  1. but if its a "legit" best of..... alblum from say RCA or whomever it should be the same as the orginal alblum. That is strange. I need to redo my MP3's I have. Some play loud, some you can baerly hear and some play and all of a sudden quit and go to next song. I read somewhere what I needed to do, but it involved completly re-recoding everything. A task I have not felt like doing.
  2. Sort of my line of thought too if you dont find one. there are different mylar coverings available also. I bought some in a carbon fiber look and covered some panels I had made for a mustang gt and also my other bike.
  3. Hmm so you had something that worked fine and the apple people fixed it. Now you have to go backwards tech to the way the rest of us play music. Aint tech great.
  4. For the most part that generation of Sprint Cup car are pretty generic body wise. The nose and tail pieces are different. Also alot of times the drive deals like that all use the same motor. They may say one thing on the hood but it could be chevy powered. Depends on what kind of deal they have going. While 173 is fast to the vast majority of us, its hard to imagine they are actually averaging almost 3 mph more when they race, and INCHES apart. no wonder when someone hic-ups it get ugly real fast. Hope you had a good time. My wife got to do the same thing at Disney speedway and her sheet had her laps at 130 plus for like a 1 mile track.
  5. Here is the Yamaha available accessory. Pricey little bugger. $234 and dont include the i-pod.
  6. I have seen some kind of a unit that plugs into the c-bus connector for the CD player that allows you to connect you i-thingys. But a MP3 player unless you want to just plug into the aux input by cassette player the mentioned unit is your only option, to have control of tracks etc at finger tip. The other option is to get whatever the "new" unit is that Yamaha put on the 2013 Venture. But there again its I-pod.
  7. Actually Fl just finnished some kind of Python snake hunt thing down here. I was going to to look up the stats. The news the other night said they caught like 50 snakes. Not nearly enough to put a dent in the dang things. Ever since Andrew the thingsd have over run the everglades and are moving wherever they want to find food.
  8. I have used the micro-toggle switches from radio shack. Not lighted but they have different colored little rubber ends that go on the switch. Very small and easy to hide. Take like a 1/4" hole to mount.
  9. I had a 900 Vulcan that I put a Memphis shades phatt windshield on. I really liked it. But after a couple years of more highway riding and just general touring I decided I wanted a bat wing fairing. So I also changed. Thats the nice thing is we are able to change things up some.
  10. Mine came with dunlap E-3. When I changed tires last summer I went with the Michelin Commander II's. I like the tread pattern better as the grooves go past center and I am concerned with water dispersal in rain. The E-3 grooves dont do that. Normally I was getting tires for my Kawasaki 900 from Motorcycle Superstore as they had best deal on the tires I was buying. Jake wilson had the best prices last go around. Most of the online retailers will price match. I had very good luck on the 900 with Pirelli MT66.
  11. My son has a set of sockets that look like that. His came from Lowes I think. Kobalt tools. Actually they are pretty handy as they are hollow in center of socket so you dont need deep socket as the bolt will go thru center of socket.
  12. I'm using the Valvoline equivalant to the Mobil 1. Its what I had left over from my Legends car.
  13. +1 Masterguns on the strap to the floorboard idea. I kept seeing the put in saddlebag, I'm already cramped for space there even solo usualy. but the floorboard is a good idea if solo. Was planning a trip up thru Canada maybe this year and not sure about availability of gas on some of the route I was looking at. I have like a 1.5 gal can already. I had read over on the Kawasaki boards a couple years back a fellow on a Concours said he uses somesort of colapsable mile jug or something like that and it fits into his saddlebag. He lined it with thin foam.
