I liked mine real well. I thought it was well constructed and stout. I also liked you had 4 screw to split it if need be.

I think they look sharp. Definatly different fro others. I like the idea of the "dot" lite. Now you got to fess up where you found them.

You have to watch how much wattage you run in these. They are rated @ 35w. If you put the 55w in and dont upgrade the wiring its probably going to melt it. The wires are not big enough to carry that load. You want brighter your probably going to have to go LED. I swapped mine out to Alure or something like that. They have H3 bulbs that go into the back like the old KC High lites. Still 35w or your flirting with problems.

I just changed the rearend lube 1 oil change ago to syn. I hate to just chuck it out. I got a couple weeks before I'm going to tackle the job. Thanks for the heads up on the spedo pick up guys. Is the shaft held in with anything? Or is it simply held in place by the gearhousing? I was thinking for some reason I saw the front part of the drive shaft out and it had a snap ring on it.

On my last bike 07 Kawasaki 900 vulcan It gave no warning. I went out one day to start and it engaged starter more than just the click noise. But second time nothing. I cleaned terminals still nothing. checked it with volt meter 0. So I took it down to be checked it was DOA. I think it was about maybe 4yr old then.

Yea me too. I cant belive nobody has tried something other than the star ones.

So on the homemade job you have the 4 tubes with a fluid. I was actually thinking of using a pice of PVC at the bottom and putting 4 ports in it, same idea as the T fittings I supose. Anyways when all 4 carbs are hooked up, what keeps the engine from just sucking the fluid straight into the vacuum port? Or is it if you balance out the vacuum between cyl even the pressure is even so no one cyl can draw the fluid?

Yea sometimes when firing it up we had to use gas to get it to light the first time after itting a week or so. I ran aviation gas in mine. Still pretty ruff on rubber stuf though. Well the burocrats are all college edumacated and been studyin up for alot of years so they got to be smarter than us rite? Send them all packing in Nov. Let them try to get a job in this economy.

I know most here hate the e 15 or e85 whatever they call it where your at. I dont care for it because it drys out seals etc. As far as performance goes our bikes are carb's right. I know for a fact that we rran carb'd race cars off straight ethanol and they made way more power and ran cooler. Didnt get the milage of gas but still they ran fine actually cooler. It requires some carb tuning but could be done. But if the carbs are tuned for alchol and then you run gas I think its way to fat (rich) but if all the gas goes to e85 why cant the carbs be tuned to run it?

If you knew how much of the moly lube he had on his hands, you would know this was a dirty story.

So did you pull the drive shaft all the way out and lube up both ends? I have an upcomming tire change comming on m 09 RSV, I figure while I got the rear off I'm going to split the unit and lube the splines on both ends if it is not a huge PIA. I am guessing that if I unbolt the 3-4 bolts @ the rear gear drive that unit is sealed and all my gear lube is self contained and not going to run out. Going to do the drive pins on the rear wheel also as..... well hell I'm here and dressed. The front I'm mounting up is the 130/90 and stock size rear, both in the Michelin Commander II. We have a trip planned in mid Oct to Franklin NC area and will mount up prior to trip to have good shoes on bike.

Checvy has a commercial now I'm sure you have seen. I guy drives in to a dealer in whats suposed to be a newer Camary. they "kid" saleman says something snide about his "old" car. Then goes on about the new chevy. Goes back looking at car and another salesperson comes up and asks what hes doing. He says looking for a cassette deck. First time I laughed pretty hard, now I'm thinking about getting a group together to protest and sue them for indicating because something has a cassette player its old and out of touch. We should win right? I mean if you can buy a cup of coffee, spill it on yourself and then sue because its hot, how can we be wrong?

Sounds like maybe you could run your planned route backwards. While your in eastern NC storm should blow thru interior NC and TN maybe. I have'nt looked at WX yet this am.

Well farm diesel is red aint it? Also it dont conform to the "low sulpher" rules either I belive. But still I get what your saying. Its sort of like the cash for clunkers thing. Took perfectly good cars folks had and crushed them, put them in debt in the name of "cleaning" the environment. I really dont think I need the governments help like this.

Saw a Victory a couple years ago @ Daytona painted sort of like that and had WW II aircraft markings on it. The color is definatly different from production stuff. Looks good.

Something like this? http://www.mutazu.com/images/extras/HL%20Top%20Rails/thumbs/th_IMG_1238.JPG I kind of thought these might work better, not as flat. http://www.mutazu.com/images/extras/MU%20Top%20Rails/thumbs/th_IMG_022.JPG Size: 13"x5 7/8" These are the JM racks. http://www.mutazu.com/images/extras/jm_toprack/thumbs/th_JM%20top%20racks.JPG Dont have a measurement for them. Bags measure 25"x 7.5 wide. I think the RS bags look closest to ours. Dont look like they make a rack for them though.

Sure dont know where you would hide all that stuff though. You would probably loose 5 mph when you used it too. But man would it ever get their attention. Maybe if you had a trike I could see hiding it.

Unless the thing is busted into a couple of pieces, the way I read it there should be 2 items in the package.

So far here in central Fla @ 9:30p Sun not much more than rain. And not hard driving like expected either.
