will they do with him? MAYBE give him room and board for a few months and let him stay as a "dreamer" ?

Car proximity sensors do very much what they say on the tin – they sense when your vehicle gets close to an object. ... Electromagnetic sensors create an electromagnetic field around the bumper, and offer an alert whenever objects enter it So Whats your chance of just temp slave in a couple wires and mount them on the bracket under the light bar. Should be easy to make a bracket and hide wires. Temporarily use zip tie or something and see if will work.

Yea we dont see what lead up to this exchange. Did the car cut him off? Did the car follow to close or something at a previous stop light? Biker bears some responsibility for actions also I think we agree. Clearly a 2 wrongs dont make a rite. Sucks we have to ride like everyone is out to kill us. Guy was lucky he missed that big ole concrete utility pole.

Got my quote back from the MRA place. It is Progressive and is something like 20-30 month less than Dairyland. So got that all firmed up and got to thinking, wonder if she can do me any good on my cars. So got a quote back again from Progressive and its going to save me over 160 every 6 months. So over all a switch is going to save me close to 500 a year.

Acts like a fuel problem
djh3 replied to venturerider09's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I make the by pass relay for the 2nd gen venture. They are plug and play, it goes sort of in between the bike harness and the OEM ignition switch. If your handy you can take the OEM switch apart and clean the contacts up, install my relay and more than likely never have an issue on that side again. The OEM type fuel pumps are trouble waiting to happen, they have points in them and get burned or corroded. Some have replaced them and repaired the pump. My 09 did what sounds like the same thing, one time be riding down road all is well. 10 min later blaaah and dead on side of road, wait 10 min I guess the pump cooled down and it may be find the rest of day. I replaced mine with a Mr Gasket solid state pump. see here http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?86265-Mr-Gasket-Fuel-Pump-Conversion- 14 replies

My experience with used vehicles on the open market, while not vast is you need a bit of luck. Someone has to be looking for the gem you have for sale, especially "classic" vehicles.

Dont want to poke around to much. They pull a credit check everytime you get a quote and then it pulls your rating down.

Well it is time again for my yearly insurance rip off, ur um I mean renewal time. I have been with Dairyland for a couple years now, ever since Geico jumped my rates like $150 from the previous year. So dairyland sends me the bill for my insurance. Same coverage as last year, I carry way more than the minimums Which I guess is 10k/20k. I carry 100/300 property liability off 100 vs 10k. So Dairyland want over $730 a jump of $146 from last year. So I was watching some motorcycle videos the other nite and an ad shows up something about bike insurance from a MRA (motorcycle riders insurance) they are in Lakeland here in Fla but deal nationwide as far as I can tell. Their quote for actually some areas higher coverage is less than $50 a year. So do you all think this is to go to be true? It sure is making me think about switching. Has anyone delt with them before? I cant find anything on BBB site.

I liked the Shinko. I ran the 130 up front and had lowered the forks in the front triple tree and it was fine. I would think lowering the front (so I could touch ground) and raising the rear would be the same.

Ah much more advanced than my old version then.

For me both base camp and mapsource took a lot of fidigiting. Could be just my patience level. Tyre select a start way point boom it finds it, select end boom. Now the calculator button and therea your route. If you want to adjust you can either drag like in google maps or insert another way point. Steve I wish my S T did gpx files. Down side for me on S T is you do have to insert a waypoint if you want say a different road from "automatic" route, where tyre you can drag and drop. I guess its all whay you get use to. I like that S T will add in breaks and gas stops and add to total route times when you look at overall route.

As I have mentioned before. My Victory calls for 91, does it get it all the time? AH nope I forget all the time except for my 2 strokes all my scoots have been regular gas. What it does mess with is ignition and therefore the emissions. Is your regular fuel bike going to die if using premium? Probably not. Us old motor heads were of the school of thought high test burned hotter/better. When actually it is opposite. Lower grade fuel burns quicker so to speak and higher grade fuels have a higher ignition point thus takes more to get it to burn. But if I remember right burns more completely when it gets going.
