  1. I dont have that particular cable, but I do have connectors you can repair yours with.
  2. judging by the weather front that has been hanging out down around the mid central states and this last tropical storm, I would be surprised if anyone gets there with out a wet spot or too.
  3. Yes here is a link to home depot for it. It comes in all sorts of colors. I painted a half helmet Hi Viz yellow a few years back. Other than where I am always handling it to take on or off it looks decent. If you dont like it you can peel it off. It has not been as easy as on the you tube videos for me.
  4. From what I have read, the chock needs to be fastened to the floor. The backing down the ramp would worry me. What if you could decrease the angle of the door with additional length? WE have looked at toy haulers for a couple years now. Love to have one, but just can convince ourselves we will use it enough.
  5. plasti dip is pretty popular. I painted a helmet with it and it dont look to bad. It does have sort of a stippled or bumpy look though.
  6. They run rampant here in fla especially Tampa Bay area it seems. CALL credit card company imediatly if you aint already. Always use debit card as credit, there is somehow extra protection there. When we are ojt of town we have a regular credit card we use for purchases.
  7. Yea My Victory XCT best hwy was 45 I think. The onboard computer said 48 or 49, must use that new math stuff or something. Round town and I mean my trip to work and back is like 12 miles under 60 mph. Usualy 36-37. Highway 2 up no gear 41. If I was lookin for MPG Id a bought a smart car.
  8. On the slab a couple hours I'm usually out of gas and ready to stop as is the wife. I wounder which range or combination Yamaha used for the MPG rating? Maybe they left it in the sport mode and that may account for the lower MPG.
  9. Happy Trails and safe travels guys.
  10. Well down here, unless its a jet ski or canoe not much ridin goin on. Rain since almost 2 weeks ago. Luckly I have missed it back and forth to work. Wife had my truck as her ride was AWP.
  11. Glad it seems to be getting taken care of. Aint it a shame, that now a days we have to figure someone is out to screw us instead of a mistake or screw up. Years ago we would have probably shrugged it off as "Oops".
  12. Check out a fellow on You Tube. Adam Sandaval Rides. He spent over 2 years out on the road camping with his small dog Scooter. He had some bag made by Kurakan. I have seen lots of guys over the years with a dog that rides.
  13. Would this be your bike? " Dear dealer, I am interested in this bike. Do you have a clear title?" Or maybe " Dear dealer I am interested in XYZ new bike. But I have have been reading some very illegal procedures going on at your dealership. Trades not being payed off on time, previous owners making 2 payments, one on the trade and one on the new bike. What gives?"
  14. Did not read all the threads. But my take is if your making payments you own it. There fore they have stolen your bike. File a stolen vehicle report and give the fuzz the heads up where to look for it. By the way do you need a couple half sheets of ply wood to make some signs up to put in your truck and park in front of the dealership?
  15. If you need a 5 pin plug, let me know. I have probably a half dozen. I was building some 3.5 ear phone adapters for awhile.
  16. I bought my Victory from a dealer up around Apopka Fl. Had a similar issue on tag deal. I transferred my tag from the RSV, but they charged me for a new tag. I think I had to apply for a refund thru the county the new tag was issued from. Took a bit but got it all squared out and go a refund. Now as for the not paying off trade, ouch. Good luck.
  17. Heres a tid bit I found. "Copy paper is about 0.004 inches thick" Thats pretty tight. So if you feel slack its to much. When engine warm clearance would be 0
  18. So now Im confused more. Is tber a required valve adjustment for the new Venture? At that .0016 in I wouldnt have any feeler gauges that work. Not sure I could find any either.
  19. I might be confused a bit. But them there valve clearances seem a bit tight. Maybe 1 to many zeros? .016? sixteen thousandths. Dont really matter to me, the Vic is hydraulic.
  20. I hope you get'er turned over before you try to ride it. But it probably is easier to check the tires that way. Enjoy your new ride and be safe.
  21. No problem man your welcome. Flat rate for that would be probably a minimum .4, I'll send ya a bill.
  22. Thats a nice really close up, but I cant really tell squat tread wise from that pic. Sorry. Where is the puncture? Middle or sidewall area? If it's in the center part dismount and patch it. I was just on another Yamaha forum and a fellow was asking about replacement tires. Look like your kinda stuck if you stay with the 55 series tire. But if you go to a 60 you get way more options.
  23. I got some large rubber washers and fender washers from the hardware store. It displaced the fore holding in a wider area. Also if someone put a taller windshield on a second gen he must have been Paul Bunion.
  24. Maybe disconnect the4 battery and see if it will reset and stop the loop. If it dont reset and get going I'd be making an appointment
  25. Yup. Its called a second gen. Man we loved that seat.
