  1. I hate to say. Sufice to say it was shorts weather.
  2. Well after Sunday ride up to the strawberry festival and oh 3hr or so riding time this weekend, I've had enough of the HD muffs for awhile. lol Changed back to the OEMs again.
  3. Neat idea. I could see it being useful. Especially for those that someone in the house thinks that garage means storage area.
  4. I have a dowco rally pack I use when solo. I really like it. pack your clothes etc in those space saver bags that as you roll them vacume seal and your gear stays dry. Best advice a fellow biker ever gave me.
  5. I had for quite awhile one of the ebay specials. Wasnt to bad, but after a ouple months I had to gorilla glue one of the swivel parts. No problem as by then I had figured where I want it. Then maybe a year or so later the other adjustment simular thing and fix. Over all I got my 8 buck ot whatever out of it. I replaced it with a ram mount X type.
  6. Best kind of oil??????? Clean oil.
  7. You might want to look at Wheels through time if your time permits. Maybe Gattlinburg one day.
  8. Condesent drain so water that condenses has some placeto go while warming up.
  9. The just passed some kinf of law dealing with unlocking your phone when your contract is up if you bought it under a contact. But a pay as you go deal I would think falls under the "paid up " contract. Surley ther is some teenage hacker that can do it near by.
  10. OH MAN I forgot all about Meers. Then got me to thinking about The Old Plantation Inn @ Medicne Park Ok outside Lawton. They use to have some of the best steaks and rolls.. mmmmmm The place in Franklin was Caff'e Rel
  11. I have maybe an odd view. But I personaly think those that want to throw thier weight around to show you the are in charge would do it weather a LEO or a valet parking lot attendant. Unfortunatly it has a worse effect if its already someone with a position of authority.
  12. Boy the weather dont look to be stacking up good for you.
  13. Actually a couple Flyins explaination are plausable. We had a piece of carbon bust loose and completly smash the plug closed. Also I think the idea of heat causing the distortion. Could be the metal heat treat was flawed.
  14. See I couldnt do the film thing. Id getcaught up in traffic or cut off and there would be alot of beeeeep. lol
  15. Hmm Ice Cream probably has to be the Jackson Dairy in Jackson Mi. An unuaual mom n pop was in Franklin NC. On the side of this gas station was a little French restraunt. You would never know its there and had nice atmosphere inside, but not to ritizy ditzy fancy.
  16. Yea I was in simular situation. I atleast did get a severance, but it rare in this state. This "right to work state" is a joke. I have got into my old resumes and had to re-write the thing because there are absolutly no jobs in this state that I was doing. Sucks at my age to have to restart all over. Probably your in simular boat.
  17. OH man the suction cup thing just scares the heck outta me. I had mine in the truck last week to go up to ST Pete for an appointment. I turned a corner and "clunk" it let go and was sliding on the dash back and forth.
  18. Depends on where its leaking as to weather or not it can be fixed. Tubes can be fixed. Problem with these and newer car radiators are the tanks are "clamped" in and they are plastic. So if for some reason they wiggle around or something to dislodge the tank from the core, they are done.
  19. Yea I think its still way way louder than the OEM beeper.
  20. SilverT, hey the faring on that 750 looks like the Pacifica I had on my GS1100.
  21. Everything for the last say 10 years or so has been "lean tuned". Some for MPG more so to meet the EPA specs. Lean it out it runs hotter and supposedly burns the fuel more and also n the way out. Add some fuel and it cools off but emissions go up. On the CAT on the HD, I saw a you tube video a fellow did on his street glide I think it was. He used his multi meter and rode it like 15 min and checked them at head pipes. Then he gutted the cat and did same ride and checked them. It was something like over 200 deg cooler I think. I know the header wrap stuff works. but do I want that ugly looking cra on my 30K bike? Even with more chrome trying to cover it? The big twin Kawasakis Voyagers fight the same kind of problem and they are water cooled.
  22. Barry more advance notice I might have been able to shadow with you. 2 years back I made it from Bluefield WV to home in 12.5 hours something like 752 miles. Not any speed record I'm sure. but I had to ride thru charlotte at like 9am, Jacksonville around 3pm heavy construction and Orlando at 6 pm. So efficient traffic flow was not rolling well in some of those places. I can see where super slab routing and away from big cities is essential. Good luck and ride safe friend.
  23. Don I think I can relate to your woes. My wife is the staff member and as such coordinates 4 very large events with multiple volunteers. They have a problem and think she should drop whatever to work on their problem. But times that by 4 and 10-15 min here and there and the day is gone man. If I boo boo and put something in the wrong place a note "hey dummy thats not where it goes, move it or loose it" would work for me. If you took the 15 min to move and relist etc when would you have time to completely rebuild, reorganize and fine tune this neat little place we have. I think you did fine.
  24. The bad thing is your stuck. The radiators only fit one machine, so sort of a special made kind of thing and a very small market. Far as I know it would be to much fabricating to maybe find something "close" and make it work. Also the like 05 thru 09 Tour Deluxe use the same radiator, so might be worth a look see. You never know they might be a tick cheaper.
  25. I use a long handle phillips screwdriver to loosen the band clamp. Then I think its 10mm socket and you will need a wiggler to get to one of them I think its the top. but they come out easy enough without pulling the lowers. Those are a PIA.
