  1. Gas tank is easy 3 bolts. Besides then you can install a ignition by-pass relay so the switch dont burn up. lol I thought they mounted the box for that up under the fairing.
  2. yup thats them.
  3. Nothing shows up my friend. Beside MA61Amech makes a trailer deal thats plug and play.
  4. I prefer the term frugal. I dont want to break the bank either. LED wise about the only ones I have seen that are somewhat brite are the northern tool ones guys have used. They run in the $40 range. I personally have just a couple of LED H3 replacement bulbs in mine right now. I can tell you they are not very bright, my halogens were better light wise. Dont know if the CREE jobs will fit in the housing either, but dont think so.
  5. I would have to take out a line of credit to buy them. They are nice but OH MAN I could never get that past the finance dept.
  6. This is to danged funny. Some punks tried to steal this 70yr old ladies car and had to bail on the muffed up theft. They couldnt drive a stick shift. :rotf::rotf:
  7. To bad you cant make those work in the passing lights.
  8. Are you talking about the clear pieces mounted on the forks?
  9. Study up on the horn circuit. It acts backwards. The ground is controlled not the power. So when you hit the horn button you are connecting a ground not power.
  10. I have bought a pair or 2 of the reader safety glasses or sunglasses. They just dont seem to be very clear in the nonreader part. Things sort of distorted looking. I have used the stick on reader things in a couple pairs of sunglasses and they work decent. Thing is you have to get them aligned just right for your glance down to read or it takes you a little head tilting or closing one eye to get focused. Over all for a couple bucks it aint bad.
  11. Cream-White Room Crosby Stills Nash-Wooden ships-ohio
  12. Hmm I didnt know the controller needed any kind of software so to speak. I thought it was only the I-pods I had heard about having problems with flashing. Call Yamaha and see what they say. I would say you bought the bike and unit used and now it conked out. What should you do? Or you can try to go the I-simple you need help and if you dont give it thats fine I'll let the thousands of members on the internet know not to buy your POS unsupported equipment.
  13. Freebird
  14. Steppenwolf, Hendrix, Cream, Grand Funk Railroad (late 60's) I was only in Junior high then and my transistor radio couldn't get the good FM stations. LOL
  15. I just ordered a cord off e-bay for mine. I made the nifty screen cover thing as suggested by a member. Well I had been using the side plug in traffic cord. I cant think of once that the traffic thing has done anything for me. So the new cord plugs into the mini-usb port on bottom. I had read somewhere that direct wiring a GPS was not a good idea.
  16. I am guessing you watched like the center of the tread for movement left to right. I dont think I have ever seen a bike tire do that, but car tires we use to have a problem with that when belts separated. But that normally causes a "squirm" feeling. sounding like you may have to pop bead and turn like a 1/4 turn on rim.
  17. Well I meant the info and expertise was $12
  18. Jack it up so the front tire will rotate. Then set something so it almost touches the tire and you can use that as a reference point. Maybe a socket, then spin the tire and see if its out of round. Then look at tire as its spinning and see if the sidewall if back and forth.
  19. Yes they are. They also have to be "wired into" the intercom. They run about $140 last I saw. I solved my "whoosh" in ears byt installing push to talk cut off switches. Push button its on and stays on. Push again it turn off. They were like $35 a piece.
  20. The wife and I got a couple wicking long sleeve shirts in a neon green in teh sports wear section or K-mart I think. they are light and do a good job. Helps you be seen also.
  21. Gary your figures may be correct on the 4.58amp draw but you need to x2 as you have 2 bulbs. I think the 55w jobs are a bit to much of a draw. Now if you have reduced in other places like marker lights have went to LED, headlight to HID or LED taking less power it gives room to play. With the dinky little wires going to the headlight I wouldnt run my 80/100w halogen headlight because it scared me it would fry the wires. The wires on my passing lights dont look much better.
  22. Good to hear it worked out for you. So now just look at all the experience you got. And all for $12
  23. Wife and I took a ride up to Lakeland for some birthday shopping for granddaughter. Its about a 65 mile drive one way. We took mostly backroads up this am. Left around 9 and was low 80s. Still by 945 when got stopped in traffic up by there we were cooking. Coming home we dodged the afternoon pop up storms. Well sort of. just as we were ready to get off an expressway it got us a little, but if was nice and cool for about 20 min. I think 2 of the hottest places I have ever rode a bike besides when I was stationed in Southwest Ok were Charleston SC in July and Savanna just about anytime between March and Nov.
  24. Happy B-day Bob. Tell me you did this on the Kawasaki.
  25. Man, good thing you dont live here. You would only be able to ride like 3 months maybe......