  14. I thought this was going to be thread about the Pope throwing in the towel.
  15. Wannarsv-see that was'nt so hard was it? LOL I had the standard bulbs like yours. Found pair of alure halogens on e-bay I picked up for less than what one LED would have been. but it got some moisture in it after a long ride in rain. Next day the lens has a crack from top to bottom about 1 inch over from side. It still works as the halogen bulbs are inside the alure lenses. Somewhere on here I think in 2nd gen posts a fellow found some brighter sealed beam units that didnt brake the bank. You have to watch how bright of a light you put in them as the electrical system wont handle more then 35w from what I have been told. It will tax the alternator. Nice job there looks good. dueyk-sometimes projects like working on you bike may be some of the best therapy for your hand. My son is a occupationaly theropy person and he tells his paitenents to work it as much as they can stand.

    Sunday Ride

At the risk of having things thrown at me I have to tell you about a ride I went on yesterday with the wife. My somewhat local Victory dealer (60 miles away) that also handles Yamaha and Suzuki's had a get together cutomer/rider appreacation day. Coffee doughnuts in AM a nice 60 or so mile loop ride in mid 70 deg weather back country roads all in all a really nice day. We returned to the dealer Sky Powersports in Lakeland Fl. and they feed us lunch, pulled pork, hot dogs potato salade and cole slaw and cold soft drinks. They also had a drawing for some hotel rooms for bike week. No I didnt win. I bet there was over 80 bikes of all makes even a fellow that had just traded his old suzuki scooter for a 650 bergman. 2 can am spyders. Here is the part I found amusing. Here they are a Victory dealer so you know they have some trade-ins. The guys from the dealer that went on the ride with us you would think could pick from just about anything they have on the floor right? one fellow own a Vic Cross Country so thats what he rode. 2 of the other guys when we got there were gear on ..............Used RSV's. I have no idea the ages other than they were both older than my 09. The tanks emblems looked a bit different. But I though "wow of all the choices they picked these". They have like 3 stores spread out thru the state, and actually my bike came from over in Port Richy Fl, a couple hours ride from my place. Man its nice to live in someplace that dont snow. (ps just looked at thier web site. The bikes were an 06 and 08)
  17. I have to admit. I just sprayed mine with "chrome paint" Looks OK to me. I think for those that have the black ones J&P cycles sells a cover or something I seem to remember.
  18. Hmmm Still no pics ?> Should we trust him??
  19. REad the post about converting AR15 to shoot 22lr. Funny thats what we had to shoot with and qualify with when I was in the Air Force because the std rounds cost to much. Aint that a hoot.
  20. Did you install it with a realy and seperate power? Or just wire it in thru the factory stuff? Save the pic on you PC. Then when your posting under where your writing goes and the smillies youll see "manage attachments" Top s3ection of that it says browse. Look on your computer where you saved it, click on it then at bottom of the attachment section hit save or whatever it says and you files should show up.
  21. Jerry is amazing. A group of us rode up to the Leesbug Fl bikefest last year. His group was "performing" Awsome is all I can say. There was a smaller stature gal maybe 130lb and she was flipping a big ole goldwing around that parking lot like it was nothing. I sure need a ton more practice.
  22. I built the diode and resistor things and mine work fine.
  23. I guess when my 100 rounds of 22lr are gone the over runners can kill me and I wont have to worry about it. They can have my 96 120k truck 02 140k truck the house we still probably owe more on than its worth and anything else. Its a conspiracy , just like gas. "the sky is falling the sky is falling gas is short supply jack the price .15c" No more bullets they are in short supply and I have some so now they are twice as much. Sorry this gun thing has just got way way stupid. If you need more than 5 rounds to hit something, you need a new past time.
  24. I ordered a couple knock offs from e-bay. I didnt get chrome though, but would guess they have them. I think I gave around $25 ea for them.
  25. Weather channel.com said average temp in Mar was 60 for high and 30 something for a low. But with the way the weather has been this winter, who the heck knows. I would take a bet on being above average. You could allways head up that way and once you get to the first night say Franklin or if you go over to your buddy;s place in Wansville see what the weather has to play out. If it looks scetchy head east and south, if looks good your set for the NC deal.
