If a second gen was involved, I would guess a puked shock. But if the can-am was parked there I dunno. Last can-am I rode the oil went in the gas.

Intermitent crap drives me nuts. Maybe the shield on the coax wasnt in the connector good or something. Crazy stuff happens, and sometimes its just the way it is.

Help with knowledge on electrical connectors, crimpers etc.
djh3 replied to Droneh8tr's topic in GPS, Audio, Electronics
It does take a developed touch on the crimp type pliers to get a good connection. Squeezing for all its worth is not allways a better connection. -
So How many of us are spending our Christmas Eve at work?

Dont have a job to go to anymore, rite now. Worked a bunch of holidays while active duty Air Force. -
I try hard NOT to go to Doc. (See Pucs thread) So its OK for LEO's to write a ticket and you fund the courts just to prove them wrong. Thats part of why I decided to just pay the ticket instead of fund the court and the lawyers boat payment. Like insurance, its the lesser of 2 evils I guess.

Passenger bag and cup holder ideas? 2nd Generation RSMV.
djh3 replied to samklr650's topic in Bike Accessories
Chubby cup Chubby Cups | Hog Cups you can just. Flip the cam lever and rotate the holder out of way of lid to gain access. She loves hers. My backrest has a pouch on the back and its held on by velcro. There are bags made, that go on the rear crash bars for storage also. But definatly not easy to get to while riding. -
I have a hot tub outside. Perminate type I guess you might call it. It has a cover on it and I would think if you had a cover on the soft sided ones it should hold the moisture in. Now the inside of the cover get pretty wet for sure. Im sure you are also aware that the portable jobs are probably 110v and cost more to run and wont have quite the pumps etc the 220v jobs do.

I mounted my Stebel up front. I figured it would put it a little closer to the possible offender. Took old horn out and installed air horn. Then a few months back I found this pretty loud "beep" type horn from sick speed. It works pretty dang good in conjunction with the stebel.

I make a ignition by-pass relay, just so the switch does not carry the entire load across it. I also can make a "keyless" by-pass set up if that is what you want. I have them for sale in the member vendor section (standard relay). Or drop me a PM for any questions. Its a plug and play outfit. -
1st Dodge Challenger Hellcat sold in Colorado......

High performance car. Low performance driver. Thats partially the reason whyn Vipers came out at first you got a car cont f rol class thru Skip Barber racing school. -
Wait a dogone minute here. Why would you want to take an extra noise maker off? If 1 horn is good why would w not be better? If loud pipes possibly save lives (so I have read) why wouldn loud horns?

Look in the piviot point of the forks. The passing light "bundle" of wires is there. Sometimes they will get pin vh1 ed or a bullit connector comes loose. But definatly sounds like a ground problem.

The Mr Gasket pump does not have a ck valve. There is a write up I did in the 2nd gen tech section. I have had one on my bike for better than a year I think and no problems related to the pump and no ck valve.

OK so I had to look it up and see what I could find for helmet law in the communist state of Calif. This page is interesting. PUC it says your fine could have been anything from a "fix it fine of $10" to $250. I would post all the boring writing but dont want to take up the space. But it dont say nuttin about color choice. I know I know you paid it rather than haggle. I was the same way last year on one of them dang red light camera scams down here. I could fight it for about $100 or so, but if I lost it would have been way over $300. I dont get why it cost me $130 to prove I was right and then I'm out the cash. The court and lawyer is the only one making out on this deal. It was no points so heck I just paid the $158 and counted my lumps. Hey if you got time this article is interesting to read. Its about the CHP and them going after "illegal" helmets and ticketing folks because the CHP "believed" the helmet to not measure up. So on the flip side, if the communist state of Calif says "XYZ" helmet is OK and you get a bump on the noggin, can you sue them because the helmet they say is good allowed you to get an injury?

Here is the link for the passing light relay installation. You can use what they are for power to fire the relay, or actually pull power off say the AUX power outlet, which is turned on when the key is. that way it will let you run the light on low beam or high beam headlight operation. You will need to run a fused power wire from battery or some place that will sustain the draw.- 10 replies

Response #2 tells you where the fuses are located. If its one of the dealer installed passing lights it will have a rubber covered push button switch. they are wired to suck power off the low beam of the headlight. So if you have a standard headlight and then add 2x 35w bulbs on top of that to go thru a 15a fuse what do ya think?? thats why you can find a dozen write ups about running them off a relay and a separate power source.- 10 replies

I mounted one up lower left by leg fairing. Removed lower filler cosmetic panel and installed it there. I didnt want to put it under the fairing and muffle any sound. Has anybody seen the Denali Sound Bomb horn? Looks like a knock off stebel sort of.

WOW PUC never heard of that going on before. BUT we are talking about California, where they get $15 an hour for working in McD. SO white helmets are illegal in Calif?? What the hay? Is that stated on say the motorcycle aftermarket places selling helmets? "you can not buy a white helmet to operate a motorcycle in Calif" Whats next? You cant paint your bike black and white? I can understand if your state is non-helmet and theirs has helmets. But as long as its a DOT lid, now you tell me it has to be a certain color? YIKES sumtin fishy there

OH MAN. Now you done did it. You let the majic smoke out probably. your right on your suspicion of a blown fuse if you were using the aux plug up by the fairing. Although it looks like a "cig lighter" the fuse in there is like 5 amp I think. SO chances are your compressor maxed it out. The headlight I'm not sure, but should be fused separately, provided someone has not been in there previously. The headlight fuse is behind the left side cover by seat. Unfortunately the fuse for the aux power outlet is behind the right leg fairing. So Yamaha didn't do use any favors there. I have in the past, when I found out the fuse for that was in there and they are soooo much fun to get off, putting a 20a fuse in there and adding a fuse under the fairing at the aux plug @ 5a. Should do the same thing.- 10 replies

For whatever reason the 56 is my favorite of the tri-5 series. Not into the fins on the 57 I guess and everybody when I was in high school wanted a 55. So there ya go. Then in 58 GM killed the body line. that was the most unappealing tank. Way more weight and goofy suspension. Would rather have an 59 Impala I think it was with the flat type fins.

I think they have to let you. Its one of those interstate commerce things. I think it would be just like say a licence. Say your state does not require an endorsement for MC and Conn does. They cant not allow you to operate or passage as long as you are in compliance in your state. If your state does not require vehicle inspections, they cant make you get one before entering.

I dont think we really have a "tradition" for christmas meal anymore. Since the first grand baby the kids are sometimes at his wifes family, sometimes our place. Last year they went north to NC. And every couple years we go to my bro-in law to eat. So I guess our tradition is to mix it up. Lol
