  1. Put your other glasses on.
  2. I use a couple of 2x4 pieces to keep the disc from contacting the ground. So you lay those down and place the rim on it, then a longer 2x4 with a piece of a 2x2 against the bead of tire. I put one end under the hitch on the truck and make a fulcrum. The short piece of wood contacts the bead and you push down on the 2x4 with your weight. it should pop the bead. Then you need a couple of long tire spoons about $9 @ harbor freight I think and a couple rim savers. Plastic pieces that slip on rim so you dont gouge them with the spoons. Or you can split some gas line and use it. Then once its mounted up I put dyna beads in and away you go. The rear takes more time because you have to take the exhaust and bags etc off.
  3. Well depending on how long its been "left over" you may want to rethink you process. Brake fluid is notoriously bad for absorbing moisture from the atmosphere even if capped tightly. A pint of DOT4 from autozone is only about $5 And I can make a pint do a complete front rear and clutch bleed.
  4. Mike, I go back and forth. I have a set of slash cut HD touring muffs. They are OK around town and short trips of maybe an hour or so around here. A couple years ago when I first got them I thought "man these are great". Then took a 1800 mile trip up to NC with them thru the mountains and long freeway stretches. When I got home I couldnt wait to get them off. My ears rang for days and I wore earbuds the whole trip. So I go back and forth, if I know I have a long trip coming up I switch them out.
  5. I always look forward to the first ride of the year also. Usually around Jan 1. Year around riding down here too.

    207 MPH Bicycle

And I thought the the other day was fast.
  7. Seaking: WOW glad to hear you finally got that sorted out. You did leave the by-pass relay installed after the new switch showed up right? I was amazed when we talked about your crummy run of luck of one thing after another going bad.
  8. Not sure and would have to check, but I think I have a 16gb card in my 765T.

    NOV.11th

Yea I might have to go take one of the fine establishments up on their offer. the boss is out of town for a couple days on business. But thanks to the rest of my brothers in arms also for their service. I know some of you all gave up a heck of a lot more than I did, but most of us wouldnt trade our service for anything.
  10. Yea sometimes there is a limits as to how much and what definition card will be recognized. Like a digital camera we have will only accept or recognize I think its a 32gb card in up to HD format. It will not see the SHD or whatever the newer card is.
  11. It sounds real close to what my 09 would do. Only mine was when you would switch from main to reserve. If you got it early it seemed, the pump would be fine. If you let it go until it missed quite a bit, the pump wouldn't catch. Almost like it got hot and had to cool off a bit. After it almost got me run over twice, I installed a Mr Gasket. but yours is still under warranty. Maybe explain to the dealer the issue all of us have figured out on the fuel pumps. Take them a couple of pictures, you know point them in the direction and see if they will check it out. you need to let the dealer at least take a stab at it. Oh and you may wiggle in something like "if this happens to me and someone gets hurt, the next guy in here will be lawer" or something like that if you get a noncommittal response to looking at it. Unfortunately most dealers are not real familiar with the RSV/TD bikes. Even though there have been 10's of thousands of them sold.
  12. Some nice deals on large cabins up in North Carolina. Some have lofts with sleeping quarters, Pool tables and hot tubs. Take a day trip over to Marrie Valley or Ashville and the Biltmore Estate.
  13. Yea OK. Hey by the way got some land down here for ya to buy.
  14. Hmm OK then I regress to my wifes fix all. Magic eraser sponge. Seriously these things are something else. Other than that maybe the gel type plastic renew stuff. I have some made by turtle wax, its pretty thick stuff.
  15. Jeff, I suppose you are correct there.
  16. I made a harness that plugs into the comm under the fairing. I soldered in a cable with a 3.5mm headphone jack and ran it back along the OEM cable. I run ear buds with my headset all the time now. I hear music better, the voice comm is clearer and road noise is way down. I have seen several videos on you Tube on clipping out the J&M type speakers and soldering in regular headset speakers. sometimes they have to dremel the things apart, but usually if you use the thinner ones they will fit. And better quality speakers to boot.
  17. Try some mink oil. Being an ex-GI I pretty much have always had leather boots. I worked outside in elements all the time and very seldom did my socks get wet. All because of good leather care. Mink oil will keep them supple and waterproof. Should get into the grain and eliminate the whitish color.
  18. captdrac : You DO realize today is NOV 5th right?

  21. Hmmm You must be talking about the elections. This is kind of what my thoughts were when I knew I wont have to listen to 2 more months of negative Gubernatorial mud slinging here in Fla. The idiots here re-elected the same crook. They could have elected the former crook who changed party like 3 times, or better yet put someone new in.
  22. Glad your doing OK Jeff. Sometimes I think these Dr operate (no pun) like car sales people. Usually about the 3rd question is "how much do you owe on your trade"? Then surprisingly enough thats pretty close to what they will give you. Docs same thing. I think they put in how much the insurance wil let them milk out. Me being on military and VA medical, not to much, so doc's usually send me down the pike, if they are civilian.
  23. I was looking for Snoopy to come running in and jump in the pile.
