The premis of it is cool. But all the electronic tracking etc is not for me. I dont understand these folks that think the whole world needs to know what and where they are doing. Thieves like it though. It has also caused some major family isuues and troubles. Things someone post on there they didnt tell someone else about or didnt tell them first yada yada. I dont think youll miss it much.

OK so I may have made them mad but this is what I sent.

All good questions. Whats the tie down things on the trunk? That look like an odd way to carry extra luggage. I'd send them a message asking for more info, or better yet a phone number. It looks to be at a car lot of some sort. It would take me about 6 hr to ride up there. Mike g in sc or GA wildcat might be your best bets I can think of for folks somewhat in that area. Although Warner Robins is closer to Macon. Watch the add for a few days. I'm on e-bay and I'll fire a coupl questions his way and see if they respond.

Geeze I knew there was a good reason when I moved from Oklahoma I went south. I know some of you all like the changing seasons and cold and all that. But I'll take changing the wardrobe from shorts and t-shirts to long pants and t-shirts. Burrrrrr

I guess it might be cruel to show you the forcast for out meet and eat Sat huh? But it is cooling off, 3 weeks ago it was in the 90"s. Sat Dec 7 http://s.imwx.com/v.20131006.215227/img/wxicon/70/30.png 84° 66° Partly Cloudy Chance of rain:10%Wind:SE at 6 mph

Yea kind of cool. Some guys try to go fast and cut up. I try to be calm and easy so maybe they have a better idea and outlook on use folks. Maybe even get them into motorcycling if they are thinking about it.

It is odd and ponders some questions. Why is the right control corroded and yet the left doesnt appear that way. The passenger seat looks to be splitting. Paint looks OK so I dunno if its been out in the weather or not. I think Jessup is over by the coast 50 or so miles from Savanha Ga. We got any folks over there. Heres a little safer bet maybe. I think its Ruffy has one for sale here. Shoot at least then you know how ya can bitc# at.

I dont think youll get it to match either. Any good paste wax (one that dries to a film and then buff off) should help, but wont make it match. Its kind of like when your out working in the yard and your arms get sun burned but because you had a shirt on your back aint. Maybe "clay baring" it would help some also. I dont know as I havent tried a clay bar yet, but a couple of the guys I work with have used on thier car and liked the results. -
I have a really hard time "getting into the spirit". Something about spending more than you have made almost all year. All the family get together drama, scheduling whos gonna be where and spend what day with witch family etc. And not to mention the hours to dig the christmas decorations etc out, time putting them up, then storing the boxs again for 4 weeks when you repeat the whole process again to pack up. Grrrrr Taking a cruise to Hawaii would be soooo much easier.

Saw it on news last night. The guy from Amazon said probably 3 years out. They wanted to be sure they didnt drop it on someones head or into pool or something. At least they are thinking thru it, instead of just forcing it to work like.............some stuff our government has come up with.

Why does the Y exhaust section rust first?

Try a local muffler shop. They should have stainless muffler pipe. (most cars now have stainless) They should be able to fishmouth the pipe and make you a perty nice piece. Being it has a shield to go over it the part dont have to be show quality. Shoot Id see if they could make it a tick bigger at the union and swedge down to fit the mufflers and pipes. If you look over on the first gen side I have seen some pretty nice work arounds those fellows have goten made up to the ancestrial bike. -
I dunno I thought it was the kind discribed earlier in this post. It is shown in one of post. It plugs into a 3.5mm plug, orginaly it goes to a lap top. Bob here is the listing for the mic.
-
Yes headsets work fine. Matter of fact I added a cable from up front under the faring that I run a 3.5mm for ear buds back to normal headset connection. Everything works great. Just trying to figure out this mic deal. I may be barking up the wrong tree or something here trying to make something.

I needed a reciever hitch for a dodge pickup I had. Sure didnt want to buy a new hitch, like you say they are high. Try the local salvage yards. Pretty hard to hurt one ya know. I gave about 1/2 of what a new one was.

Where can I find a front audio cable for 1st gen?

Is it not just the standard 5 pin plug type? You need from the bike to your helmet? -
I cant belive you expected them to do thier job correctly. Geeze. The important thing is now you can start a t-shirt collection. Did you get it with the sat nav? I understand they pre-program them with all the HD dealers across the US. I dunno why. Seriously though nice looking bike hope you all enjoy.

Alternatives for passing lights
djh3 replied to PERM44's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Was on another site today and a fellow found an LED headlight for H4 use. He also mentioned they had bulbs for the passing lights (H3) here is a link. Under $50 shipped to me. -
got something simular a couple months back. Something about needing to update my info for them. I promtly went directly to the pay pal site to see if there was anything there simular. Nope. But I can tell you I was pretty close to cliking the link, they really get them looking like the real deal.

About that time I was ridin one of them orange Huskys. 100 Ace I think. Still though if I understand the Apple gizmos rite they all hook up and work about the same. Just have different features. So if you got the cable it should work the same. I think I read of a fellow that was using his phone inplace of the I-pod.

Yea I dont understand why to make a bypass for the ignition switch if you still have to use the switch to make it run? The red and Br/b wire is like the main power but if the switch fries and your unlucky enough that it cooks the ecu side also your done. So what if you put 2 switches hidden to control the circuits. What other wires would you have to connect and how? I kind of tried t study the schematic in Carbon ones write up but aint getting a grasp on it neither.

OH my. Guess whoever was really going for the Harley sound. Short of welding it I guess you could use the methiod we were talking about and drill a hole thru and slide a cotter key thru both pieces to hold your added part on. But I would think you could tack weld a longer piece in there and acomplish it alot nicer.
