  1. Well they certainly have came down from the last time I looked at them.
  2. Heres a listing for one. About $4
  3. I have one like this. I think I got it all wal mart and payed under $10. It is as accurate as my $100 "Rebco race tire" gauge is and repeatable. I also have one that has a different kind of "nipple" end and it never goes on straight and lets pressure out, so I wont use it. The end is much like this, but gauge is a bit shorter. You have to watch you dont get to long of a snout on them or you might not get it in to valve to check. The tires that have 90 deg elbows on them are OK, but my front is still a tight fit depending on where the valve is when checking.
  4. NAH dont think its the issue. It passed the 60/60/60 rule.
  5. One side is slightly longer than the other I think. Also saw where someone used same idea and added a piece of naugahyde or something they had with velcro to extend the visor if need be.
  6. For the OEM size Shinko 150/80-16 load=761 Rear is 992# The 130 (in the 777) front is a bit less and I guess thats why the fellow recommended the OEM size.
  7. Yea me did think of that. The ballast being weak and not firing the bulb all the way. Good thing I didn't use my volt meter. I finally saw where it says 600v max. That would have for sure let the magic smoke out. Looks like if it is the ballast a couple bucks will buy me a new one.
  8. Nope When I emailed their customer support he said the 230 is best for 2nd gen. And a higher load rating also I think.
  9. I really liked my C2 while I had them. Trying out a pair of Shinkos this time around.
  10. I have a custom designed (I think Flyinfool helped me out) on off switch with warning light. So its been on a switch since installed. I found a pair of bulbs for decent price and went ahead and ordered it.
  11. 6 cyl vs 4 and more cubic inch. Both being stock, there aint no substitute for cubic inches. Alot to be said for rider control also.
  12. Just commented on a thread about that. It seems you can buy a unit you can import your maps from your PC to unit, also no audio output jack. I know most "new" bikes and cars have bluetooth something if you had MP3 in use and it would also send your directions via bluetooth. By the way here is the "sun shield" I made upon recommendation from a member.
  13. Look here. They look pretty close. Of course the Street Pilot is not waterproof, which neither is my Nuvi 765T. Being Mc specific I think the display may be a bit different on the Zumo. but for the price I think I can work around. My 2 big points when I was looking were #1 Able to import custom routes from my PC #2 audio out put jack. Which none of the current Nuvi models do anymore. So now days I reckon your screwed into buying a MC unit if you want that.
  14. I have a pair of Shinko's on a 2nd Gen. So far @ 5K they look OK. I had Michelin C2 on before these. They went better than 17K. For the price if you do your own tire changes I'd say they are worth a try. I will also impress upon tire pressures being key.
  15. OK folks. Pulled the light out and tried to turn it on and nothing. Not even a glimmer. Center of bulb is black. Looks like the old time flash bulbs for a camera, al-a Kodak brownie. My best guess bulb fried. Looks like I can find one for about $12-15 on e-bay.
  16. Noticed yesterday when I pulled in front of a store that the headlight was not on. I checked the switch for my HID and it was on. So now have faring apart and looking at grounds etc. All OHM out ok. When the switch is flipped the light makes a light bluish what looks like attempt to start but goe out. So it has power and looks like it wants to start, but dont. Sooo how do I know if its a bulb or the XXXXX,00000 volt out put ballast. I tried to get the wife to hold onto the wires for the bulb while I turned it on, but she wouldn't help me. Seriously though I think on the ballast it says something like 23,000v. Dont know if my volt meter would work or not. I dont want to buy a $35 bulb only to find out the ballast is done. If the ballast is done its almost as cheap to replace the whole works I think. Thanks gus for any info. Guess I will have to find the halogen to go back in to ride until I get some answers.
  17. I thought Eddie payed around $480 for a Hagon. Either shock from what I have read is quality product.
  18. Made one of those out of a file cad box from Office Depot. $3 fair job. What I will say happens though, if I have on a hi vis vest or shirt, the lime green reflection and it makes the screen un-seeable. Im using a garmin 765.
  19. I went on an Indian test ride last Friday. Not really interested in them styling wise. I hopped on a scout. Boy was that way different than the RSV. Did not care for the throttle by wire. And motor seemed to be surging when at steady speed.
  20. As has been mentioned. I think they changed the design. So until stocks have been depleted, it is possible to get the "old" type top longer filter. And if it is the non-dipped top and you got it on and no leaks. your a luckier guy than me.
  21. The ones I got, every time power is applied they change mode. So say are low now and turn key off, next time powered weather by key or switch they go to next mode. But I can tell you I have turned them on to high and then rode, turned bike off when I got somewhere and then restarted and they were still on high beam. So I just fire bike and check before getting on to see where the beams are operating. I built a little switch pad and put a micro toggle switch and a momentary off button in it so it would break circuit to switch beams.
  22. Fords Garage over Ft Myers way has good burgers. And no green skys and barns and stuff blowing around. We were going to try Sarasota once one of the Amaish places. Like I mentioned we are out until May at least as weekends are work weekends until then.
  23. Bert, for me I like the sound around town and short trips of say maybe an hour. I find however when the wife and I go on a longer trip and have to ride say 4 hours or all day. The noise gets to be grating even with ear buds in. But are ez enough to swap on and off, so I just swap around when I want to. Good luck they do sound nice without sounding like a thrashing machine.
  24. Much better "deal" than my buy rotella and get "free filter" My "free filter" has cost me about $18 now. lol
  25. So how many of you guys remember Dave Aldana?
