  1. I had a convertible top on a Mustang that had a couple small leaks. I used some marine glue from Permatex I think.
  2. Soooo Guess he went to one of them quick oil change places eh?
  3. Hmm, thats interesting. Bigger shoe maybe?
  4. LOL Yea I have even got the wife to watch some of her travels since she has had to go back home. Some interesting information I have learned about Netherlands in just a few weeks.
  5. I teach at a college. If we are in "the personal space" we are to wear a mask so I do. I have tried the white N95 type, and it rubs my nose raw and its hard to get glasses to fit rite. So I bought a "neck gaiter" it works a lot better but can be hot around my neck. So this week I have been using just the paper "procedure" mask. I like it best as it is a little less restrictive and there for cooler. I have mixed thoughts on the whole mask thing. If you wear one it has to filter the air some no matter what the material is. The goofy things about this whole deal is like was mentioned. These ding bats wear gloves and mask into the store, then get in car open the door start car and drive off. All with their "used" gloves etc on. So they bring the germs into their car fro the next trip. So I went to the grocery store the other day. I get to Publix and park. As I'm walking in Mr Harley tuff guy pulls up on his Touring bike. No helmet and opens trunk. Then he pulls out a mask and proceeds to go in store. I'm thinking "OK so your tuff enough your gonna challenge pavement with your melon, but your worried about a germ?"
  6. I have some jack stands around here but I have no idea where they came from I have had them so long.
  7. LOL I changed probably a half dozen rears on my RSV and a couple friends. I never used heat, does the muffler need to come off? I dont think so. Once you get bike high enough seems I remember you can get sockets etc on there fine. If you take a little weight off the tire/wheel once you got nut off and pinch bolt loose I may have used a brass drift once or twice. But I think it always came out easy.
  8. If memory serves right, Milwaukee bought out Porter Cable maybe 10 or so years back.
  9. I just used like a 12" crescent, if I remember right. Cause I think my largest open/box is about an inch or so also.
  10. Puc I agree on tha e old school analog being a good meter to have for some stuff. I was working on some trailer lighting issues last week @ my fill in job till the school opend back this week. Its hard as hell to see correct voltage indication on a signal on a digital. At least on the OG meter it would wave at ya.
  11. My son has som Ryobi impact and drills. They work good and all use the same 18V battery. At work in our shop we recently bought some Husky brand from Home Depot. Lifetime warrenty. We bought flashlights for all the 6 boxs and a couple impacks, drills to sign out. Have not used them much but so far they seem to be good tools.
  12. Relay is under left side cover by floorboard. I think you may need to take the floorboard off. Any Ford Some look like this Some look like this They all do the same.
  13. Many restaurants in surrounding area are allowed to open with 25% inside seating. Some have elected to not even bother opening with this restriction. I assume it is not even profitable for them to open and have staff for that amount. I think that buffet as we have known them are a thing of the past. Not my favorite type of place but have had some good meals at them. If they stay around I think it will be more like cafeteria style, someone will dish it up and hand it to you instead of everyone digging in for themselves.
  14. I actually changed the fork oil to the next heavier oil and didnt even run air in them. Rear I think in the 30 range solo and close to 40 with rider and her stuff.
  15. I did a Mr.Gasket pump. Some worry about the check valve thing. If you can afford it the Facet is a good alternative. Only advantage it has of the MG is a check vavle. I always shut my petcock off at end of day so It wasnt a huge deal for me. Make sure the vent tube is open before you go to far.
  16. I'm on the other end of this kind of deal. First my college was open and "no problem paying you thru May" 2 days later "we are closing Friday, you need to apply for unemployment". 3 days later I finally got in to file. Supposed to go back May 4th. Today I find out nope now 18 May. So I am working in a fill in job landscaping/maintenance in a mobile home park. Not my cup O tea, but its more money than the unemployment I'm not getting.
  17. On a side note here, just because you buy say Kuryakin parts dont expect the chrome to last more than a couple years. Within about 2 years mine started pitting. So I took them apart and wire wheeled the flaky chrome off and painted them.
  18. Arrgh You got me hooked. I watched a couple middle of S1, but jumped to S2 and have caught all the way up to when she had to go back home. I also watched her "live feed" video but it wasnt live when I saw it. She sure has a much better attitude when things go south than I do.
  19. I keep trying to guess when is going to be the rite time to fill up the truck.
  20. Absolutely no info in that article. From what you can read to me it sounds as though she had some kind of medical issue. Backrest? maybe, maybe not. Helmet? Who knows
  21. Yea I'm with ya. I was told by the college, "no problem we are gonna pay you thru end of your contract in May. A few days later, "well we are closing and we will pay you 2 weeks, file for unemployment". Gee thanks along with the other 200k or what ever it is people in Fla filing and the web site crashes every day. I really have half a mind to start looking at Lowes or something that is still up and running.
  22. I have found on the bike about every 3 years I have to go shop because they have jacked the rates up. Had Geico and 3 years they went up like 150, so went to someone else, I forget now, then 3 years later same deal then went to Dairyland, now Progressive.
  23. Ram Mount X mount.
  24. I have Progressive. Got on the text message thing with someone today to ask about refund everyone is talking about. It will be applied at end of May. But at this time they are not applying it to motorcycles.
  25. From what I found most all the bits between the 99-2013 Venture and TD parts swap over. The ignition wiring is a bit different, but engine, mufflers all cross. Seats tanks ahndle bars are different.
