If you want a Clymer I have one in good condition. I no longer have the venture so no need.

A trials rider would have no problem doing that me thinks.

They dont teach science and usefull stuff. The teach FCAT or what ever test they use to get the federal dollars. I got high school students in my auto mechanics classes that cant tell you what temperature water boils at, what temp is freezing and how to do some simple addition and subtraction of decimals.

Heck, most stuff you buy now dont even come with a printed owners manual. A "quick start" guide is about all ya get and a web site to download a manual.

I recently (July I think) sold my 96 Cummins. I have been looking for over a year for a new to me crew cab. Finally found one in my price range that I was OK with. 2012 Ram 2500 4wd. 112k Truck is apparently in good condition. Wish I had a pic of the sales guy when I was looking at truck and rolled under it to check things out. Guess he had not seen that before. You can make all the stuff up top look pretty. But its hard to do that underneath.

You answered some of my questions with the tire/wheel change. I use to run my RSV with no air in front forks after a fluid change to one step heavier. How about wheel bearings? Where they changed with the wheels? What brand/type tires are on it ? Some have more of a tendency to track. -
Thanks for being kind hearted to those folks. Now I know exactly what will fix that conundrum. A traffic circle, just ask the traffic engineers.

I have been looking for awhile now. Just sold my 96 2500 Cummins in like April or so. I was looking for a crew cab probably a year before that. In the price range I wanted to stay in pickings were thin. I ended up with a 2012 Ram 2500 with the 5.7. I would have prefered the 6.4 but I am not really towing anything rite now and if I do get a toy hauler or something we will just stay within our weight, which is like over 12k any ways. 112k on it but its a clean looking truck. Sales man looked at me kinda funny when I crawled under it a few times to look things over. LOL

Airports are a good place to get good gas. But they wont let you fill up your scoot. Marinas may be the same way if you can get to the pumps. There is no road tax on that fuel, much like farm fuel. Thats why "farm diesel" for instance is red not blue. I can buy "can gas" at the airport. I just tell them its for a race car. But storing fuel in gas cans at home is not preferable. I have not been to the gas station since last post to see if I misspoke.

Here in the lower 48 "most" high octane IE 91 or better is usually ethanol free. When I traveled for work, it seemed the mid-west fuel was more likely to have ethanol added to higher octane fuels. Just checked gas buddy and one of the stations that has alcohol free reg gets as much for that as the "normal" stations I use get for high test. LOL Guess I'll have to check the pumps next time I go for the high test alcohol content if any.

Did ya go gas or clanker engine.

I have found Pure gas may not be totally up to date. So if your out on the road on a trip, you may not want to take that a gospel. For awhile here in my town they had like 4 stations listed, actually there was 2. But hey if your putting down miles, does it really matter if you burn thru a tank of E10? But is a handy app. In Oct when we were up in the mountians of NC and Ga the closest station was like 60 miles.

It will connect to a bluetooth connection. What I can tell you is on my Victory it will tell me connected to phone, then a bit later it connects to "media" which is the BT on the bike radio. There was some info on here about connecting all that kind of stuff. I think he figured he would have to use the freewire thing SENA has. The newer upgrade SENA units (read more $$$$) may do what your looking for. However I did read some not so good reviews on the "mesh" type systems if you do group rides. For me it would be no big deal as usually its just me and the wife.

Have no idea fro the new Venture. But if that was for a second gen (99-2014) I would say thats about it except another spanner and a spark plug socket. What ya need is a credit card and a cell phone so you can call a tow.

How do you change a rear tire on that truck?

I have an old Lincoln 220 Bar Box stick and a 110 Craftsman Wire Feed. I bought the bottle after trying the flux stuff and it looking like boogers thrown out the window. But it sat for a long time and I guess the seal in the regulator went bad and bottle leaked out the minute I opened the valve last time. So I dunno what I would do next time I need it. The gas defiantly makes a nicer weld.

No need to modify, drill etc. Rid some longer rides with them like 4-6 hours before you decide to mess with them. I put mine on and around town and for say 2 hours I didnt mind them. Then I took a 3500 mile trip with a couple of 500+ days and the sound got to me. Lucky I had some ear buds with me to plug in and it helped knock out the sound. Now even though I'm on a different bike I still use ear plugs/buds

Some info I have collected over the years of plugs. We ran standard plugs in a drag car in the early 70's, its all we could get. Then Copped core plugs became available. The Copper plug because it had better properties for spark ran a better spark. Our problem was they burned up a little faster. FFwd to today, platinum, iridium and other precious metals. They have even better properties, and the metals are "harder" and dont burn up. If you can get them in the heat range they are worth running. They should produce a more direct spark.

Looks like the 95b is a Cat muffler. http://www.surdyke.com/PartsMain.aspx?PartNumber=65846-95B&SubCatID=214&CatID=5&Name=Touring&CatName=Exhaust%20Systems%20%E2%80%93%20Touring

I thought this whole Obama care thing was anyone that worked "full time 40 hr" they had to provide "access" to health care. Now some of them are dangded expensive but they offer it. Glad you got a plan in place that seems to be working out. I only work (well get paid) for 30 hr a week. They sent me a letter saying I could participate in insurance program. I work at a small state college. If I participated with the wife on my policy I would bring home about $30 a month.

Fool, can you go ask neighbors? Maybe see if they experience same thing or maybe have a remedy for it. I use to live on the flight path of the Air Base I was stationed at. I had about the biggest antenna I could get, signal amp and I was lucky to get the PBS from OKC, ABC from Lawton and maybe a CBS from there, occasionally with adjustment a couple stations fuzzy from Amarillo. Planes did not seem to bother me there, other than you just couldnt hear anything for about 2 min while they turned overhead.

Indian Unveils Liquid-Cooled PowerPlus 108 V-twin

Puc I dont know about that. Basically that engine is what 20+ years old design. While it has been tried and proven, chances are it just wont be able to make emissions. Look at all the tried and true car engines that have had to go by the wayside in the last oh say 10 years. Who da thunk a 2.4l engine would pull a 1/4 ton truck? Not me. Heck I had a Mercury Lynks (Escort) that had about that size motor and it sucked in a 2000lb car. Now we are pulling a 4k truck and it make like 300 hp. All the 2 strokers are dead because of emission regs, so look for other long standing motors to go by by. -

Hmm I like it. That sucks because now I would have to come up with an excuse to buy one. -
I'm with Puc. You have the donor engine so them parts are free. Also it's newer. Mine was an 09, the couple I ran across with the whine were 07 I think. One had pulled a trailer for some of its life, and it was loud. So if you take the donor part and modify it as mentioned all you have invested is some time and an oil change.
